Copp seems to mesh pretty well with Cat and Kane. You can’t have him at 2C for the long run and expect to win anything, but props to him for being serviceable there and helping us bank points towards a playoff berth.
ASP did have a great assist on the shorthanded goal.
Not a perfect night but not a bad game by any means. All four lines played their roles well enough. The top two lines were exactly that. The kid line was the mixed bag you’d expect, more (statistically expected) production than the fourth/defensive line but also the most defensively vulnerable. The fourth line was by far the least dangerous offensively but also the only line to hold Calgary to an xG under 0.6 when they were on the ice (they were actually at like 0.44, so genuinely a pretty shutdown line even with JVR with them).
Hard to be disappointed in the team right now in any way. Sure there’s inconsistencies and holes to fill, but with 5 guys aged 22 and below including two 20 year olds, and 12 total on the roster 26 and younger, I couldn’t ask for much more out of this lineup. It’s really too bad the Olympics has to pause our season because as exciting as it will be, I just hope we can keep momentum and health.
ASP has been great the past two games. Seems like the kid is figuring it out.
Let’s go Copper!
I think Copp is the perfect fit between those two guys. Strong skater and hard worker. I think the skill cat and Kane possess will rub off on Copp making him better naturally. Cool

Close enough. Welcome back, Production Line!

Copp has quietly been pretty good lately.
