Do you think buster is worried about an upcoming salary cap? I don’t see why wouldn’t pay him whatever he wants, one of the best bullpen arms in the league.

  1. I don’t see other teams wanting him more than we do. It just doesn’t make sense to me. Obviously there’s a chance somebody else overpays but we need the arm, the fans and organization like the guy, there better be a good-faith effort to get him back in a Giants uniform.

  2. It’s really disappointing that the giants have a reputation for being a team likely to get outbid. 5th most valuable franchise in the mlb.

  3. One of those times I wish the Giants would just pay what it takes. Ty’s underrated and I can’t imagine what his arm slot does to mess with hitters. Makes the rest of the bull pen more effective.

  4. never should’ve let him go🤷🏻 my favorite pitcher since big time Timmy Jim, noone throws as cool as those two ill die on that hill. it’s never been about velocity for me it’s all about style fwyh

  5. Well, Buster did say they were in the memory-making business. And now it appears Tyler Rogers in a Giants uniform is all but a memory

  6. Any team who values 9th inning will value 8th inning as well he invokes grounders with the best – giants will need this as they run on one run game differentials

  7. Let me see if I’m reading this correctly. Something didn’t happen and maybe something won’t happen but this specific thing (we think) is more likely to not happen than to happen (today) subject to something actually happening. Yup, it’s the off season!

  8. Unacceptable. We all thought this was a quick rental, “we got you in the offseason” type situation. I hate the Giants play poor and won’t go that little .xxx over to make it work. We have one of the top 5 teams most valuable teams in baseball with a net worth north of 4 billion. I hate that we pull nonsense like this. Tripping over dollars to save pennies…

  9. Nobody ever comes back to sign with a team that traded them at the deadline. I knew it was all copium.

  10. Not paying this man is a pretty poor decision any way you slice it.

The Giants desperately need at least two quality arms in the bullpen, *especially* if they are cheapskates with the rotation.

He’s already loved by fans, he’s likely to age extremely gracefully, he’s one of the most consistent relievers in recent memory, and this team has the wealthy ownership/big market to pay a premium for guys like Rogers.

  11. Genuinely hate that one of the highest attendance, biggest market, most valuable franchise acts like a poverty franchise

  12. This franchise is owned by fucking clowns. Imagine trading and picking up players for win now but not sign good pitchers to help us win now.

  13. Glad to see him succeed and get his bag. But it was better (for us Giants fans) when he was basically unknown by baseball media, opposing scouts and fanbases, seeing their batters and commentators initial reactions. I’d switch the MLB.tv feed to away for submarine Rogers &/or Crossfire Walker and they’d all be dumbfounded seeing and trying to explain their carney ass deliveries.
