We should organize a very loud protest outside of John Henry’s house, who’s in?

  1. Boston is no longer a city in pursuit of Major League Baseball titles. Fenway is an outdoor dive bar and concert venue. FSG wants an affordably run business model and all the real estate surrounding the park. A winning team is not the goal; an affordable, slightly above-average team is the goal. #EatTheRich

  2. The valuation doesn’t matter. It’s cash flow. Show it against revenue or as percentage of revenue

  3. Do you fucking numbskulls really believe cash flow isn’t accounted into a valuation? How else is the team appreciating in value? It’s not just goodwill value appreciating $2b.

They are printing cash and ownership isn’t spending.

  4. The value of the franchise and what John Henry and FSG are willing to spend on the roster are two mutually exclusive numbers. in order for JH and FSG to spend more on the roster, they either have to relinquish equity and spend it on the roster or pull money from their own war chest. The net revenue YTD of the Red Sox has not increased at the same rate as the value of the franchise.

All that being said a starting pitcher (Skubal) and a power hitting first baseman (Pete Alonso… (*sigh*)) are all that this team need to at least compete to be a Penant contender. And the fact that JH and FSG are give bullshit lowball offers to FAs like Alonso is infuriating. The team that makes a “reasonable offer” will come in third in this day and age of the free agent market.

  5. Capitalism in a nutshell. Billionaires get wealthier while the workers can’t keep up with inflation.

Yeah I know the “workers” are millionaires too lol

  6. You’re an idiot.

    Cash does not equal valuation.

See the stock market for a prime example

  7. The problem is that many fans, including those in this sub, root for Henry’s profit margin over having a better baseball team.

  8. I love the Sox a lot, but I think this level of protest is better directed at more meaningful causes.

  9. I have to ask this but are any of you Sox fans remember the late 80’s early 90’s? We are talking about not signing one players where there still tons of available players calm down for the love of(insert your deity here) start getting mad if they miss the playoffs but not now 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️. There’s tons of fist baseman out , hell even the Giants of Japanese pro league was let go (something so rare it was on NHK all week long) Also there’s Marte too so relax and enjoy, wait for February 14 when pitchers and catchers report for spring training. For now I’m happy watching the Pats,Celtics and Bruins doing their thing. Ps from a die hard living in the Bronx.

  10. Last time the fanbase put pressure on ownership they begrudgingly gave Devers an extension and almost let him walk…only to get off the deal later and looking like not replacing his salary

  11. good luck. im sure nothing will go wrong and he will change his stance on spending his money,. because once you give it to him its his and he has no obligation to spend it on this team.
