Houston Texans Get A Quadruple Dose Of Good News

The Houston Texans get a quadruple dose of good news right before this game against the Cardinals. If you’re new to the channel, we are Detroit Lions fans. But this channel fully dedicated to teams that get overlooked by the national media and the Texans are a perfect example of this. Just not only just in general, but especially this season, people kind of wrote them off. Then next thing you know, you guys are just on fire and things are lining up really well. First thing, good news number one, you get Harrison Bryant and Justin Watson back from IR. Now, are these two guys gonna lead you to a Super Bowl and and guys that you absolutely depend on? No. But the point is, like Justin Watson, for example, that you saw in the thumbnail, this guy was injured two weeks into the season, which is just like an eternity ago. And the point is you if you can get guys back, I I always argue that they’re fresh, right? Because they haven’t been in they haven’t been playing. Now, you could argue that they’re not fresh because they’ve been rehabing injuries. I get that. But the whole point is you’re getting guys back and you are generally healthy. Out of all the teams in the league, everybody’s got something. Little pockets of offensive line, secondaries out, whatever it is. In general though, great to see that you’re getting guys back at the perfect time of year. That’s good news number one. Good news number two is I don’t know if you’ve noticed this, but number one, you’re going against a lesser opponent must-win game. Let’s assume you get this victory. Then take a look at this. The matchups going into this game are absolutely perfect. As it stands right now, you’re in the playoffs. Check. Take check check. Oh, stuttered there. Take a look at this. Ravens Bengals. The the loser the outcome of this game. You love it. Either Ravens lose or Bengals lose. Bengals are still on the just very outside looking in. It’s like, okay, fine. They’re completely out. Or the Ravens. Here, let me pull up the um the AFC playoff picture so you can see it exactly. Okay. Yeah, here we go. Take a look at the AFC side. There are the Texans right there. If the Ravens lose, goodbye. If the Bengals lose, completely out. But you probably want the Ravens to lose. All right, awesome. Then go back. Let me go back here. Eagles, Raiders, that doesn’t matter. Here you guys are great. Chargers, Chiefs, same thing. If the Chiefs lose, they’re completely out. Chargers lose. So, I don’t want to go through every single game, but the whole point is this is good news that there are a lot of matchups that really help Bills Patriots. I think you want the Bills to lose here. Bump them out of that wild card a little bit more or get give some separation or give you some opportunity. There are the Bills right there. So, maybe the Chargers lose. Maybe the Bills could lose. Next one. Let’s just do one more that these just keep coming here. Jets. Jags. Now Jags are favored, but Jets could win this one. Out of all the underdog teams, I kind of like the Jets just because they’re not firing their coach. He’s trying to establish a culture. He It’s nothing easy. You know, one of those types of situations, right? It’s not like the situation where I don’t know. Yeah, I love I love that one. Panther Saints, Colts. Another one. Colts have a very difficult game against the Seahawks. That only helps you two. So that’s that’s good news. Number two is just the schedule lines up with teams playing each other. And that’s how it works down the stretch. The NFL is not stupid. They know it. So you have a great opportunity. It’s a must-win game, an absolute must-win game against a lesser opponent. Number three, you have an elite defense led by elite pass rushers going against Jacobe Brassette who is prone to turnovers. Like perfect, right? This is exactly why you got these guys. This is exactly what the formula is. Get pressure on quarterbacks and then hope they they cause turnovers. That that’s what that’s such a huge stat. Now, use the extreme example. you’re playing Tom Brady, you know, it’s just like he’s going to take care of the ball. He’s not going to make mistakes. No, you’re playing a guy that’s going to absolutely make mistakes. Good news number three, this is a great matchup for you. Great matchup in a must-win game when you have to take advantage of a struggling team. It just is what it is. And Arizona is not a team that you want to screw around with too much. Like there’s it’s very rare that you’re just going to blow them out of the water. They did get kind of blown out last week, but take care of business on them. should be no problem. Finally, um, good news. Good news number four. The Cardinals have a weak secondary and I think it would be really nice to get your offensive pass offense really going here. CJ Straoud up and down after that monster rookie year where you’re just like, “This is the greatest quarterback I think we’ve ever seen in our lives.” And then the next thing you know it’s like I don’t know what’s going on. It’s the offense the interior offensive line. It’s coming back. It’s coming back. It’s coming back. And so this dude just wouldn’t it be nice to just see him really explode. Nico Collins and they just have a field day. Well, there’s the opportunities. They go against the Cardinals team that’s just not there in the secondary. They they play this hybrid type of defense where everybody’s just kind of lingering around. It’s like, okay, there’s a reason people don’t do that. You know what I’m saying? There’s a reason people don’t do that. So, don’t don’t do that. And the Cardinals are going to continue to try to do that. It just doesn’t work. So, when the turnover battle, all those things, at the end of the day, just be nice. Not only get the win, maybe I’m getting selfish and greedy here, but or greedy, not selfish, just greedy that you go and find a way to just win and look good while doing it. That would just kind of feel a lot better than when you know how it’s just you win, but it’s like, geez, his offensive line or whatever, it doesn’t look good. No, let’s get the let’s get the air attack going. Let me do one more thing here. I’m going to pull up um just so we can see it and talk about it as we go. But the Houston Texans schedule, you have an opportunity to win the AFC South or get in the playoffs based on this schedule because Texans Cardinals, like let’s go. I mean, come on. You know what I mean? You’re a playoff team. You want you want to do things. You got to beat the Cardinals and the Raiders. Two of the worst teams in the league. Especially the Raiders. So, you win those two games based on what you what what I just showed you about all the teams playing each other and teams knocking each other down. You win those two, you will I mean almost 100% be number one in the AFC uh South home playoff game. Let’s go. And then Chargers Colts. I mean, you almost just need to win these two and I bet you’d be in the playoffs. And then you play the Chargers who would be battling out with you in that wildard spot because the Chargers Broncos that you know Broncos might be running away with that and it’ be Chargers in the in the wild card. So you have an opportunity there to go a headtohead on top of other teams playing and then Colts Texans. So it’s just matching up really well for you or or lining up really well for an opportunity to just have some have some fun. So again, you saw in the thumbnail you’re getting some guys back. I love that schedule’s matching up. Love the Texans. You know why? Because Demo Ryan’s um for a minute was like, “Oh, shoot. Is he Raheem Morris or whatever the the the Falcons coach?” Um you’re like, “Oh, no.” It’s like, “No.” Um Raheem Morris is terrible and that’s not who you have.
