KNICKS in TRADE Talks for Donte Divincenzo & Jose Alvarado? Can NY Add Both? | #Knicks Rumors

[Music] Hello and welcome into the NicksV verse. This is a special little video putting together here to discuss the latest rumors about uh Dante Denenzo and Jose Alvarado becoming possibly becoming available. Uh there may even have already been discussions. So we’re going to get into that. Uh and then tomorrow I will be doing a preview of the NBA Cup game and I’ll be going live for that. So stay tuned for that. If you’re watching this tomorrow morning, then know I’ll be on again. All right. Uh again, if this is your first time uh here into the Knicks verse, uh please join uh well join. Yes, for sure. But hit the uh thumbs up button for me. Subscribe. And if you’ve been here before and haven’t subscribed yet, uh please do so along with turning on the notification bell so you are alerted when I actually drop a new video or go live. And also uh hit the thumbs up button like I said and share the video. That’d be great. And definitely drop your comments. Want to hear your thoughts and feelings about anything next. Let’s go. Here we go. So right now, according to Mr. uh Chris Percianan, uh he is a reporter for uh Clutch Points. Uh he’s also on uh locked on Knicks as well. Uh he reported today uh the Knicks are showing interest in Dante Dementenzo. League sources tell Clutch Points that the Knicks have had exploratory discussions with two Western Conference teams about potential trades with New Or New Orleans guard Jose Alvarado and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Dante Debenzo at the center of various proposals. And in this article, he discussed that there actually have been proposals uh made back and forth between the Timberwolves and the Knicks. So that’s interesting. So the problem is, here’s the problem that I have. Honestly, it’s going to cost us a crucial piece of the current rotation to bring Dante back. It’s not going to be like Yabuselli and Tyler Koh and maybe Pakcom Dier gets us uh Dante. Uh one, I don’t think the money works and two, I don’t think the Timberwolves would be interested in that as well unless they put in some uh maybe uh the Washington pick uh which will convey into two second rounders because right now Washington is going to probably end up it’s it’s top eight protected for 2026. So, at this point, I mean, unless you’re talking about Mitch Deuce or Josh Hart, training Josh Hart for his former his former college mate seems bizarre. Uh, I don’t know if I would do that right now. Yes, Dante is a phenomenal three-point shooter. Uh, he’s having a very good season productive uh in terms of production right now. Uh, but still that is a lot to give up for a guy that uh, you know, you let go, you trade it away. And I’m not sure. I mean, the way that Deuce is shooting the three and even Josh Hart, the way he’s shooting the three, does does Dante improve you that much more that you’re willing to give up uh, players like that? Don’t know because the salaries have to match. That’s the main issue right there. So, at this point, as far as I’m concerned, unless the Timberwolves are gifting Dante back to us, I don’t see a deal in place for him. Uh even though in terms of uh three-point shooting, I mean, right now he’s in the top uh he’s number four in catch and shoot points per game. Dante is uh he is definitely uh he’s been he’s top one of the top three-point shooters in the game still. uh defensively, you know, he’s not, you know, not he’s not a defender on the level of uh Deuce McBride, that is for sure. Uh but we’re talking about like Yabuselli, Tyler Kolk, and Pakome Dier to try and mesh the salaries together. And I don’t even think that that is quite enough anyway. So, at this point, uh, I’m like leaning towards a no because if well, actually, if it’s those three can make it happen to bring him back, then I’m a yes. I’m a yes. If it’s those three, but if it costs anything more than that, I’m a no on this. But when you talk about uh the other guy that’s being rumored, Joseรฉ Alvarado, now that becomes a lot more interesting to me, a lot more interesting to me, I tell you. And one of the main reasons is because he is, first of all, he’s a New Yorker. He uh is scrappy as The guy uh he’s a he’s a very good defender, though his defense has dropped off in the past. Definitely this season uh it’s been a little bit of a decline from when he was really uh defending very very well which is uh two seasons ago uh it’s dropped off a little bit but he still is a beast defensively. Uh actually you can check this out uh Papa Left put a video together here of Jose Alvarado you know another small guard uh making defensive stops on Jiren Jackson Jr. who’s 6’10”, Austin Reeves who’s 6’5, Jackson Hayes 7 foot tall, LeBron James 6′ n, Anthony Davis 6’10. So he because there is this whole discussion is like, do we need another small guard? No, we need more size, we need wings. And look, I get all that for sure. uh if we had an option to get, you know, a wing like the level of a Trey Murphy for, you know, similar price that it would cost to get a Dante Denzo, I would go for that for sure. But this is not neither here nor there. This is different because if But then, you know, you only have so many pieces, you know, let’s put it this way. There’s Tyler Kohl, Pakum Darier, and Yabuselli. you know, uh, possibly Jordan Clarkson, possibly. Maybe you can put him in a deal, but not for this man. For this man, I think it would probably cost just Pakcom Dier and Tyler Kolk. Now, Tyler Koh, it’s coming around of late. He’s obviously a much better passer than uh uh than Alvarado. But at the same time, defense-wise, it’s not even comparison. Alvarado is three times the defender that Kolic is. Even though Kick has made some improvements, no way. I would pull the trigger on this any minute of the day. I would just do it. I if this if that would if trading Kle and Pakome Dier for uh Jose Alvarado and maybe a second round pick, I don’t know. It might be overspending, but his salary is at 5 million. Uh or was it four and a half mill? I think four and a half million and deuce or maybe 5 million around there. Like we’ve seen and I’ve seen actually people talking about this like you know Deuce is one of the most highest value contracts if not probably the most highest value contract right now for what the production you’re getting from him for the amount of money he’s getting paid. It’s phenomenal especially with his ability to deliver in the postseason which you’ve already seen. Well, this man would be much much in line with that. And yes, he’s small but he plays bigish. Uh he’s able to disrupt. Look at that. The way he just disrupts offenses. And you know what? This would give us that backup point guard. He, you know, we’d be replacing Kolic for a Josรฉ Alvarado. We replacing and and Jos Alvarado is shooting very decently from uh the three-point line right now. I think he’s at 38%. Uh I I don’t I mean, honestly, I don’t think we don’t lose anything. We just gain gain gain and we gain on the defensive end. Now, you’re not going to see You’re not going to see uh Brown go with showing Alvar playing Alvarado with Brunson at the same time. You’re not going to see that. So, you’re not going to have two tiny guards out there at the same time. We have seen Brown has gone with Kohic and Brunson at times, but that’s really mostly because of the injuries to Shamut and to Deuce is why we’re seeing that. Now, we do see Deuce with uh with Brunson, but that’s a different level. Deuce, you know, Deuce is an even better, in my opinion, an even better defender than Alvarado. Uh, and Deuce’s ability to spread the floor. It’s fabulous. Uh, but look at that. Look at the way I mean, he’s and I love the New Yorker story. I love the idea of him coming back to New York. There’s videos out on social media. He was being interviewed a couple weeks years ago uh when he came to play in the garden and he needed extra tickets for his family and friends and Josh Hart bought him the tickets. uh and he was just overwhelmed and he was like, “Look, I’m so happy. Look at this. Doing this in in the garden.” That’s the kind of passion and love we want to bring to this team, you know, and it’s already there. It’s already there. This would just further that vibe. I This is I’m exc I’m excited about this. This is a move I think it’s a no-brainer, honestly. uh it will limit our ability to make a move for a wing however uh or a big man because we’ll be putting trading away some assets that could be included in a package deal for that. Uh so that’s what we’re talking about here. So it’s either it’s not can they do both. Well that that is the question. Can they do both? And the answer is no. No, because to do both trades to trade both to bring both Alvarado and Dante to the Knicks, it’s going to have to cost you Abuelli, Kle, Pakome Dier, and possibly Mitch or Deuce McBride or a Josh Hart. And I just don’t like that right now. I don’t like that right now. Uh I don’t think it makes us a better team. I think it weaks weakens us overall to do both those moves. But if it’s to bring in just one of these two guys and if you can get Dante for that package of Yabuselli uh uh Pakar and Koh, would I do that over the Alvarado deal which would only c which we would still be able to hold on to Yabuselli? Yeah, I would do that. I would package those three together. I’m not even sure if it works actually uh trade-wise, but if it did work, I would do that. So, but it’s interesting. The rumors are swirling. I mean, they’re already the Timberwolves and Knicks are already talking, trying making offers, uh sending packages to each other. So, this is something that’s really in the works. I really just hope it doesn’t include Mitch Robinson. He He hasn’t been looking that great this season, but we know what he has done in the past and especially in the playoffs. When the game slows down, it gets down to a grind. He dominates. Dominates. He changes the tone, the the actual texture of the game when he is out there in the playoffs. We just need him healthy. And he has been healthy. I just hope by the conditioning hasn’t been thrown off by having to sit and all that jazz. But uh I he’s starting to come on of late, which I’m really really uh getting it’s it’s looking a little more promising of late. Uh let’s see how he plays in the NBA Cup. If he has a huge one, I I would love that. Uh especially against the Magic who are very physical. Uh we need someone like him for that. Uh it’s just man tough choices. Tough choices right now. Uh, I hope Leon makes the right one. I hope Leon makes the right choice. But it looks like the Knicks are in play to rein put reinforcements into this rotation, into this roster. And I’m liking that they’re exploring all of these options, okay? Because they should be absolutely should be exploring the options. And uh if uh this reporting is true, this thing could happen very soon. Actually, uh, somebody already, was it, uh, Big Nick Energy post tweeted out already that, uh, it’s like almost a done deal for Alvarado. So, we’ll see. We’ll see. We’ll keep we’ll keep an ear on it, an eye on it. And, uh, but tomorrow, the Knicks game one. Well, not game one, game one. Well, yeah. See, I’m already thinking the finals. I’m already thinking we’re we’re going to we’re going to beat the Magic. You can’t think like that. You got the Magic have already beat us twice. Uh yes, we won the last game. Uh you know, 106 101, but it wasn’t no 106 to 100. Was the game was really wasn’t even as close as that really in that fourth quarter. Knicks built a 16-point lead. They had a 12-point lead with with less than two minutes left in the game and Brown pulled the starters and then the bench, you know, they themselves and you know, so but the game wasn’t that close and I’m predicting the Knicks winning uh again tomorrow. Uh maybe even double digits this time. Uh because I don’t think Brown’s going to, you know, swap out. Uh unless it’s like a 30-point lead or something. We’ll see. But this is interesting. Alvarado would be nice. Dante would be fabulous. Uh it just depends on the price. And I’m not willing to part with uh any of the key players right now for this. Hard for Dante. If it was straight up, that’s a tough choice right now. the way Hart is rebounding and the way he’s shooting the three uh defensively uh they’re kind of well Hart has is better defending big bigger players. So uh Dante doesn’t have the strength to do that uh or the or the technique defensively. That’s that’s a one major positive. But in terms of defending the perimeter, Dante’s a much better defender of the perimeter than Hart is. Hart constantly makes mistakes out there. Uh but in terms of when you put Hart on like a a banker, uh Hart was Hart was even guarding Giannis in in games. You can’t do that with Dante. You don’t have the versatility to do that with Dante. And the way Hart’s shooting the three right now that then the the competitive advantage that Dante has in general usually isn’t there because Hart is connecting the three. Now, do I believe Hart’s going to keep shooting like this for for the rest of a year? Uh hey, I’d love it. I, you know, I don’t have the big greatest faith that he will, but if he does, fabulous. Uh, but in terms of it just, it doesn’t make sense right now to trade away any of those guys of that the higher tier guys like Deuce, Mitch, or Hart to bring back Dante right now. If it’s a pack a three team deal or something or we get something else back, I don’t know if those are more difficult to pull off. Uh, we shall see. But obviously the Knicks are interested in this and they are exploring this. Maybe maybe the Timberwolves will gift him to us. Maybe they will. Maybe they’ll take Yabu Koh and Pakier. We shall see. All right. Thank you so much for watching this. Again, my name is George. Please subscribe. Hit the thumbs up button for me. Drop your comments. I will be going live tomorrow for a pregame show. 1. For one the Knicks would not trade Yabuselle they need him he is a serviceable PF on a reasonable contract.

After looking into , the Knicks have a 2M dollar trade kicker plus they have PJ Tucker with a cap hold of 2M

    It would take
    Jordan Clarkson
    Pacome Dadiet
Tyler Koleck plus PJ Tucker and his cap hold contract to get this trade accomplished and make the money work.

And draft capital specifically that first round top 8 protected Washington Wizards pick

After completing the trade the Knicks could bring Dink Pate up to the main roster on a real contract.

  2. Dont trade Josh Hart. The guy plays his ass off every night. He will sit, start, play hurt, bleeding, he's a team player. And he is not that expensive. Plus you cant break up the pod! Those zoom meeting shows suck!

  3. I don't see the Knicks trading Josh Hart..I could see the Knicks moving Mitch, Dadier, Yabusele and Kolek. I think Huk can repalce Mitch except on the offensive boards. I don't think the knicks want to give Mitch a new contract.

  4. Kolek, Dadiet and Hukporti are unplayable in the playoffs
We need to figure out resigning Mitch or trade him too
OKC has zero FLAWS…. we have too many flawed guys…..small, slow, cant dribble, defend, or shoot free throws

  5. I completely agree with you, But, I honestly think we should keep what we have because we are getting better by the day and I don't want to break up the growing chemistry…..
