  1. IFFFFFFFFFFF they are willing to give us Glasnow, Sheehan and De Paula, how do you say no? No matter how much you love Skubal you have to be honest with yourself that if we are not going to do anything to improve this team from last years’ than running it back and praying you can finally win a division isn’t worth more than getting a good starter who gets hurt a lot, a good young talented pitcher under team control and a 20 year old OF prospect who is a top 15 in all of baseball prospect. I don’t know that LAD does it, but maybe especially if we send back Perez or Parker or something and eat the Glasnow 30m per for the next couple years.

  2. To this guy’s point: In a way, yes, the Dodgers’ payroll is not directly related to a Skubal trade… but indirectly it very much is.

It’s not just that the Dodgers draft and develop really well, but that they don’t need all of these guys at the big league level because of their payroll so they become more expendable.

(Full disclosure, I don’t have a problem with how the Dodgers operate within the system)

  3. I always thought Phillies made the most sense, they have the prospects to pull it off. With Wheeler getting older and health issues potentially in the air, Nola on a down year, Suarez potentially out seemed like Skubal would push them over the top. But I don’t know if they would part with any of their top 3 with Painter, Miller or Crawford
