Kraken vs. Mammoth | NHL Highlights | December 12, 2025

He is ready to go tonight. He’ll be paired
defensively with Ian Cole. And we are underway. First and three between the Mammoth and the
Seattle Kraken. That’ll be brought along as Everly will move it there for Ellie Tolvin.
Tolvin will intercept. Everly with it. Shoots and a stop and a cover by Carella. They got
more than enough skill to make you pay. Well, there’s never an off night in the NHL, right? You
can’t take any lightly. M with a shot and a stop by Philip Grubau and he used it there against
Philip Grubower and it’ll be brought out. Matty Baneer’s Michigan product for Alexiaak and that’s
steered away by Vamela. Purka trying to move it up the boards for Utah and Shawn Dery now back
to get it. They can’t get it out of the zone. Good keep at it the line by Josh Mahur. Sends it
down low. Utah trying to recover it. Baneers beats everybody to the puck for Seattle. In behind the
net and a sharp angle shot knocked away Carella on a bid by Ellie Tolvin but now brought out Newman.
He got up in by Hayton. Turn the other way. Dylan Gunther. Gunther moto to the front. Oh and robbed
was Baron Hayden. What a stop by Philip Rubo. Chance of the night so far off a beautiful
feed from Dylan Gunther to Yamamoto and Bar right back in. Keller with a head of Steve. He
shoots and grew with the save. Melka to the bench and here comes Keller out extra forward as it
comes across Jersey. Jersey shoots and a stop. interference. The call from Chris Schlanker.
The passing goes across and here’s Jersey holds it. But how about the work from the goalender
group comes out challenges that shot. Excellent work out of this Mammoth power play unit.
Dury back to the line. Wrist to the front. Loose in the crease. Oh, and he can’t buy it.
Denil boot right there looking for number one. And now McBain in behind the net. Mada trying to
move it out. Comes back in front. They swung away at it and it’s covered up maybe here from Ole Ma.
Tries to clear it off the leg of the official. And that’s a close call. Shawn Dery. He’ll send it
in behind the net. Now Dury was looking behind him to see what was coming late. See if he had
an option. brought right back to the front and a goal. Mason Marchman and he gets his third
of the season. It’s one- nothing Seattle with back-to back 22 goal seasons. Gets only his third
of the year. And Mason Marchman’s able to split the D and then a stopup move. been some pretty
good skill there, Nikki, elevating that in tight on the back end. Yeah, in tight. That’s that’s the
added emphasis on the words in tight. He lost the game against Minnesota earlier this week, but
prior to that had won four straight decisions. McBain will take it away. And now McBain behind
the net with a wrap around rebound. Oh, and just sent line by Blue. Oldfashioned blue collar work.
Look at Carone. He doesn’t give up on this play. Chases the his man down. Wins the puck. goes
straight to the net, ends up on the stick. Yeah, that was one of his best shifts, best of the
night. No doubt. Try to create opportunities here for the Mammoth who trail one- nothing. Comes
back out high. Stolen away. Here’s Nick Schmaltz and he’s in. Nick Schmaltz. He scores. Nick
Schmaltz. Silky up to the corner. Tied at one. responsible. And how about this? Defense
to offense. Nick Smaltz at the center ice position. Taking care of his own end first. And
what does it turn into? The allimportant tying goal for his team. What an effort from Schmaltz.
It’s the fake shot that gets Drew Bower a bite. He goes down and it’s a little change up flip
shot. top shelf as that puck goes on edge with perfect timing. Dery Cartier on him, but Dery
will skate it out. Here he comes. Shawn Dery with speed for Stenland. Stland with a rebound.
O’Brien set another shot. Go Tyler Yamamoto. Here comes the Ryan. There’s the stick contact, but there is contact before O’Brien from
their own player right there. Done. Right. Dun is there already, Nikki, before O’Brien
comes in. Yeah, it was Liam O’Brien’s momentum that took him towards Philip Rubau. Now, that
contact is made just outside of the crease. So, I I think that’s worth a challenge. I I think
it is too. Benefit of the doubt in the blue pay goes to the goalender otherwise to the player so
he can get across. I I I think it’s a certainly a worthwhile challenge here. What do you think
Nikki? I think because the contact of O’Brien onto Gubau’s pad and stick that adds a little
bit of indecision to this because it didn’t allow Gerbower to get back over. But nonetheless, here’s
the call. After coach’s challenge video review, the call is overturned. We have a but Utah in this
stretch of the hockey game’s done a a really good job of forcing pucks down low. Stellin to the
front. He can’t get a pass. Gubau Churnney. Alec Rupto amazing at what they do. This one knocked
away. Shot on and a stop. Roselli Tolvin kind of got lost in front of goalender Carell MLA here
too cuz it’s a bouncing puck. It gets by Dury. That’s why Dery couldn’t quite handle it. That
puck was bouncing. You see he tries to go down on a knee to corral it sharp. And now the other way.
Shane right drops it shot and Newman with a great a look that’s denied by Bela and now Purka trying
to poke away at it kept momentarily Utah working down the boards and around now JJ Purka in front
Schmaltz he’s there but he can’t get it past Rubau Stevenson works it to the front and they can’t
put it Oh, that’ll go off the iron. A shot. Whistles wide and it bounces over. Done and out.
Carell to second effort. Keeps that puck out. Brought right back in the veggie
chance up here at Delta Center tonight. Dun looking around side of the net.
Everly goes across and Papa left to right. Most recent stop done down
low to Everly across the sea already there to pull is out. Standing ovation at
Delta Center. Utah back to full strength. Marchman. All sorts of energy here
tonight at Delta Center. Shot on and they score. And Marchman’s
got his second of the night. and fourth of the season all season long.
Marchman doubles his goal tally. Goes from two to four on the season with his second of the
night. And right after the Mammoths miraculously kill off nearly two minutes down two men. Purka
and now Keller. Keller shoots you at the outside of the net. And now Keller’s going to go after
it. Kept at the line momentarily. Good keep. Surgen Schmaltz goes across. They score.
Dylan Gunther clutches. It comes three Utah Dylan Gunther that grows yet again. But watch
the play from Schmaltz. He’s going to sell the shot. He knows Gunther’s there. Draws the eyes
of the goalender before he moves it to Gunther. who gets his team yet another go-ahead goal. Jam
on. Good kick. Been stunned into the corner for Everly. Got knocked down by Sergachef. Ian Cole
behind the net. Chandler Stevenson is there. Taken away by Purka. He’ll get it out. Purka look to
the empty net. He scores. What an effort. Jurka and it’s 42 Utah. Wow, the penalty kill does their job as JJ
Purka waited anxiously in the penalty box and then he comes out and makes amends
with a tremendous second effort diving effort here to get the allimportant insurance
marker. Well, effort is the key word. Yeah, that’s uh that’s true. Grubower sprints to the
bench. taken away. Surga back in front. Schmaltz towards the net and Krauss will bury it. Austin
Krauss another empty net and the Utah Mammoth will hit the road with a couple of points in their
back pocket. Another assist for Nick Schmaltz. And what a night it has been for him. Doing everything he’s been asked to
do and more. Defensively responsible. Played all the way back. Under a minute
to go in the third period here tonight. Denied by Dery, but it goes to
Cartier in front and they score. Not over yet. Ben Meyers and it’s a 53 game to
their credit playing till the final buzzer and they get a fortunate bounce as this goes
off the leg of Shawn Dery and behind Dury and they’re able to whack one home here. It
will be too little too late. They are rising to their feet here tonight in downtown
Salt Lake City. Delta Center loving this one tonight. And that is it. And the
Utah Mammoth got a couple of points.
