The Life Of A Cleveland Browns Fan In 2025…

Okay, so believe it or not, the Cleveland Browns are in a terrible position right now. And I know as a Raiders fan, this video is uh coming at a bad time, but we don’t need to discuss that Shador Sanders game versus us. Okay, that just that didn’t happen. And instead, I want to look at what life is like as a Cleveland Brown fan because god damn, it is rough. So, in the before times, before Art Modell and the FireClan attacked, the Cleveland Browns were a very good organization with Paul Brown back in the day. They won a lot. They won a lot then with Bill Bellichic as he ended up getting a playoff victory for them in 1994. And Shirley was the coach there for decades to come, right? Well, he wasn’t actually. I actually lied about him being a successful coach there, but he was a coach for a damn minute. And the Browns were just a good solid franchise. They weren’t yet laughed at. But then when the Ravens stole their franchise basically and then made the Browns an expansion team, Tim Couch came. They had [ __ ] 50 different quarterbacks and were nothing but a can to kick around the yard for the rest of the NFL. But they finally finally got something to cheer for in 2018 after the Hugh Jackson massacre of 2017. He somehow stayed around in 2018, but they drafted quarterback Vaker Mayfield first overall. And finally, Browns fans had something to cheer for. And Baker Mayfield was pretty much everything they could have wanted. Was he Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen? Uh, no. But he still was very, very solid. He had a good rookie campaign, a better sophomore campaign, and by the time of 2021, January 10th, 2021 to be exact, the Cleveland Browns won a playoff game. They had a good team. It could have been better with Odell Beckham and other players such as Miles Garrett who have been amazing, but the Cleveland Browns absolutely dropped a nuke on the Pittsburgh Steelers, their best rival. 48 points on Big Ben, and they were primed to enter a new golden era of Browns football under their franchise quarterback Baker Mayfield, who almost beat the [ __ ] Chiefs. But that just never came. didn’t happen as 2021 was a horrible, horrible season for the Browns. I mean, this is not the same team that once dominated the NFL back in like the 50s. Remember, that’s the Ravens now. No, this is the expansion Cleveland Browns and bad [ __ ] just happens to them as Baker Mayfield took a massive hit on a pick himself, got injured, and they let the team down. But again, they were still going places. So yeah, 2021 was very disappointing. Nick Mullins and Case Keenum ended up playing quarterback for them. And entering 2022, the Browns made quite possibly, and I don’t speak in hyperbole when I say this again. So many people call this and that the worst or the best of all time, but no, they made the worst decision in NFL history. After encouraging Baker Mayfield to play through injury and throw his body out there on the line and do everything he could to sacrifice himself for the team, how did they reward their former first overall pick, who clearly still had talent, yes, wasn’t great in this new system, but still showed a ton of potential. And how did they reward him? They threw him to the [ __ ] curb and instead on the day of March 18th, 2022, the Cleveland Browns traded their 2022, 2023, and 2024 first round picks, a third rounder, and two fourths for Deshawn Watson. Oh my god. I mean, every time I say it out loud, it just gets [ __ ] worse. And I I I I cannot emphasize enough how terrible this was because now Baker Mayfield’s career was sent spiraling. He ended up getting back on his horse in Tampa Bay. But [ __ ] man. Meanwhile, the Browns were sitting here as already the laughing stock of the entire [ __ ] league. The one year they were even okay people started paying attention just because of the pure shock value. But now they had Deshun Watson who had an absolute mountain of sexual harassment allegations to get by. And the entire culture was just shot right there. And this wasn’t even like a surefire thing. Like if they were getting Patrick Mahomes, people would still be throwing [ __ ] at them because you just signed a rapist. But no, instead this was a dude with not only 24 civil lawsuits, but also hadn’t taken a snap in like 2 years by the time he finally took the field for the Browns. And again, that’s not even the worst part because they broke the way that contracts even work in the NFL themselves as they gave Deshawn a $230 million guarantee contract as well. I I don’t need to [ __ ] say anything else. Oh my goodness. So, if I were a Browns fan right now, if that weren’t enough to, you know, look into toasters and large bathtubs in my area, I mean, the 2022 season itself would do it in physical form for me because holy [ __ ] after Deshun Watson was suspended for 11 games, he came back in his first game with the Browns against the Houston Texans and looked [ __ ] terrible. He looked absolutely cooked as a player and this was just the beginning. I mean, this team was so beyond depressing, it was insane. But you could argue that over the final five games of the season, Deshun Watson was somewhat building something as it wasn’t all completely bleak. Again, their defense at this point was amazing. And to end the 2022 season, Deshun Watson’s Browns went seven and 10. And I they like they they unveiled this new [ __ ] logo which just sums up everything, bro. What the [ __ ] is this? So, okay, 2023, was this finally going to be the year where Deshun Watson got back into form? Well, it was reason to believe it. I mean, in week one, they demolished the Bengals 24-3. And okay, I’m starting to see the [ __ ] vision here. Deshun Watson with a year in Kevin Stfansky’s system. There’s something going on here. And in week three, they did it again. Another blowout win versus the Tennessee Titans. Deshaawn Watson came to save the day, completing 81% of his passes for near 300 yards and two touchdowns and then he got hurt. Yeah. Turns out when you sign a morally um ambiguous human being, the football gods are not a big fan of that. And well, who did they have next in line to start? Dorian Thompson [ __ ] Robinson and PJ Walker. I mean, what the [ __ ] guys? Are are you serious? Now, PJ Walker somehow managed to win a game versus the 49ers, but we don’t need to discuss that. And at least the Browns defense was able to keep Cleveland in somewhat contention while Deshun Watson healed as with Jim Schwarz now here. They were legitimately amazing. Again, Miles Garrett is like the best player on the planet right now and was still insane back then. But, okay, Deshawn Watson was going to come back, right? Things were going to get a little bit better. And Deshun Watson played a very solid game in week 10 versus the Baltimore Ravens. They won 33-31. And Deshun Watson was improving. He looked solid. He still wasn’t like primed Deshun Watson at all, but okay, finally. The Browns are going somewhere and he’s on IR now. He’s He’s out for the season. [ __ ] Well, that’ll be the year. And yeah, Cleveland looked absolutely uh cooked this season. Overall, Deshun Watson was still not great as he finished his year with an 84 passer rating, which is fine and slightly more touchdowns than picks, but then the savior came. Oh my god, finally Cleveland got a break as they got Joe Flacco. He spawned in out of nowhere and just for the first time since Baker Mayfield did that little punch after getting a first down to clinch the playoffs back in the day. The Browns had life because that’s what’s so sad about this [ __ ] team, man. Their fan base is great. And they ended the year winning four of their last five and clinched a playoff appearance versus the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. And Cleveland’s crowd was just loving it. This is what they deserve. They deserve good football and they made a playoff game and got to play against a young CJ Strad and the Houston Texans, too. So, this should be a fun game. Cleveland got [ __ ] smoked. Just demolished. Joe Flaco was not like terrible, but he definitely was not good. And CJ Strad just absolutely obliterated the best defense in the league. They allowed the fewest yards in the entire NFL and they got destroyed which meant that 2024 was all in on Deshaawn Watson. Now meanwhile in Buccaneers land, Baker Mayfield was absolutely popping off and surpassed 4,000 yards for the first time in his career and the Bucks made the playoffs too and were looking way better than Cleveland. So just, you know, re real great for Browns fans to see. Really appreciative of management for that one. And ladies and gentlemen, the 2024 season was one of the worst in the entirety of NFL history. Deshaawn Watson [ __ ] sucked. There was no other way to put it. They got blown out by the Cowboys on opening day and he was battling injuries all year. He was getting screamed at by all fans in the media and rightfully so. And remember, this is a $230 million quarterback. And his first game of the season, like I said, they got destroyed by Dallas and he had a 7.1 quarterback rating. 7.1 after a win versus the Jaguars. They lost five games in a row, including a loss to the worst team in football in the Raiders. And we shouldn’t have even won that game because of a [ __ ] penalty. But god damn it, man. I mean, this team was cooked. Deshawn Watson was not the guy. He needed to go ASAP. He was a locker room cancer by just being a predator in the flesh. But finally, justice came as again versus the Cincinnati Bengals. For another year in his time in Cleveland, Deshun Watson suffered a seasonending injury. He popped his Achilles and this is the end. It’s the end of his time as a starter for the Cleveland Browns, which is is positive as again he had a [ __ ] setback in his recovery time. So yeah, now he’s definitely [ __ ] gone. And I don’t even mean this to be a Deshaawn Watson video, but he’s just so tied to this team’s misery, it’s crazy. Now again, Deshun Watson was now out, which meant they needed another quarterback. And in comes another fun backup as we got Jameus Winston football to give Browns fans at least some life. But it was it was over. And it just made it all the more hard to watch because this defense was still pretty good. But they had nothing short of the worst quarterback play in the NFL. So it doesn’t even matter. It just doesn’t [ __ ] matter. You can’t win a game with Dorian Thompson Robinson, bro. You just can’t. So, okay, they finished 3 and4. Kevin Stfansky’s seat was getting a little warm. And by this point, the Cleveland Browns were back to being the worst team in the NFL. They lost Nick Chub, the franchise icon, suffered a season ending in potentially what looked like to be career-ending injury at the time, and there was little to look forward to in 2025 besides the draft. Because it looked like the Browns had a great shot at getting a quarterback. Many had them taking Shador Sanders or even trading up to get Cam Ward, but instead they decided to opt out of both of those guys and Travis Hunter too as they traded down and selected Mason Graham and really all things considered had a great draft. They had Carson Swissinger in the second round who looks great. Quincent Judkins, Harold Fannon, and then the quarterbacking [ __ ] takes place because in the third round of the draft, the Cleveland Browns selected Dylan Gabriel. One of the worst picks I’ve ever seen in my life. I am not even a big draft guy, but when I was watching the draft, I literally almost threw my [ __ ] at the [ __ ] monitor because there is no rational reason that they would take Dylan Gabriel and then they still took Shidor Sanders because meanwhile Shador was having a historic fall in the draft and they were able to take him in round five, which you know, I guess I can’t be mad at them for that, but like why didn’t you just [ __ ] switch the picks? I don’t get it, man. I really don’t. But, you know, the Shador pick, given the value, was an amazing pick, perhaps the best in the entire [ __ ] draft. And so far, Shadore looks at least competent enough to be able to finish the 2025 season. So, we’ll see where that goes. But surely the Browns have a good team again this year, right? And well, yeah, they have an amazing team there. In terms of entertainment, it it’s [ __ ] hilarious because they rolled out the year with Joe Flacco again. They started the season with Joe Flacco back. They got him from Indie and here he was. Joe Flaco to start the season was absolutely [ __ ] horrible. They rolled in with like six quarterbacks in week one, but eventually they chopped down the roster to where it was just Dylan Gabriel and Shador basically. And Dylan Gabriel was just I’ve never seen one man play more uninspired football than Dylan Gabriel. Whether it’s coaching or who [ __ ] knows what, I couldn’t tell you. But Dylan Gabriel just has a sense of lifelessness to him where every Browns game is going to involve zero passes attempted over 15 yards and a 10-point loss that was just guaranteed. And what was so sad and what has been so sad about this entire era of Browns football is that Miles Garrett and the Browns defense has legitimately been all-time great. Miles Garrett this season alone has became the first NFL player to record six consecutive 12 sack seasons and he’s just an absolute monster. He’s tied a record with 10 sacks in three games between weeks 8 and 11 and he is not stopping anytime soon. He just ate our [ __ ] lunch money. And all of this could have been easily avoided. I mean it’s the same question. It’s the lowest hanging fruit, but it really is just the worst mistake I’ve ever seen in NFL history. All they had to do was stick with Baker Mayfield. And it’s not even about the things he does on the field, which is infinitely better than Deshun Watson already, but it’s the swagger. It’s the charisma. It’s culture. That’s all the NFL is. Talent and culture. And the Cleveland Browns right now have potentially the worst culture in the NFL. So, I just I just want to say, Cleveland fans, I’m sorry. I’m sorry you have to go through this. I’m sorry you have to put up with this organization, but I feel you, man. I’m looking out for you. I feel your pain. You’re not alone. And, you know, man, I’m rooting for you guys, okay? Since the Deshaun Watson Baker Mayfield situation, the browns have had a looming sense of doom to them, leading them to the dark situation they’re in today. So in this video, I thought it’d be fun to go over everything that has gone horribly wrong for the Cleveland Browns, to lead them to the situation they’re in with Sheduer Sanders and Kevin Stefanski on the verge of getting fired, in the 2025 NFL season.
