3 Keys to a Win vs. Bengals Rematch | Baltimore Ravens Final Drive

[Music] The Ravens head to Cincinnati Sunday to face the Bengals for the second time with just one game between the matchups. And the Ravens will look to avenge their Thanksgiving loss and make a push to reclaim the AFC North. In the team’s first matchup, the Ravens defense held the Bengals offense without a touchdown in the first half and held star receiver Jamar Chase without a score. But quarterback Joe Burrow led two touchdown drives in the second and Chase ultimately finished with 110 yards. Ravens Swiss Army knife safety Kyle Hamilton talked about the team’s game plan for Chase in the rematch. We do match up sometimes in the slot. You know, they move him around so much and that’s part of the reason why they have success. You know, you never know where he’s going to be at and you know, you try to scheme your offense, scheme your defense up, whatever it may be, so your best players can shine and that’s what they do very well. um not even him, just all the weapons they have on offense. Um I think big part of stopping him is just knowing where he is and what they like to do in certain areas where he’s at. Um obviously Joe’s a heck of a quarterback and can get the ball wherever it needs to be and can make reads and not just force feeding Jamar but letting everybody else heat. Uh but yeah, I mean it’s a challenge that people have had a problem with for the past fifth year in the league, something like that. So, um, he’s a good player and they’re good offense, but, uh, you know, I think we have a scheme and I think effort a lot of the time, uh, makes up for mistakes just scheme wise. So, um, I think we definitely have that down pat. Just run to the ball, playing hard, that it it covers a lot of things up. On the other side of the ball, a point of emphasis will be protecting the football. The Ravens turn the ball over five times on Thanksgiving. Red zone inefficiency has also continued to plague the offense. The Ravens have been held to less than 30 points in six straight outings. And the team knows in shootout style games with the Bengals that they’ll need to capitalize on each trip to the red zone. It is interesting the backto back, you know, um I shouldn’t say back to back, but within two weeks uh within getting uh getting another opportunity at them, but um you’re going to look at what you had up for the first game, what they did. They’re going to look at us, what we did, what we did well, what they did well, how we combat that, and how we just execute better because we had every opportunity in that game. We were moving the football and we were backed up. Um, we just got to take care of the football and uh continue to strive, you know, being diligent and executed high level like like we are capable of doing. Turnover free. That’s number one. You know, protecting the ball, uh, putting a lot of points on the board cuz we didn’t do that either. We got unfortunately we had two didn’t happen but um two more you know on top of the 14 we had but it didn’t happen. So I’m looking forward to scoring more points this week. We’ve heard all week that the team’s mindset going into this weekend is that they control their own destiny and that starts Sunday at 1 p.m. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend and go Ravens. [Music]

The Ravens need to contain Ja’Marr Chase, eliminate turnovers, and capitalize in the red zone.

  1. IT will be freezing Monken run the ball . We can't have ten carries . Use all the backs. And the bengals rookie linebackers can't stop tightly ends , use kolar , likely, and Andrew's. DEFENSE, can we get any pressure on Burrow. And Double Chayce like every other team does . .
