30th in the league in faceoff win %
31st in shots per game
No player at 10 goals
Were on coach number 3 already

Ron, you've set this franchise back years. If not for some steller goaltending this team would be bottom of NHL and may yet get there this year

  1. Ron Francis failed at Carolina. They have been very successful since he left. So this shouldn’t be a surprise. He has continued to build this team around a core of expansion draft picks. These are guys essentially rejected by their former teams. That tells you something. Now they could all be quality depth players, but they shouldn’t be your core. Also, drafting hasn’t looked great so far. I still have hopes for the young guys, but they’ve still yet to reach quality NHL level. So something has to give. And I agree, it’s the guy who has assembled this hodgepodge of a group. Best hope now is to tank for Gavin McKenna and hope he brings Celebrini level talent and leadership.

  2. Honestly at this point he might be able to help them by getting out there on the PK. It can’t be much worse.

  3. This team is pretty unwatchable. They need high end talent. FAs like Marner probably didnt want to sign here. Can trade for some guy without a NTC and see them walk but idk if thats the solution long term.

    Time to tank.

  4. I think we need to accept that we’re getting the traditional expansion team experience. Meaning it’ll be at least a decade before we have shit to really get excited about in terms of championship level hockey. Our first actual generational talent is probably still getting dropped off at practice by his mom if he’s even been born yet.
