Mike Kafka Gives Final Updates Before Week 15 | New York Giants
Really the only change is um is Gunner elevated through the protocol. So he’ll get uh he’ll get some more work today. Good to go. Yeah, he’s he’s got to finish go through the protocol. So today Yeah, today’s the last I mean one of the steps one of the final steps of it. You expect Dan Roen then to be starting on in the game? Yeah. Yeah. How about Tib? So I guess he’s uh Tibido’s ruled out. Yeah, he’s out. He’s out. Yeah. killing. Uh we’re going to hold him out. He’s not going to kick today, so we’ll still keep him up and just see where it goes. Yeah, still got some time. That’s a TBG at at the moment. Yeah. Uh new and good just is that anything concerning? No, nothing concerning. No, he’s tough kid. Like, how valuable to you guys, not just this year, but I mean in general, has Andrew Thomas been? It just seems like he uh has that quality some athletes have where he makes everybody around him better. Yeah, absolutely. It’s a great way to describe him. Um he does that. He has that effect on people and um you know by his work ethic, by his play, by his production, how he handles himself in the building, how he handles himself around the players in the locker room. Just a true professional. Um you know, a guy that, you know, I personally lean on as as a coach because, you know, those guys, you surround yourself with those guys, those type of players on your team. Um like that’s the kind of guys you want. You guys claim uh Ryan Miller, what what do you like about him? Yeah, I think he has some special teams um ability. You know, we’ll see him run around today. It’ll be, you know, kind of the first time I’m getting to work with him. So, I’m excited to watch him roll go out there. You going to have made some roster moves. You got all those guys that are on the IR like return track and then like you anticipate a lot of moves in the next 24 hours. Um we’ll see. I think there there is there is a a few scenarios that we we’ve been talking through over the last couple days. So again, today is one of those days where after practice you kind of see where everyone’s at and then we’ll kind of start um you know putting that plan into attack. Jackson’s mentioned that uh he’s been happy with like not trying to force things. What do you see on the good things that he’s done so far this season? Yeah, I think I mean Jackson’s doing a great job just owning having ownership in the offense and understand what we’re trying to get done. Then obviously we try to always put our try to put our players in the best position to be successful, but have them also have their own touch on it, right? And have their fingerprint on the offense. It’s great when the players take ownership of that group. And Jackson’s one of those kind of lead guys in terms of the quarterback putting his own flare on, putting his own personality on those things. And um Jackson does a great job with that and and so do the other players as well. Where do you see that flare in ways that we don’t? Like when he’s in the beating room, I guess. What is where does that come out? Yeah, I mean I think just this it’s very subtle, but just even just subtle ball fakes, ball actions. Um the way they break the huddle, certain shifts in motions. We might have a certain vision of it and then we go out there and and then the players, they might talk and say, “Hey, let’s do a little bit this way.” And then we’re like, “That’s awesome. Let’s go go for it.” So, um, you know, just giving that that flexibility and let not letting, you know, putting our players in a box where they feel like they’re so constrained by rules, um, a lot of rules, I should say. Um, but, you know, and just letting our players have a have a little personality on the offense and defense and special teams and, um, let letting their best abilities go. Anything special you do to prepare for the possibility of a snow game? Um, nothing different. Just, you know, it’s it’s uh, you know, we’re out here in New York and New Jersey. It’s going to there’s going to be weather, there’s going to be wind, it’s going to be cold, it’s going to be snow. So, I think we know that. Um, you know, we’ve been playing football a long time, so nothing really different in terms of that. But I guess there are the only factors that could change if like wind and or it’s really really rainy or something like that. But snow games are have always been fun. You have a player coaching one? I have. Yeah, several. Several. And growing up in Chicago, it’s pretty much guaranteed you’re playing at one of them at some point your whole life. Um, coaching coaching several in Kansas City. Um the ones here I was up in the booth so I didn’t you know didn’t feel the elements. With uh Kavon seemed like there was some optimism that he’d be back by now. Did he have a setback or is the injury more serious than initially thought? No, there’s still a ton of optimism and you know you you watch him. You guys saw him kind of come out yesterday and do some drills. I think he’s fired up and ready um and you know preparing himself to get out there with the players. It’s just about you know when he feels comfortable when the doctors feel really good to clear him and get him out there.

More blah blah blah
I believe Kafka will not be making the circuit as a after dinner speaker this off season .
Where are all the Kafka fans now??? 😂😂😂
Be honest though… don't you miss Coach Daboll a little bit?
Cut Kayvon… bad player. Hasn't improved the team at all, under achiever. We don't need under achievers on this team.
luv u mike but u need to get fired and go work for a head coach that can show you what good look like. u have the right stuff but it needs repackaging. god speed
