DETROIT RED WINGS VS EDMONTON OILERS LIVE POST GAME | Woodward Wings
Is that an octopus in your pants or are you just happy to see me? You should see what I did there. Go Red Wings from Octopy Experts Woodward Sports. W I uh I mean, hey, it was bound to happen. You You were You already won the road trip. You’re going to have a nice day in Chicago tomorrow to just relax. Y I’m sure that some of the kids have never been there like you know ASP and um I don’t know I don’t know maybe just ASP probably just ASP think about it but so hopefully you know Kainer shows him around town maybe buys the boys a steak dinner or something imagine all right let’s start on a positive note imagine if Kane goes for a hattick and scores 500 goal in Chicago. That would be cinema and that would be like I I root for that. About seven power plays for that to happen. I I understand. But I root for that as as a just a hockey fan. Okay. And yeah, I mean everybody would want to see that. Yeah, I think that would be really cool. I do think he’s a lock to score. I mean, I definitely am going to bet on him to score um in that game because he always scores in Chicago. That’s just a fact. But Jason Pratt with a good one. Uh we’re gonna catch Chicago on a backtoback. So that is good. That is good. They’re playing in St. Louis tomorrow, he says. Uh but yeah, I mean boy. Yeah. What are your initial thoughts, Benny? Tonight, huh? What are your initial thoughts? I mean, Conor McDavid’s [ __ ] stupid. He’s just Mc Jesus for a reason, man. It’s ridiculous. He’s like, it’s whenever he’s on the ice, it’s his game. Unless you pressure he puts on opposing defenses like just as soon as the puck touches his stick is [ __ ] insane. He is so to be that fast and that quick while being that big. It just it shouldn’t be fair. Yeah, they call him Mc Jesus for a reason. He’s literally everything you want in a hockey player and more. Uh the backhand sauce pass to the back door. Hammond was just or Hyman was just [ __ ] stupid like Yeah. Oh, that’s a good one from Aljo has been rough past couple games and Yeah, he was I was just about to say that he was McDavid’s deacon cone tonight. Yeah. just wa doing whatever he wanted out there and and he was targeting him like McDavid’s a good LJ got him in the last time. Yeah. And he remembers that. He remembers Eljo Joe like getting him a couple times and beating him in in one-on-one opportunities and you don’t want [ __ ] to have a target on your back from a guy like Conor McDavid. Yeah. Oh, dude. So, yeah, dude. It it it sucks, but I mean, and then dude, at home shot, that was a 97 mph ripper that Talbet didn’t see. And that was also cuz Johansson, and we talked about this in the last episode. Yeah. He’s just standing there screaming Talvet when he should just be giving him the old cross check and getting in the backbone there. Yeah. the the little and that’s just textbook stuff and he’s just standing there like maybe it’s time Johansson he was doing it was gets a nice healthy scratch. I’m not going to lie like maybe it’s got to be JBD and Hamick on that last pair just to give Johansson or maybe Gusson but maybe Johansson just needs that mental reset because he’s not been playing well this road trip. No, he’s been bad and it was good to see Ed back out there. It was good to see him get the goal. Um, you love that. Uh, I thought, you know, the big three defensively were very good in the offensive zone. Cider and ASP and Edmonson were all taking chances and and going down and trying to get into scoring positions. So, you like to see that? But, um, yeah, man. I mean, there’s not much to take away from that one. [ __ ] I I I mean, I opportunities. Marco Casper A and Danielson and Soda. They looked good again. They were getting opportunities around the net. They were skating. You could tell like, oh, they’re the young guys because everybody else looked to step slow, but they were still out there zipping around. EMTT Finny had a couple nice opportunities, but you just didn’t you didn’t capitalize on opportunities. And when you leave pucks out of the net against [ __ ] Conor McDavid, like shit’s not going to end very well. Yeah. And excuse me, they were you were taking it to him there for a good part of that first and second period and then the Oilers made that change to put McDavid with Dry Cidle and it just stopped all the momentum that the Red Wings had because they were just getting overwhelmed and McDavid and Dryidle are so good that they can take on like like DMC always says those minute eaters dude like they can like it’s crazy that their first liners like that they can just eat those minutes all game and still be at that high motor that Conor McDavid and Dryside will play at. And I mean it definitely speaks to their greatness, no doubt, and their commitment to the game. But to to just go back to the the actual point of hand, the line that you’re talking about of Soderblum, Danielson, and Casper, Casper is playing with so much more confidence with those two. The that the trio there, the chemistry is so nice. they they’re getting such great opportunities. They just can’t capitalize. We talked about in the last episode like the chemistry is there. The chances are there, but they need to start scoring or like or they’re just, you know, their offense for nothing. And and they’re going to they’re going to they’re getting great A opportunities and it’s like Casper is going to heat up. He’s got to heat up, man. He’s got to heat up. I like there’s no way that he stays this cold all year. I I just don’t believe it. I like he he shows like even tonight like he had some great opportunities and just couldn’t capitalize on them. But I I like I believe like he’s still a very good player. Like he’s still a second liner in this league. And when when it’s all said and done, a very nice talent, 50point guy, like I still believe that’s in in his bag. He’s just he’s he’s still trying to figure out where where his style really fits in cuz he’s he’s got a lot of more skill than a lot of people realize, but he’s also a bigger dude. He’s got to, you know, find that nice mix that and also, you know, you see the guys this year, and I’m I’m going to get a little nerdy. I’m sorry. The the the Morgan Geekies of the of the NHL who just raise up that shooting percentage and then the goals just start falling. That that’s like Casper is a little gunshy. So maybe maybe it’s just it’s just the shooting. It’s he’s got to just put some more pucks on the net and hopefully that translates to them, you know, hitting the twine. I mean, you’re not going to score goals unless you shoot the puck. So I mean, yeah, Wayne Gretzky said it best. You miss 100% of the shots that you don’t take. The number one quote ever in hockey. Yeah. And he’s right. And and Marco Casper, you know, was a little gunshy, but there were opportunities to be made in this game. Unfortunately, they weren’t made. And that’s what’s going to happen when you’re playing a great team. If you don’t take advantage of your opportunities, you’re probably not going to win. And we got Dante 151 with a super chat. Says, “The Falcons helped the Panthers by beating the Buccaneers 29 to 28. Panthers are now in first place in a very garbage NFC South division.” Shout out. Come on, Spenny. That’s That’s my Hey, Duvall and Panthers Nation could unite. Keep pounding. Um, but yeah, I it’s Casper to GR for a timeout. Letter call. If you watch these games, like are you watching the games, man? You can’t send him to G. He’s He’s one of the best forwards on the team right now. Like, he is aggressive. He is getting to He put an absolute beautiful saucer pass to a wideopen side of the net, Nate Danielson, and he [ __ ] missed it. a point blank opportunity for a very easy and he just missed it. That’s not on Marco Casper. Don’t tell me Marco Casper has to get sent to GR because dudes are blowing wide open goals. Like he is putting pressure. He is playing aggressive and he is giving the Red Wings the most consistent scoring opportunities on the team outside of Dylan [ __ ] Lin. So don’t tell me he needs to get sent to GR. That’s not on him. And he did great the past four games. That line has been elite. They have been at the one of the best third lines that I’ve seen in this combination so far. So, you need to keep them going. Sending Casper to GR to break up that line right now would be the dumbest thing they could do. Absolutely. And because their chemistry is off the charts and they’re setting up such pretty plays and it’s the like the little things, too. It’s the It’s the bumps, the screens, like letting them find the open ice, the Caspers and Danielsons, and even Soderblum. Like Soderblum is is starting to create a little more getting more comfortable in space. He he had, you know, the nice patience with the shot in the first period. Like that’s the stuff that we weren’t seeing from him. And even on the broadcast, Osgood said he’s playing more physical, and I agree with him, especially today and and and on this road trip. So, I I do like that young line. I don’t think that breaking them up is at all a a possibility in Mlullen’s book. Uh Henrik Hungleberry says we should trade for someone like Nathan McKinnon. Yeah, I would I mean I mean that’d be great, but they’re the best team in the West, so I don’t think that they’re they’re selling. The best player in the league, dude. It’s crazy. Um but listen, it’s you know, you’re not going to win every game on a West Coast Canada trip. And you lost the backtoback to the Oilers. This isn’t time. It’s not time to blow up the lines. It’s not time to send Marco Casper to GR. It’s not time to We got to ship it out. Eyes of Plan’s dead. Lost the second day of a back-toback against the Edmonton Oilers on the fourth game of your road trip. Like it’s not the end of the world. Yeah, I I absolutely. And you have a very winnable game. I know the Blackhawks embarrassed you the last time out, but that’s a this is a different John Gibson. I’m assuming it will be Gibson on Saturday, especially with the rest. Um, Talbet, you know, you just got McDavid. It’s okay. It happens. He got the he got the Heyman special, dude. You got a hat of [ __ ] two two feet of goals. Like, yeah, seriously. And then I mean he there was nothing he could have done on that goal. Like seriously. Like so I don’t like nothing on Talbet. I thought he played a pretty solid game especially for the opportunities that the Oilers had a lot of agrade opportunities. You know we always talk about the slot shots and the high danger chances. That was what he was facing on a consistent basis tonight and I thought he stood pretty tall. I saw your boy ASP make a couple nice defensive plays when it when it came down to breakaways. He was one-on-one with a couple guys and and he made some good plays to save some opportunities uh for the Red Wings. So, I’d like to see that it’s small things in games like this that you have to take away with. And I thought ASP’s defensive work was pretty decent in this one. I also another just niche detail is he’s getting more comfortable moving elsewhere and being more of a free flowing defenseman. A lot more times I see him, you know, dropping down into that, you know, slot flank area trying to get passes and scoring areas to create chances for him or other guys. So that’s only going to continue to grow. So it’s going to be nice seeing him develop in that way down the road here. I really want to see him start skating the puck more. I mean, you saw it when we played Quinn Hughes uh the the other day. He had made that one play where he took the puck out of the zone, walked three guys, and you know, got a shot. You know, I’m not saying that that’s going to happen all the time, but you know, that’s the type of skill that he does have in his bag. You know, Quinn obviously is the best of the best, but you know, ASP is still going to be like, you know, no matter how good he is, a top level offensive defenseman. Like that is his bag. And we’re not not going to say he’s going to be Quinn Hughes, but you know, he’s going to be one of the, you know, top 10 best offensive defenseman in the league. And man, these old guys look really old on these backtobacks. Like it is they do, man. It is noticeable when when these guys are playing on back to backs. Like Kane didn’t look good. Confer didn’t look good. JVR didn’t even play. I mean, I hope he’s okay, but I assume it’s just, hey, you’re old, dude. But JVR is a second line center, Spenny. He’s a second line center. Listen, these old guys get exposed on these back to backs and the kids tried to carry you. EMTT Finny had a couple nice opportunities. Unfortunately, he couldn’t he couldn’t punch any of them in. Same with Danielson. Yeah. It’s stuff like that to where if you had some puck luck tonight, maybe you could have got a point out of this one because it could have easily been a three-3 game there in the third period. I really like us going into Chicago, though. I do, too. I can’t lie. They’re playing well. Like, there was a good part of this game. They They fell apart at the end. Like, they really did. They lost. They you could tell the legs kind of gave out on them. But with a day with with a travel day and then a day’s rest too, like I really like their chances in in Chicago, especially there. The Gibson is is a big factor. I I really like how what we’ve seen from him in these last couple games. Gives me confidence in him. I I I like Sean said, I I like that when he said he’s a he’s a veteran, you know, going on the road, all business or maybe it was DMAC, all business, you know, there’s nothing like to worry about. It’s just you and the game and the team and and sometimes that’s what you need. So, yeah, need a little reset and and he goes to the West Coast and he’s familiar out there and he likes being out there. So, maybe it helped him kind of get into more of a routine. But we’re going to need him to continue to play like he has his past two starts if we want to take care of business cuz like you said, you got Chicago and obviously they’ve been kind of fumbling a little bit. They had a big win the other night I was watching. But uh they’re dangerous, man. Obviously Bard is is getting hot. He’s starting to figure out like Yeah, I’m that guy. Really, really good. Yeah. He’s he’s proven that he’s, you know, he’s fighting for that, you know, team Canada roster spot. Yeah. And he’s fighting to like take the league like him him and Schaefer and Celbrini, like those are the guys that are going to be the faces of this league in the next [ __ ] five years. So, um, you see the progression. You see the just flatout disgusting stuff that he’s been doing over his past couple games just like like like McDavid [ __ ] to where he does it and you’re just like, “All right, well, what the [ __ ] I can’t even like I can’t be mad at Edmonson cuz he just got nutmeged on a backhand sauce pass by McDavid from behind the net.” Like, what the [ __ ] you supposed to do? You know, there’s not much you can do in that situation. That’s just Jesus being Jesus. And like he’s so damn good, man. We’re probably gonna see some not not McDavidian exactly, but we’re gonna see something from Bard where you’re just going to be like, well, all right. I mean, we got to go get that one back. So hopefully hopefully Gibson can stand on his head and make some make some big saves because that kid’s he’s a [ __ ] freak, dude. Yeah. Um I I don’t have I’m on my phone. So can you Did Edmonson not play a lot in the third? Uh let’s see. Look at this TOI because I’m curious because I don’t really I thought it was kind of switching around a little bit. Maybe I mean I can’t lie. I had some uh loom edibles so I I may be just a little zooted. But uh period three. Yeah. Didn’t play what? Time on ice. Undefined. It says time on ice. So I don’t know what that means. All right. So, I mean concerned about He said he had a hit, so he played at least a little bit. Um, concerned. I mean, I I guess why why not pull him? Concerned with who? Edmonson’s foot injury or I mean, sorry. Sorry. I don’t mean to speculate. Lower body injury. Am I concerned with that? No, I’m not concerned. He’s going to be fine. He played tonight. He looked good. He was up and Yeah, he went hard into the boards. bounced back up, kept playing after that. He’s a hockey player. He’s going to be banged up. He’ll be fine. Yeah, I agree. I think he’s definitely hopefully ready for Chicago. What? Zack Pzinski says a little. Man’s at 75 speed right now. He’s talking about you off the looms, bro. All right. I can’t lie. I drank one. I drank a Buzzing Max. Yeah. How are those, dude? They’re awesome. Yeah, I bet. I I got one in my fridge. It talks to me like a Green Goblin mask. Sorry. I’m like, “All right.” Yeah, maybe. I Yeah. Had I had to do it for the kid? I didn’t smoke at all tonight. Really? Yeah. Not didn’t even rip the pen once. Yeah. You You end up going back home. You depressed? No. I I did not go home to get it. But I normally come home, I’ll roll up a blunt. I’ll smoke it during intermissions and then hop on. But I just I didn’t I just sat on the couch and watched two games of hockey at the same time. Yeah. I honestly I I underestimated this this Buzzing Max. That’s 100 milligrams, dude. Yeah. I I Hey. Hey. It was a good time to do it cuz watching the wings was not a good fun time for me. Yeah, I probably should have too, but Zack Pzinski again in there said he saw the cartoon smoke behind McDavid when he was zooming on the ice. Is that true, Justin? Did you see the smoke come out of McDavid? I actually start seeing the like the lines of the players start going like in NHL like how like you see the puck tracer. Yeah, the tracer. It goes on and I start seeing the plays and it’s Yeah, that that’s that’s kind of what it looks like. And again, yeah, the Red Wings lose allegedly on Roblox in GTA. Allegedly on Roblox in GTA. Um, Red Wings lose this one. I mean, not much to talk about here. You got into you went into Edmonton second day of a backtoback and the best player in the world did best player in the world things. Lost and you had opportunities. Like I said, this you get a bounce here or there. Danielson doesn’t miss that puck. Finny gets a better move and it could have easily been three to three in that third period and then maybe you walk out of there with at least a point, but I’m not too mad. No, no, we talked about this yesterday. Thought we I think we both said that they were going to lose this game. Yeah. Kyle says, “I was told if the Wings traded for Hughes, the Wings would be cup contenders. Was I lied to you?” No. If they trade for Hughes, they’ll be cup contenders. Yes. that will happen. I don’t I don’t think a loss on a backto-back in Edmonton changes that, but I mean appreciate the Neil impression, but no. Yeah, they and use your if you go back to that Vancouver team two years ago, like my buddy’s a fan and like so I followed them closely. He was my roommate at that point. They are we doing right now? They were a game away from being in the conference finals and that their roster was made up very similar to this Red Wings roster. It’s not too far off to say if we got confused that we would be. Oh, okay. Never mind. Question to you both from Jason. Do you think McDavid wins a cup in Edmonton in the next two years or gets out after his contract? No, they they refuse to acquire a goalie. I don’t know why. Not win a cup with Skinner. No, we the sample size is there now. like you you know they’re not know. Yeah, it’s and every media outlet there is talking about any like goalie prospect that he could possibly pick up. Like they talk about Kosa literally like he is the most finest wine in the entire land. Just wait for Conor McDavid to come to the Reds. I mean that’d be amazing. I’ I’d jizz my pants. All right. Allegedly on Allegedly on Roblox. The PP alone would be deadly. Mo is all right. Come on. That you would have the same reaction. That’d be insane. Yeah. No, I would definitely uh definitely freak out. They’ll talk about Jarry, says Jason. Yeah. I mean, I’m not worried about Edmonton this year. I’m not I I It’s Colorado, dude. They’re [ __ ] wagging. Like what they’re doing is if they don’t win the cup this year, I would be surprised. Unless Florida immaculately just gets completely healthy for the playoffs and everybody’s back and firing on all cylinders, I think it’s Colorado’s cup to lose. Yeah, because they’re getting the goalending, too. And that’s the thing. And every team in the East kind of looks like they have a flaw. Yeah. So, I I think I’d agree with you. I don’t trust anybody in the East. No, because Carolina’s a choke machine. Like I said, unless Florida gets healthy and gets all their guys back for the playoffs. I I would be surprised if Colorado didn’t just cruise to the cup this year, honestly. Like maybe Vegas, but not even like I don’t know. They did have a nice Vegas just had a nice win. [ __ ] that piece of [ __ ] Mark Stone with the overtime winner. Ah, dude. Ah, Vegas is going to be tough, dude. Mhm. I hope they match up. I hope neither of them shits the bed and loses early and that can be the conference final. That be such a good series. That’d be absolutely amazing cuz that Vegas team has the perfect like mix of style right now with Marner in there with Eel. Yeah. And then McKinnon’s just playing out of his mind. But then there’s McDavid there too. See the West the West playoffs are just so elite. Yeah, the West is the West is insane. I mean, you’ve got the like the East because everybody’s kind of mid and with Florida having the injuries, they kind of took a step back. So, they’re like the East is wide open. And that’s when uh somebody was talking about here’s Zack. He says, “I would love to see Quinn in Detroit, but the pieces lost to acquire him would not put the Wings in Cup contention. in the east it would like if you get Quinn Hughes in this East you are automatically one of the three favorites like with because you’re not losing Cider and you’re keeping one of Edmonson or ASP in the deal so having Hughes Cider and Edmonson let’s say and then okay you give up a Marco Casper but you have an MBN to replace that like it’s not like you don’t the warp is ready to make make things happen and I think that if you added Quinn Hughes it would autom atically make you one of the favorites in the east cuz everybody’s kind of bunched up right now with Florida being being as injured as they are. And you see what the star power does like this is a stars league. You know that Oilers team is honestly the infrastructure is terrible. They are held up by McDavid and Drytle and Quinn Hughes is that type of game changer and like you know game plan breaker. That’s why you like if you can acquire him, you have to do it. Like those guys don’t come available. When is the last time like a true game changer came available in the trade trade market? It was rancid. But before that before that like it was unheard of. And it’s it’s unheard of now because everyone’s signing extensions. Like you just saw Capri sign for you know 16 mil. Yeah. Yeah, it’s tough. I mean, he’s he’s absolutely a game. And and Jason Prett says, “Our forch check and board play is our go-to for sure.” And yeah, that’s how they’ve been winning these games is with the forche and winning puck battles. And it’s coming with the young guys. Like you’re seeing Danielson and Casper and Soda and Finny and obviously Raymond and Larkin like to get their nose dirty as well. So, when your best players are doing it, it’s going to make the rest of the guys on the team kind of take that take that mantra and take that leadership and go in there and get their get their uh get their nose dirty a little bit too. and and when you bring uh MBN back up whenever you do that if maybe if JVR has to miss an extended amount of time maybe that’s that’s the time for MBN to get called back up and give him some some minutes in there and give him some ice time because he provides that as well and he provides that edge like I don’t know if he still is but he was top five on this team in hits up until like last week so it’s you buy into that man I would definitely love to see MBN up I hope JVR is fine and I hope it was just he’s old and he’s getting this back to back off so he can be like maybe they just send him to Chicago already and we’re like just go get comfortable. Rest those knees and and we’ll have you good to go. But um I didn’t see anything that he like tweaked in their game against uh uh what was it? Calgary. So I I didn’t see him take any like big hits or anything like that. So, I’m thinking maybe he was uh he was just given the given the night off because he’s old, honestly. Yeah, I I think that’s probably it. And and to go back to MBN for a second, I the slight issue right now though, even though he’s he’s ripping it up in the A, there’s nowhere to put it. I’d rather him, you know, rip up the A. You know, it’s just it’s the ASP thing. You know, ASP is up here because of need and unless you’re gonna, you know, put Finny down or you’re gonna put down, you know, so had a good game, too. Like, he had multiple scoring opportunities. I know he needs to bury one, but like his skating is gives him so many opportunities with No, it does for sure. And but that’s the thing like what are you going to put NBA on the fourth line with you know cop and JVR? No. No. So like you are not cougher and JVR even worse. No. You you might as well have him stay down there with ammo cuz he’s he’s he’s producing but it’s a lot of assists and you know with his heavy shot I would love to see some more goals. So maybe he he needs to go down there and and f, you know, a little longer and find find a scoring touch. Yeah, I agree. Um even though he would help us, but help us, but you’re right. You there’s nowhere to put him unless you’re playing him on the fourth line. Yeah. And Aman is a long game like or he dies. So he is he is he’s going to be the first guy. Like I said though, if JVR has to miss some time, then you could see something there. But cuz Burger Bergen’s not doing it for me. Yeah, Bergen sucks. We know that though. Yeah. I I I do want to get your opinion on of the, you know, interesting conversations I had today with a fellow podcast in the space, the Grind Line, uh podcast. So, um, do you think that the Vancouver Canucks would be interested in this great trade? Okay. All right. It is Marco Casper, JT Confer, William Walllander, a first round pick, top 10 protected, and another first round pick for who? Could Hughes? Come on. We get Phil Veronic for that maybe. Like, what are we talking about, dude? Quinn Hughes. He’s a top three defenseman in the league. You think you’re going to get Quinn Hughes for Wallander and JT Confer, dude? Waller generational prospect. Okay. Generational enough that he can’t get ice time over [ __ ] Hamick. Like, yeah. Must be real generational. He can’t crack this. Literally on the third line at [ __ ] JBD and Hamick. He’s on the third line in GR right now. [Music] I like again I mean if Steve Eman could pull that off I would kiss him on the mouth like there’s no there there would there they would laugh you off the phone if you said JT Comfort at all let alone JT Coner and Wallander. Yeah I think that and if you’re doing that it would 100% be Danielson and not Casper. If you made me like predict a fair package, it’s like it’s ASP Daniel or Casper and you know pick pick a Jason AB prospect plante b you know you know the drill and then two first round picks unprotected because it’s literally come out that they want unprotected two NHL birdie players center and a prospect like and that is out like that is out And the teams that you’re competing with are the Blackhawks and the Ducks as well as the Capitals and the Devils. Like people are like, “Oh, they don’t have the young talent or the Caps face.” Well, there are teams that do have it as well and it might not be worried about the extension right now who have, you know, a lot of talent. Like the Blackhawks could give up Naser and their first round pick from last year who’s a defenseman and a first round pick and that probably beats your deal. What are we doing here, guys? What are we doing here? Uh, but I’m going to get to the one because I know you’re going to get really pissed off about it, but Dr. Detroit says Vancouver has five right-handed shot defenseman. Yeah, and they all suck. So, like it’s Yeah. No, I I that they gave me the same argument. Tyler Myers is our second line right defenseman and he is literally not good ass. Yeah, he’s not good. So like he’s a pylon. He’s literally You’re not going to be like, “Hey, we’re we’re we’re good on ASP because we’ve got a bunch of bums.” Like no, they they would take you in a heartbeat. And then uh static seven, this is the one he says, “Put up Mo as a key piece and you do not have to give up so many prospects slash young key players.” So to keep to keep the prospects and young key players that we have a bevy of, we’re gonna give up a top 10 defenseman in the NHL. Um I No, I think that’s where we should end it, honestly. Yeah. And you’re not trading Mosider. No, he is like you have like literally you’re getting twin used to pair with Mosider. Yes. They have the best defensive pair in the league. Like you’re not giving up Moider. I mean, you already do have the best pair of the league technically. Technically, per pretty much every stat, you do have the best defensive pair in the league. Yes. And that’s honestly why we’re so good. Yep. So honestly not a superstar. Moider is playing like a superstar this year. He is. Yes. And like you can say he’s not you can say oh he’s not living up to go like watch him play. Look at what he does for this team. Look at the amount of minutes that he does for this team and then look up pretty much all of his stats compared to any other defenseman. You know, he is top three in the NHL in net rating for any not defenseman, not defenseman under the age of 27, not Germanborn players. He is top three in net rating in the NHL behind only Nate McKinnon and Kale Mar. It’s Nate McKinnon, Kale Mar, Moider. So like, stop the hate. Yeah, I was going to say like real puck knowowers like know how good Moiders season is and the advanced analytics back it up. He’s a 98% war. Yeah, he is playing like an absolute dog and is the physical catalyst of this game. Yeah, you need him. You need him. Hey, you’re not we’re not trading Mo and I would give up literally anybody in our farm system to keep Moider. So like he is that you don’t give up Moider to hold on to prospects. It’s not going to happen. It’s not going to happen. They’ve been lucky. So all right, dude. What are you talking about? What do you mean they’ve been lucky? They’ve been very unlucky. Kasper had a good game tonight. That pass to Nate wasn’t as easy as it looked at first because it was in his skates. Hamonic’s gap control was brutal on one and he just kept backing up into a guy that AJ already had. AJ can’t play with that plug. Another goal was on Mo who didn’t adjust his coverage back after him and Simon swapped.
Marco might be pulling a Tarastinko
