2 pieces holding back a Giannis trade šŸ€ #shorts

All signs point to Giannis having already played his last game as a Buck, but there’s still two things holding back a deal. Now, first off, Giannis doesn’t want to be the bad guy who demands a trade from the city he loves, but he shouldn’t have to. Milwaukee should be doing everything they can to move him regardless. Keep in mind, the Bucks were going nowhere even before the Dame trade blew up in their face. They’ve strung together three straight first round exits. They don’t control their own first rounder until 2031. Simply put, the roster can’t get any better than it is right now, and right now is ugly. The only path forward is rebuild, which means trading Giannis. Here’s the second problem, though. Usually, when a superstar is available, teams are chomping at the bit to get a deal done, but not this year. See, this would be a win now trade, but winning now might not be realistic this year. OKC is such a favorite that teams aren’t really willing to mortgage their future. It’s hard to blame them. Are the Knicks or Hawks really going to beat the Thunder if they add Giannis? Probably not, but there’s still two outcomes to make sense. First, we have San Antonio. A Giannis WBY combo competes with anyone, and they have the young stars and picks to make the deal work. Next is a nightmare for almost every single NBA fan, but it’s not impossible. Now, I don’t see OKC making this move because they’re on an all-time pace right now, but they do have the most attractive offer because of the draft capital. This would be their version of the Warriors heading to Rant. Look at what the starting five could look like. It’s tough to part ways with a franchise legend, but if I’m Milwaukee, I’m doing everything I can to get a deal done before the deadline to make sure we’re back in the lottery for one of the best drafts in decades. I’m Fred Mlith, and that’s my take.

  1. I don't want Giannis on the Spurs because it will mean breaking up our talented young core who are just building chemistry together and have just learned how to win. I love Giannis but I wanna see what the team can do before doing some all in move that guts our future.

  2. Shaq, Kobey, Lebrom, Curry, Bird, Magic, Kareem, Wilt, Duncan, Luka, Tatum, Russel, and KD have all lost an NBA finals, thats a group of the best players of all time right there, in no particular order, the only person to win 6 and never lose, was Jordan, so don’t think OKC is untouchable, there’s a possibility they don’t have the same fire after winning once, and then there’s injuries

  3. In order to have control of their destiny in the draft, Portland needs to be involved. The Blazers control 2029-2030 of the bucks draft. I don't see what the Spurs or Thunder have that the Blazers would want. If I'm the Blazers I'm holding on to those picks unless I get Giannis

  4. The thing with Giannis joining OKC, is that is mostly the same look JD got for joining the warriors. Seems a "weak move". Lot less šŸšŸšŸ but still not a good look.

  5. Any Knick thinking to pass on GIANNIS to keep Karl-Anthony town + yall core together is insane , yall will not beat Celtics or PHILLY .yall are delusional… Giannis vs Karl AnthonyTowns it isn’t even close you crackheads

  6. I’ve seen reports the spurs don’t wanna give up Harper or castle in any trades for Giannis, even the bulls are good when asked if they wanna trade for him. I don’t see it happening but this is JUST my opinion. No one wants to gamble with a team at the time of typing this that is 24-1.

  7. if okc gets giannis adam silver needs to step in. this would somehow be worse than the warriors getting kd. atlanta or new york need to trade for him so theres a legit team in the east to at least challenge okc and make it interesting bc right now everyone knows theyre just competing for 2nd place

  8. The hawks keeping Jalen and getting giannis makes them a co favorite in the east. Without the trade they're out in the 1st round. That might be enough for them.

  9. Outside of context, it’s a no brainer to have giannis instead of ihart + dort + hella money. HOWEVER, for this okc team specifically, I think it’s a terrible idea to make a trade like that and get giannis. I think right now they’re a better team without him. If you have a system that works reallllly well, only make very small changes, if any at all.

  10. Honestly even though Giannis is undoubtedly a top 3 player, I just don’t see any teams that are willing to trade for him unless it’s a good deal. The spurs wouldn’t try it because they already have a superstar and a solid core that haven’t seen their full potential yet. But I think most teams understand that OKC is too dominant to gamble against with a shallow team and few stars.

  11. Giannis to NYC is the best trade , you can see a lot of players yelling at Kat, Brunson and Gianni’s would be a amazing duo for the next 5 years at least, next years draft is better than this years so bucks tanking this year is a good plan
