Someone remind the Stars
Also, 75 days before the trade deadline is 12/21. That’s significant because you can only retain salary on a player’s contract if the contract is held at least 75 days.
So, in order to double retain salary ahead of the trade deadline, a player must be acquired with 50% retained before the roster freeze.
Seeing folks are complaining about the roster and what’s going on? Maybe we should have another post with our cap, UFA, and RFA info?
We are talking about spending imaginary money as well as who will and won’t move, but if we want to armchair GM? We should at least be looking at the numbers and what we actually could be getting out of it versus pipe dreams…
I know we are getting close to the point where we’re going to see rentals being shipped, and I don’t think we’re close enough to take on some of them, but I’m curious who is out there, what is out there, and if there really is any upgrade from where we are at with who we would be putting on the block…
