CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier/WKRC) – A big change is coming to Maketewah Country Club next year. For the first time in its 115-year history, it will be hosting a major pro golf tour event.

The LPGA’s Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G will move to Maketewah in 2026, marking the five-year-old event’s first time played within the city of Cincinnati. It was played the past two years at TPC River’s Bend in Warren County after calling Kenwood Country Club its home for the event’s first two years.

“It brings notoriety, and obviously that’s great,” Maketewah General Manager Mark Bechtel told Cincinnati Business Courier. “If it brings us more members, that’s great, too. It’s another great tournament to add to Maketewah’s history of hosting some very prestigious tournaments.”
