The Giannis Situation Just Got 10-Times Weirder
Players like Giannis almost never switch teams, but when they do, it changes everything. I’m talking top three player in his prime. This is not a cherrypicked list. Every time a no doubt top three guy changes teams, guaranteed championship. By the way, I didn’t put Luca on here. Question of whether he was no doubt top three at the time, but put him on here. Point is, Giannis would be on this list, but no one wants him. I know that sounds insane, but a team that everyone thought first was San Antonio. pair Giannis and Wimi to win now. But Jake Fischer reports, “Hey, you know all those fake trades you’re coming up with? Forget it. There has been little indication to date that the Spurs are willing now to consider parting with either Dylan Harper or Stfan Castle, even for Giannis.” What? We were thinking either Harper or Castle. Apparently, it’s neither. So, what about the Hawks? They’ve got one championship in 1958. Surely they want Giannis. Plus, Atlanta’s got one of the most valuable trade chips in the Pel’s 2026 first. But I have been told on more than one occasion since the season began quite strongly that the Hawks won’t consider trading that draft pick even for Giannis. But the craziest example that blows both of those teams out of the water, this guy named Lou Canelis is the main TV sports guy on Fox in Chicago. He is connected with Giannis because they teamed up together to open a Greek restaurant. Well, this guy says that Giannis’s people reached out to the Bulls and the Bulls were like, “Nah, we’re good with our young guys.” What? The Bulls? Now, that last one has gotten some push back, but nobody has actually confirmed that it’s not true. And this sports anchor wouldn’t randomly risk his entire reputation just to put out this false info. Like, he’s been a pro in the industry for 30 years, and he chooses now to ruin his reputation for no reason. No. So, this isn’t a John Marant or a LaMelo ball. Apparently, Giannis is on the verge of getting traded, but nobody’s that excited to get him. Why? But I’ve been playing prize picks all season, and yes, we have won a lot, but every single night, win or lose, I am having more fun watching these games, especially on some of these games, the NBA Cup has been going on, and we’ve had like 14 cup games on the same night. I’m locked in when I put in my picks like it’s the NBA Finals. I love how easy the app is to use. I just pick more or less on a few players stats and I’ve got my picks locked in like my picks for tonight. First up is Kevin Durant less on his assists and then Demar D Rozan plus Cam Johnson more on their points. And best of luck if you were tailing those picks. Prize picks now available in 45 states like Texas where I live or California. And if it’s your first time signing up, nothing helps out the channel more than using promo code AM hoops. When you do that, if you play just five bucks, you get 50 bucks in lineups instantly, win or lose. That is code AM hoops. Well, there are four main reasons. And the first is injuries. So, dude’s got that calf strain that everyone thought was an Achilles at first. And since 2022, Giannis has missed nine playoff games and was injured for many more. Reason number two, his commitment. Will Giannis resign wherever he goes? Remember, he told Milwaukee, “I want to be a New York Knick.” Was that for their big market to stay in the East? We don’t know. And if you trade for Giannis, he is guaranteed the rest of this year and next year. That’s it. You could be trading a ton and he bounces next off season. And even if he commits, can you trust his word at this point, great guy, but one day saying he wants to be a Buck, the next day he’s asking the Bucks to call up the Knicks. Side note, did you see this latest Chris Haynes update on Giannis? Weirdest thing I’ve ever heard. the most Giannis can’t make up my mind thing of all time. This is what’s going on with Giannis right now. Sources have relayed to me that Jiannis Antakmpo addressed some of his teammates um recently to stress the importance of focusing on basketball and to not and not to allow outside distractions to interfere with the process at hand. What? How can you even call that an update? My favorite reaction was his teammates like, “Hey, Giannis, are you requesting a trade?” Ah, you shouldn’t worry about that noise. Okay, but are you I said to focus on basketball, but a lot of teams are stacking cap space for 2027 to lure Giannis in free agency. Those teams include the Lakers, the Heat, the Clippers. And I’m sorry, but if Giannis wants to be in a glamour market in the East, easily could jump to the Heat or maybe wants to team up with Luca in LA, it’s a risk. But honestly, if he wants to be a Nick, the whole thing’s done. All he has to say is, “I won’t resign anywhere but New York.” Then the only way he goes elsewhere is if someone takes a Raptors level risk. Like they got Kawhi in 2019. Zero guarantees he would resign. Now, it was worth the gamble, but very risky. Now, the third reason that most teams, weirdly, don’t want to go allin for Giannis is a shift in NBA culture we have never seen before. So, in the past, the team that got the superstar in a trade almost always won the trade. If you follow the NBA for a while, you know that’s true. Some examples are like Pal Gasol when he went to the Lakers, Shaq from LA to Miami, KG, even James Harden. But at some point, sellers flipped the script. They started to see how far they could push the envelope in a trade. I mean, look at some of these past trades. The most you used to get is like two first round picks, maybe a good young player. Then all of a sudden sellers were getting like five, six, eight first round picks. The worst example is the Clippers and Paul George gave control of eight first plus Shay Gilis Alexander. Or the Suns gave up Mikuel Bridges Cam Johnson and control of five first. Why would they do that? Because of the old adage, if you get the star, you win the trade. But at some point, that old rule stopped working. Now we’re in a different era. For the first time, we are seeing buyers afraid to get the Star. They see how terrible it can go. If you’re like the Clippers or the Suns who now have zero future if the Star didn’t work. No one wants to be the Suns or the Clippers right now. Yeah, the Suns having a nice little season, bro. Dylan Brooks is their second best player. They don’t have a pick till 2032. So, right now, we’ve got those two giant red flags in our face. Like, hey, if you swing and miss, it is basketball hell. Are you sure you want to risk that? But the fourth reason is OKC. If you’ve got ammo, do you want to shoot it now or wait for the Thunder to show cracks, injuries, second apron, whatever? Like, why go for Giannis with very little shot at beating OKC right now? Teams on pace for 73 wins. It’s like the Warriors in 2017. They were so dominant that a ton of teams just stopped trying. Oh, they were building, but for the future when Golden State fell off. Like if you remember the Paul George trade, the Clips went all in to get him and Kawhi Leonard in 2019. The exact moment that KD left for Brooklyn, Klay got injured. Once the dynasty was weak, then they pushed in their chips. Not before. It’s like paying top dollar for a house in the hottest market in America. You are competing with everyone. The price is crazy. But the smart buyers wait for the market to cool off. And right now, the thunder ain’t cooling off anytime soon. So that’s why the best Giannis fits aren’t going allin, but it could also open up other teams. Like one franchise everyone’s missing, Houston Rockets, the exact team that did keep competing in the Warriors era. Daryl my just kept surrounding James Harden with talent trying to break through. Now it never happened, but different front office, same mentality. Well, it turns out they have a pretty clean trade here for Milwaukee. What about the Rockets getting Giannis and Alex Antakmpo for Alpurn Shenun Fred Van Vleet and two elite picks? Now here you’d think Houston picks Alpia to trade over Amin Thompson. Of course the dream scenario is keeping both Alpamin and dealing Reed Shepard instead, but this is more realistic. Now Shingun is looking like a perennial all-star and still just 23 years old. But Giannis and KD on the floor together, a perfect fit. They also have athletic amen shooters like Dorian Fenny Smith, youth, Jabari Smith, Tari E. This instantly would make them at least number two in the west over Denver. But it also opens up other teams like the Warriors maybe or the Lakers or the Heat. But as of now, none of the top teams want to go allin, which we’ve never seen before. But everyone is buying Chris Paul’s narrative right now. So, I put out this video showing how CP3 is controlling the media to make himself look good in this Clippers breakup. Now, all the comments completely disagree with me. They hate this video. So, please check it out and tell me what you think.

The Giannis rumors continue but now it appears none of the obvious teams for the Greek Freak are all that excited to get him. This is a look at why so many franchises aren’t going all-in for the 2-time MVP and what it means for his future.

that okc pg trade inflated the trade market
Gambling ads are the scummiest thing to put in your videos. No shame and zero integrity.
Such a bad moment for a trade that big
Would be better during summer, franchises get more cap
They're not trading any of the starting 8 for yanis Houston has a culture of keeping guys that ride hard for them
I mean realistically, if the Bucks move, they’ll give him to the Knicks unless another team makes a big enough offer to be worth it. Of those teams who would likely be willing to, the Spurs would have to give Harper or Castle, Bryant, and picks, the Hawks would have to give up both that pick and Jalen Johnson and it’s Johnson that Atlanta 100% says no to, that pretty much just leaves Portland. The Blazers have expiring contracts, young guys like Scoot or Shaedon, but most importantly they have multiple of the Bucks’ picks. Miami or Golden State could make offers but neither would be too much better than just sending Giannis to the Knicks. Houston could try but it’s not like they’ll give up Amen or Sengun and otherwise, they’re sacking all of their depth.
After he saw Luka become LA LUKAers… he said thet he want to see nba Europen Super Star play in BIG MARKET TEAM
So is There any big market team that Dare enough & have good enough package for this guy trade ???
Just stay in EASYern confrence
One of the other reasons I think nobody is jumping is because what do you give? And who gives it? I just don’t see anything close to a trade that might shake up as somewhat even. Somebody will have to get fleeced which isn’t impossible but I just don’t see it.
Watching people overreact to december basketball is always fascinating to me. During regular season there is only so much scouting and gameplanning you can do for an opponent, in the playoffs its going to be different basketball just like it is every year. Giannis is the type of player that you can't exactly scheme out of the game and I think teams like the Spurs may regret not adding him if their intent is to win now in the near future. Teams who have young players gaining trade value have hard decisions to make sometimes
Promoting gambling is sad when you know there’s kids watching this that never gambled
Teams want him, just teams that cant afford him.
Siakam, Mathurin and two protected first round picks
Spurs can still put together the best package with fox, Barnes , Kelly and picks
"Alpy?" Lame. You must be a rockets fan, he's more like the character Hans Klopec from "The Burbs," (Dante, 1989), than an "Alpy."
Gambling ads = dislike
Promoting gambling for one’s own interests while probably destroying other people’s life’s should probably get you expelled from society to the death camps disliked for the ppl
Hi Casey, can you make a video about Pat Spencer? Lacrosse legend to NBA Starter
OKC reset the playbook. Go young, not top heavy with character issues. You have to start at younger than OKC itself.
Gambling ruins lives!
Stop complaining and win with Bucks, prove you good.
Why? Because Jokic, OKC and probably Wemby nullifies him… He isn't even a top 5 player at the moment.
5:13 ahh yes my favorite Laker Lamal Odom
If KD was 28-30 and Giannis was like 25-27 then I would agree to trading Sengun. But right now, absolutely not
Giannis changes a whole franchise. He’s been used to the bucks giving him what he wants. He’s had multiple coaches fired. I think these other franchises that have been building their core young guys don’t want to make that kind of commitment
He just cost to much for a guy that is all ways headed to the bench. To Much and would not dump top picks on top of that. No way.
I like how you guys stand on your principles against gambling even if a great channel like this one is announcing it.
Keep doing it
As a Houstonian, bump any trade of Giannis to the Rockets.
Also, get rid of the gambling ads.
Bucks taking amen or no trade you trippin why would they want sengun im cool on that
Teams like nuggets, rockets or even lakers are one superstar short of competing against okc with real chances in the playoffs. Any other team doesn't stand a chance even with Giannis so if someone must pull the trigger now it should be one of those three.
Giannis+ 3d wing for packet of chips from lakers
only nico harrison and giannis himself would want a trade like that lol. Sengun looks like a 1B to a championship team pretty soon. wtf?
30th Giannis video this year
Hawks need someone like Giannis. They looked like high schoolers getting bullied by Jalen Duren last night.
Jesus loves you and may God bless you
Nice hair
