Obviously the gap is really small, but Mike asked this question on Islanders Anxiety a couple weeks ago, at this point, is this season a disappointment if we don’t make the playoffs?

I remember all the “simmer down” fools in the beginning of the season buzz killing every hype thread about how exciting this team plays. Now the team is really getting to know each other and fully look unstoppable.

This actually made me mad and also hit up a former Situationship. I can’t believe how excited I am for us to win. I’m actually really convinced that we could win at all this year.
It’s been a pleasant surprise, whatever we do, the future is bright
Got out outshot 17-1 in the 2nd. They obviously aren’t very good. Being a borderline playoff team is every team in the east.
We have yet to experience the yearly January of doom and despair
Just enjoy it. Don’t need to trade/sell, don’t need to pay up to resign Shaf. Darche has all the leverage with Pag and Lee. Hopefully they take a pay cut and stay. Enough guys will be around to bring the other 2025 1sts into the fold. Roy’s system works. Christmas wish…they lower the beers $5 at ubs.
Metro is about 3 games away from anybody taking the top 3
The last time the Islanders were in first place after 33 games was 1987-88. LGI!!!
We’re also a bad week away from being out of the playoffs too. I’m delighted with how we’re playing, found some cheap tickets and was at the game tonight. I am having a great time this season, but I also won’t be surprised if we end up out of the playoffs. The Met is insanely tight, and I’m concerned about injuries. I’m just enjoying the ride, and hope the fans and the players are enjoying it too
