I purchased a “1970s signed ball” off of eBay and trying to figure out who all is on it. I’ve determined so far that it has to be 1970 and have IDed so far:

Al Oliver

Bruce Dal Canto

Fred Cambria

Joe Gibson

Johnny Jeter

Willie Stargell

Danny Murtaugh

Dock Ellis

Manny Sanguillen

Ed Acosta

John Lamb

Bob Veale

But I still have four left, so any help from my fellow suffering fans would be great!

  3. #2 could be George Kopacz; #3 could be Don Leppert. Kopacz only appeared in ten games, all in September.

  5. Since It has Ed Acosta (who debuted Sept 7, 1970), George Kopacz (who only played 10 games for the Pirates starting Sept 14), and Joe Gibbon (who was released in Oct 1970).
    That specific combo means this ball could only have been signed between September 14 and October 1, 1970.
    That means it was probably from when the Buccos clinched the NL East for the first time!
