Sidney Crosby, Penguins, after blowing 5-1 lead

explain this one. I mean, how do you really? I don’t think you can really. Is there anything you can point to a moment or something that just felt like it was getting away? No, I mean, you know, we obviously had that uh they went five on three. They get some momentum and, you know, they’re going to push, but you know, we just got to be better with, you know, with our goalie pull. We got to got to close our games. I mean, there’s lots of ways to do that, but yeah, we just uh we got to be better there. S, is there any common thread to what lacked defensively in the third period? Yeah. Uh, no. I think that, you know, even the first two, they’re, you know, they’re a team that’s looking for offense. So, you you’ve got to be careful. So, it’s a fine line between, you know, trying to create plays, but also making sure that we’re aware defensively. And for the most part, we were we were pretty good there. But, I think, you know, we got into some penalty trouble and then they got some momentum and then, you know, we got to get we got to get those uh, you know, when the goalies pulled, we got to get, you know, close those games. Four game losing streak here. Um, do you tie all four of them together? Is this one unique compared to the others? just what’s mood in that respect. I guess I would just say, you know, three of the four we felt like, you know, did everything but get two points. So, um, you know, that’s the that’s the unfortunate part of it, but we got a game tomorrow. So, we got to we got to move by it. Yesterday, after the trade, Kyle said he thinks this team can actually do much better than it has already this season. I assume you feel the same way. Um just what’s it feel like to have Kyle give you guys kind of an endorsement that you know there’s much better that’s possible here I guess. Yeah I mean we’ve you know we’ve proved it at different points. So you know we got to find a way to you know to be consistent but uh I I agree with that. I think that you know we’ve done a lot of good things here in the first 30 games. So just you know we’ve got to find ways to close those games. Thank you. Appreciate that.

  1. Same crap as the last few seasons. Unbe f’n lievable.

Letting Sullivan go was the right move, but it sure is starting to look like stuff like this is just firmly entrenched within a lot of the players in that locker room.

If development is the main focus of this season, there is no need keeping such players around.

  2. My goodness. I cant think of another team that so wildly swings on quality night to night. This season has been much better, but its losses like this that can shatter even the best team's confidence.

  3. this game was lost when dewer and karlson took stupid penalties which let the sharks back into the game . on the rust missed empty netter , he QUIT skating and may have been able to score on the rebound and rust didnt make a play on the guy who scored the O.T. winner ! silovs needs DFA'd asap ! blowing a 4 goal lead in the 3rd period is something only a shit team does , sorry sid but this team is pathetic !

  4. At this point I would play Murashov and try to trade Silovs or Skinner for any and all defensive help they can get. If Letang is gonna be out there, he needs to be on the ice with a guys who will risk his life to make a play, so that Letangs "efforts" can be compensated for.

  5. Look at how calm he is.. I want him more angry.. he always is Mr professional and that’s fine but he should be blaming himself .. “we got to be better” fuck that.. I blame Muse for not deleting the block shots.. but mainly I blame Sid. This is on him. He’s not a leader when it comes to emotion. He just leads by example and for three years now he’s been leading the softest team in professional sports. I love Sid, but it’s time he has to go and the rest of the old pieces of shit too.
