Heat offense NEEDS more Tyler Herro & Bam Adebayo pick-and-roll

  1. Agree with this and was saying it yesterday watching the game. The game of basketball has always been about creating mismatches and disadvantages for the offense. The 1v1/5 out would be easier if we had 6’6 & above scorers, but the reality is our best scorers are 6’4 and below, so getting them open for efficient shots or getting them 1v1 on a mismatch would be the best bet for maximizing their talents IMO.

With that being said, 5 out/ 1v1 ball, works when the 3 is dropping and it hasn’t been dropping the way it was early on. I personally think we shouldn’t completely go away from pick and rolls here and there. Bam and Ware are elite athletes that you have to respect when rolling to the rim

  2. The Offense that worked at the beginning of the season can still work, Spo just has change his rotations. Its fine if he wants Powell and Herro together but then take Wiggins out of the starting line up and Start Ware. Then in the second you unit play Jovic, JJJ and Wiggins. The Ware and Bam line up will get better defensively but it helps with rebounding and weak side crashing when Powel or Herro drives is way more effective with two bigs. This would keep the Defense honest. Having size with JJJ will make it harder for them to put centers on JJJ, so having Jovic with Bam or Ware will allow JJJ to have a match up he can exploit. The issue is just Spo.
