Where the lineup stands as of now. I wish Steve could just go all out and give Kyle Tucker a 3-4 year deal with a high AAV

  1. Good chance Polanco may DH if they get a first baseman.. Keep in mind he only played there once. He’s a second baseman and a DH. This is probably a piece of a puzzle that has not been put together yet.. To be continued…..

  2. Gib we have a far better lineup than you guys. 1-5 way better. You lost like 50% production. Yeah cant walk each time watch the league pitch around them now. I am a fan of the game, a Yankees fan yeah, but seeing DumboCohen spend on SooTo and NOT Polar Bear who was a TRUE Queens Schmutz is sad to see. Like i said we’re not 100% either but facts are facts.

  3. Looking up Polanco’s 2025 stats and it’s basically just a switch-hitting Nimmo.

Polanco was batting cleanup this past postseason as well.

    Probably should bat higher.

  4. It will be. Watch you guys aka The atlanta falcons of baseball aka chokers collapse again.

  5. pathetic mad no playoffs 🤣 uh 🙄 about right when describing the worst team in queens 🤴 lol 😂

  6. If they keep thoracic outlet surgery McNeil it will be as a super sub not a starter. Or that’s at least how it should be.

  7. Vientos/Mcneil…..THAT is where the lineup falls off a STEEP cliff. Vientos or Polanco is NOT real or enough protection for Soto…..you have to have 1 big guy (Pete) OR two guys who are offensive threats behind him. I can live with Baty 7th Alvarez 8th Taylor 9th.

  8. Let’s see what the boy genius of a GM has up his sleeve. Right now I don’t feel good about the upcoming season. But things can change.

  9. Vientos, mcneil, acuna, and mauricio will probably be gone so stop worrying about what a lineup looks like on dec 13th. Jesus

  10. If our expectations remain the same as they do now, we’re gonna go on a 2024 run. LFGM!

Soto and Lindor have been in worse lineups. We do need some power though, banking a lot on the younger guys to finally show up… Gotta believe!

  11. My only concern is that Soto’s gonna be even more lost in LF than he is in RF. Weirdly, I’m really more excited to see what this bench looks like: Benge, Williams, Marte, Clifford, Mauricio, Acuna, or someone else they trade for, maybe Double T isn’t gonna be the primary CF guy

  12. What the fuck is the front office doing? This is the most bizarre offseason I’ve ever seen.

  13. I could tell you right now that Vientos and Mcneil I’m not gonna be part of the Mets next year, so why do you have this lineup up? I have in the slightest clue. I will bet you that Mcneil and Vans will not be part of this team.

  14. Its just weird to trade nimmo and sign a 20 million dollar player with the same exact numbers out of position

  15. Respectfully, the only way the Mets “steal” Tucker away from the Dodgers is by offering a long-term deal. That’s it.

There have already been reports that the Dodgers explored shorter-term offers—three to four years—very similar to what you’re suggesting. If Tucker won’t take that kind of deal from the Dodgers, there’s no logical reason he would take it from the Mets.

The only scenario in which the Mets land him is by going long—seven or eight years, or more. And like it or not, that puts the Dodgers in the driver’s seat.

It’s not that I wouldn’t want the Mets to pursue him, but the reality is the Dodgers can offer the same short-term structure, reportedly with deferred payments, while also offering a proven winning environment.

  16. I’m done if we go into the season with Tyrone Taylor as our starting CF and vientos as our DH

  17. This is not a finished product. Also none of these top free agents are taking 4 years.. I think this lineup looks a lot better with Bellinger in it

  18. Sensing another injury ridden season, old players + our young guys are made of glass

  19. Is Torrens a free agent? If we care about run prevention, he’s the better choice. He’s a good small ball hitter as well.

  20. If this is truly the starting roster then soto has to bat leadoff so he gets at least 1 actual at bat a game

  21. Semien is valuable as a 7 hitter and I think that’s where he ends up, our biggest issue last year was that 6-9 was a virtual black hole
