Well, well, well. The Dallas Cowboys are getting ready to play the Minnesota Vikings. And I won’t say that there is drama, but there is a little bit of drama. And I think the Cowboys have made a decision on Trayvon Diggs because they want to avoid the drama. This is a very heavy decision for the Cowboys, but in the grand scheme of things, I think it is the right decision for both the Cowboys and Trayvon Diggs. We’re going to talk about that and we’re going to talk about this big game. And this game is way bigger than anything with Trayvon Diggs. But we’re going to talk about that, too. Let’s talk Cowboys. I was shocked when the Cowboys started talking about Trayvon Diggs even getting back on the field. I was shocked. And so today guys, we got a great great great great show. Today what we’re going to be talking about, I didn’t even bother to do the headings today, but today we’re going to be talking about Trayvon Diggs. We’re going to listen to Jerry Jones. We’re going to listen to a guy from Minnesota for 105.3 to fan. So, there’s been a dramatic change here and Y really affected that change. The most important ingredient was when we signed Dak to made him the highest paid player in the NFL. Jerry, sticking on that defensive side of the ball, you talked about some new guys being out there and we saw Kaylin Carson obviously was banged up and wasn’t able to suit up. We saw Rell get a little banged up. Uh where where are we at on the Trayvon Diggs returning back to this team? Okay, he’ll be on the field. could have been on the wanted to be on the field last night, but he’ll be on the field as uh at Detroit in my view. The barn out exception. Uh I got news for us Cowboy fans. I got news for us Cowboy fans. Everybody’s always saying that Jerry is playing around with the personnel. I say it too from time to time. You want to know what’s crazy? Jerry Jones wanted Trayvon Diggs. You could hear it in his voice. He wanted Trayvon Diggs to play. Jerry Jones just by what he was saying, cuz I said that week, Jerry shouldn’t have broke this. Brian should have broke it. And I noticed that when Brian talked about it, he didn’t seem as enthusiastic as Jerry. Can y’all hear the enthusiasm in Jerry’s voice? Up. We saw Rall get a little banged up. Uh where where are we at on the Trayvon Digs returning back to this team? Okay, he’ll be on the field. Could have been on the wanted to be on. He said he will be on the field. He will be on the field on the field last night, but he’ll be on the field as uh at Detroit in my view the in my view. So as we think about Logan Wilson and Kenneth Murray Jr. When we think about things like Jonathan Mingo, Jaden Blue, the Jaylen Tolbert decision, any of the personnel decisions that we’re seeing on the field, it might be time for us to stop questioning and blaming Jerry Jones for the things or the personnel on the field because this for me, this sounds this sounds like a Brian Shottenheimimer Mattie Baflu’s decision. Now, let me take you back a little bit further. Let me take you back a little bit further. Something I said the other day. We may have to rethink this thing with Matt Ebofloose. We may really have to rethink this thing with Matt Ebloose. I brought this possibility up and no one is wanting to acknowledge it. What if Brian Shottenheimr wanted Matty Belfflu? What if Brian Shottenheimimer wanted Mattluse? Yeah, Jerry hired him. But what if it was Shotti’s idea? Because this is the same revelation we got from Mike McCarthy in his last season or I think it was his last season. Mike McCarthy revealed to everyone that he has say so in the personnel from the drafting process to free agents, all of that. Uh, we might need to start rethinking some of the things that we’ve been saying about Jerry Jones this season. These decisions that we are watching on the field for the Cowboys, those things seem to be coming directly from the coaching staff. Because if you’re listening to Jerry Jones, and I said this two weeks ago, I said Jerry shouldn’t have broke this. But Jerry broke this. Jerry was not Jerry not only broke this, Cowboy fans, Jerry was excited. Jerry was excited. Jerry said he’s gonna be on the field. In my mind, that’s what Jerry said. Only for us to come two weeks later and two weeks in a row, you can tell that when the media brings up Trayvon Diggs. Anybody ever notice how serious Shottenheimer gets? And I even thought the other day when they asked him about the shot timer question, how he kind of deflected. Oh, this doesn’t just go for Digs. This goes for everybody. I got news for you. He’s getting the Jaden Blue treatment. Yeah. Yeah. I’m rolling with Shotty till the wheels fall off. I’m just telling you whether I agree or not, Trayvon Diggs is getting the Jaden Blue treatment. Mhm. We heard Trayvon Diggs last night. And I want to give you just a little bit of Trayvon Diggs because I said it yesterday. The Trayvon Diggs conversation was it was incredible to me. It was incredible to me. And Trayvon Diggs was really laying it out there. Trayvon Diggs was telling us everything we needed to know. Trayvon Diggs was telling us, “Uh, guys, I’m ready.” And that’s why I said yesterday, I said, “Be this is a lot of kind of goggly goop stuff that the Cowboys are talking about.” But I know what they’re talking about. How many times did I tell y’all the thing with Diggs, it’s not his performance. It’s not his It’s not his performance on the field. It’s not I’ve been saying this. It is not his performance on the field as much as many of us think if he gets out there he’ll get his dreads burn off. I I know a lot of us say, “Oh, he gonna get burned if he gets out there anyway. I said it before and I’m going to say it again. Digs don’t fit the locker room. Digs don’t fit the locker room. See, we think it’s Jerry who don’t want all the back talking out there in the court of public opinion. I got news for us. It’s Brian Shottenheimimer who don’t want all that back and forth talking out there in the court of public opinion. Brian Shottenheimimer don’t want that mess, man. We’ve been living with Jerry for 30 years. Jerry’s been This stuff ain’t new to Jerry. This ain’t Jerry ain’t new to this. Jerry is true to this. Jerry don’t mind a little talking out there in the quarter. He don’t mind a little talking cuz Jerry would capitalize on that little bit of talking. But you know who don’t want that talking? It’s Brian Shenimer. I I think we’re going to have to really reassess a lot of the things that we have been saying about this team and Jerry Jones. This is a Brian Shottenheimimer decision. Brian Shottenheimimer and Matt Iluse. And I said this yesterday and I even put it in the video I did. Did y’all notice how in sync when they asked Brian and then when they asked Evafloose? Their answers were almost in sync what they said about Trayvon Diggs. Matt said, “Well, I don’t know. I don’t want to speak for Brian, but let me tell you what I think he’s saying.” And then he persisted to tell us exactly what Brian Shottenheimer said verbatim coming in. When he comes in the building, when he leaves the building, when he comes to meetings, when he comes to walkthroughs, when he goes to practice, they all said the same thing. Jerry wants Diggs to play. And for whatever reason, whether or not he thinks he’s be he he could be he could help us on the field. Jerry, a part of Jerry probably thinks that. But I also think a part of Jerry I think a part of Jerry is saying, “Man, we paying this dude all this money. We need him on the field.” There are a plethora of reasons why I believe Jerry wants him on the field. But at the end of the day, Brian Shanham, Matt, Evil Floose, they said no. Star Guardian X. This is a Brian Shot timer move. Appreciate that super chat. So, so, so I want us to really just rewind for a moment. So all of these decisions or the majority of these decisions that we thought were Jerry messing up, it’s been Brian Shottenheimimer calling shots. My man Rich Lloyd, what up? He said, “I’d love to see you preach. Maybe the Lord will allow that, man. I’m right over there in Lancaster, Texas, my brother. People are reporting that uh uh things have soured between the Cowboys and Diggs, the front office and Diggs. Duh. Who didn’t know this? Man, I said this at the beginning of the season. It didn’t just sour. It’s been sour. It’s been sour. This ain’t new. It’s been sour. The issue is we’re acting like it’s new. It’s not new. I’ve been saying this. I was shocked when Jerry announced that he might be coming back. I was shocked. But the coaching staff, I believe, has spoken. And I’m going to tell you who else I thought has spoken. Y’all better stop thinking that Dak Prescott don’t have some power on this team. Y’all better stop thinking that Dak Prescott don’t have some power on this team. I want you to hear what I believe was the turning point of this interview with Trayvon Diggs. I’m going to let you hear the turning point. The point to where I believe the Cowboys said heck to the no, he will not touch the field. Because watch this. If they are saying that you have to do everything right when you come into the building, when you’re in the film room, when you’re when you’re in the walkthroughs, when you’re in the practice, which it seems like you’ve been practicing good. The problem seems to be the film room and the walkthroughs. Ooh, but I got another one for you. You know the other one that people are not thinking about? when you get in front of the cameras. Y’all do know that’s a part of this, right? Have y’all not noticed? I’ve noticed the phenomenon this season. Everybody who gets in front of the cameras for the Cowboys, have have y’all ever noticed they’re all singing the same song? Digital Underground. All around the Cowboys, the same song. They’re all singing the same song except for one birdie and his name is Trayvon Diggs. He has not been singing the same song, y’all. Trayvon Diggs has been very outspoken as it applies to the Cowboys. And I’m gonna show you. I’m gonna show you where I believe that the Cowboys listening to this interview because you know they listen to it. It was this point in the interview that I believe they changed that they said Diggs is not playing. All right, let me see. See if I can identify it without listening to it. There was a turning point in this interview that I thought was banana bunkers. Oh yeah. Just last few weeks just helping you get through it. Just flowing how it’s supposed to. Now I want y’all to think about what I told you last night and even in the video I did on this. The interviewer that’s about to come up after John Mashoda, this dude did something that is very conniving. He asked Dak Prescott, I mean not Dak Prescott, he asked Trayvon Digs, he said, “Hey Trayvon, in this ordeal that you’ve been going through, what players on the team have helped you get through this?” Now watch this. They’ve already interviewed Rain Dakota Prescott. Ray Dakota Prescott has already gave his two cents on what he told Trayvon Diggs. But Trayvon Diggs when they ask him the question, it’s not only the answer that he gives to the question, but then the guy is so conniving he comes back and says, “Hold on a second.” But the answer you just gave don’t match what Dak Prescott said. Y’all ready? Listen to this. momentum is going really well. Uh, yeah. Who have been some of the guys in your corner the most over the course of the last few weeks just helping you get through? Now, now y’all heard what he did. This is a wicked nasty question. Hey, who’s some of the guys who are some of the guys who’ve helped you, you know, in what you’ve been going through? Who are some of the guys that will help you through this? He knows full well the answer is Dak Prescott, but he wants to see if Trayvon Diggs answer matches Dak Prescott. This is a wicked, nasty, conniving question. Um so they ask you what player has helped you through what you’ve been going through and you say your mom. But then the interviewer, he comes back and do him real dirty. Watch how dirty he does him. Look, she’s good. I was talking to Zach about it. What? What? This interviewer, I don’t know who he is, but this dude did this dude Trayvon Diggs wicked, nasty, dirty. I felt like this was the turning point in that interview. Diggs was already saying, “I’m ready. I know what I can do.” Ask them why I’m not playing. But when you ask him what teammate and he basically said his mom. He just gave you the answer. I’m a lone ranger. What else did they say? It’s not just the fact that he’s got to practice good, but how does he how does he fit in with everyone else? This is what they were saying. And when I hear him say, “Nobody help me through none of this. So, how do you think they feel like he would play with the other 10 guys on the field? This was a wicked nasty question because he asked Trayvon Diggs and he already knew the answer. He wanted to see if Trayvon Diggs was going to give the same answer as Dak Prescott and Trayvon Diggs said, “My mom.” Then he flips back around and says, “Well, you know, Dak Prescott told us what you want to talk about a setup.” Now watch the answer he gives when he gives the answer about Dak Prescott. Watch this. Said you and him are discussing. He’s been kind of optimistic. Watch his face change. Watch his I’m just telling you. I’m not telling you I am a body language reading expert. But as he starts to ask him about Dak Prescott, look at his face facial expression change and no other question in this interview does his facial expression change like this. Keep listening. Help me through what? What turning point? I thought this was the turning point in the whole interview. Turning point. Help me with what? Cuz I just told you nobody helped me but my mom. And you were talking to Dak Prescott and he said he helped me with what? You don’t think he heard what he said? Keep listening. Just working your way back. Oh yeah. Just Yeah. Oh yeah. So, so, so if what Dak Prescott said to him really hit him in an encouraging way, do you not think that he would have mentioned it? But I’m going to show you something that I picked up on after I slept on this last night. I’m going to let you hear exactly what Dak Prescott said. And when I really, man, when you really hear what Dak Prescott said, it’s going to blow your mind. But but just just listen to the rest of this. Keep working. Um just going through the process, you know, trusting the process. Going through the process and you know, when it’s time make plays. At what point did you feel healthy enough to like you trust your how long? Last week, his whole demeanor changed with that Dak Prescott question. I’m going to tell you something. I’mma tell you I’m going to tell you something. I’m not telling you I agree or disagree. I understand what they’re doing. I’m not going to tell you I agree or disagree. I’m just going to tell you that Diggs think they’re doing him dirty. Diggs thinks the Cowboys are doing him dirty. And not only does he think they’re doing him dirty, I think he believes the other day an opportunity that Dak Prescott is being a little disingenuous. And the reason why I this hit me that he thinks Dak is disingenuous because this reporter full well knew what Dak said that he has said to Trayvon Diggs. Trayvon Diggs doesn’t even bring up what Dak Prescott said. And then when he says what he said, he says, “Well, help me with what?” That is telling you he don’t think Dak Prescott helped him. And the reason why I don’t think he believes that Dak Prescott is helping him, and I’m putting myself in the shoes of Trayvon Diggs for one moment, if I don’t like what the coaches are saying, you think I want to hear Dak Prescott tell me this? Listen to this. Let’s let’s find what he said. Listen to this. to connect that way. What the coaches are thinking, this is this last week and then didn’t seen Trayvon and his playmaking. Now watch this. You’re going to see Dak Prescott do something similar to Trayvon Diggs. When they bring up Trayvon Diggs, look at the look on his face as he begins to give that answer. Listen how he answers it. Best in his career. Have you assumed any role in interacting with him as he endures this IR stint and tries to to get back on the field and overcome whatever it is that’s keeping him off? Yeah, me and Diggs actually we talk a good bit um usually just in the locker room and um yeah, I would say my role has come in is more of just um being optimistic, being the the motivator in that sense, right? No, no, no. Now, now my question becomes my question becomes, how much has Dak Prescott really talked to Trayvon Diggs? My question becomes, how much has he talked to Trayvon Diggs? Because Diggs didn’t even acknowledge this. How many times has he talked to him? Or is it a recent talking to? Is it a recent talking to? And I’m I’m I’m pretty sure this is why Diggs isn’t acknowledging it, but it’s the last part of Dak Prescott answer. Man, as I was getting ready to go to sleep last night, I said, “Wait a minute. I see why Diggs didn’t see this. I I don’t think he sees this the same way as Dak Prescott.” Listen to the next part of his sense. knowing what he’s been going through and knowing how much he wants to play and right thinking that he may have, you know, been caught up or gotten back last week and then didn’t. Um, right and for whatever the reasons, just being able to talk through him, being a sounding board, and honestly giving him real honest feedback, you know, and I just, that part right there, that part right there, what is the honest feedback that he’s giving Trayvon Diggs? Cuz I don’t know about you, but if somebody gives me what they call honest feedback, but I don’t think they have my best interest at mine at heart, I don’t call that honest feedback. I don’t I don’t even value that opinion because if I don’t think you have my best interest in mind, I don’t value that. But this next part is even more telling of what Dak Prescott said and I said, “Wait a minute. Wait a minute. I can see why Diggs don’t see this the same way. Listen to this part of what he wants to hear, but you know, this is probably what the coach Did you notice? We said honest feedback may not be up or gotten back last week and then didn’t. Um, right. And for whatever the reasons, just being able to talk to him, being a sounding board and honestly giving him real honest feedback, you know, and not just of what he wants to hear, but you know, not just what he wants to hear. Does Trayvon Dig strike you as the person that wants to hear what he doesn’t want to hear? Does he strike you as that type of person? Because Trayvon Diggs, I I’m just telling you, I can understand where he is because you can tell by his answer, he believes that everybody in that organization is against him. The mommy answer told us everything we needed to know. He thinks the whole organization is against him. And then when Dak Prescott says this and then he says this part, this is probably what the coaches are thinking. This is what you’ve presented. This is what you’ve given him. And do do y’all think that Trayvon Diggs wanted to hear this? Y’all do know that Trayvon Diggs has told us in his own words that he doesn’t agree with the coaching staff. But Dak Prescott in his encouraging words to him, he starts trying to tell Trayvon Diggs where the coaches are coming from. Really, I’m just telling you, I’m just putting myself in Trayvon Diggs shoes for a moment. and I’m putting myself in a in a mode of okay if I thought the whole organization was against me and then the leader of the team comes and starts telling me that hey it’s this and that just keep working hard and I know you didn’t get on but you’ll get on if you just keep working hard because this is what the coaches are seeing and they’re not seeing this this this and this from you and you got to do this this this and this better this is what the coaches are thinking well if I don’t think the coaches are thinking right do you think I think Dak Pres got us thinking right, man. Tell me what you want to. Tell me what you want to. I’m not I’m just telling you if I’m Trayvon Diggs. I’m not telling you as in my own uh in my own place, but if I’m Trayvon Digs, man, I’m not listening to Dak. I This is really my attitude. I’m not listening to Dak Prescott. He’s a company guy. I’m not listening to him. Not only is he a company guy, but you better stop. We better stop thinking that Dak don’t have some power, too. Dak has some power in this organization, too. And I’m telling us, it was that it was that answer for me that when Diggs gave that answer, I’m like, there’s no way he can get on the field. There’s no way the Cowboys can put him on the field cuz if he’s out there, he’s going to be playing for himself. If he’s out there, he’s disgruntled. Diggs is saying all the right things and some he is not saying all the right things, but he’s saying some right things in that interview like, “Yeah, I love Dallas. Come on, Digs.” Bro, you just saying what you need to say. I don’t see how you could love Dallas. You may love the fans. You may love the fame that comes with being in Dallas. You may love all the the the perks and everything, but if you tell me that you love being on this team, the answer you gave when they ask you who helped you through what you have went through, and you said your mom, there is no way I can believe you when you say you want to be on this team. You might like being in Dallas, but I’m struggling with you want to be on this team. How would you want to be on the team when you think nobody loves you? This is the best way that I can see it. And he’s uh he’s growing. He’s growing each and every day in every aspect of it. And I’m excited for him just to continue to get healthy and get back to the guy that he’s confident in being and going to make those plays. What’s the hospital? He’s growing debt. It wasn’t on the field issues. They don’t trust Diggs. They feel like it seems that if Diggs gets on the field, Diggs is playing for himself. Maybe Diggs goes out there, comes back next year, play on the team, play one year, ball out, get another big extension. But there is life after the Dallas Cowboys, guys. It is. And I still say my biggest issue with Matt Evafloo, Matt Eaflu seems to be very stubborn from the perspective of he wants to always prove that his system is what works. And rather than him adjusting a whole lot of things, which he’s done over the last three weeks, the the the previous three games, it seemed like some things with the Detroit Lions didn’t quite go right. And when he saw a little bit of failure, he reverted back to doing what he likes to do. That’s where I got a problem. But at the same time, Matt Evafloo, I mean, Brian Shottenheimimer is allowing him to do some of this stuff. He’s allowing him to do some of it cuz I’m telling you, I think this is Brian Shottenheimr’s decision. Ron Hannah said, “Yeah, as much as I don’t like it, G, it’s true. Brian was speaking for Murray and Flu, man. He’s been defending these guys to the hilt. I I got to reassess some of this. Jerry has a lot of trust in Brian Shenheimer. And I think what really won Jerry over to Brian Shottenheimer is two things. When Brian Shottenheimer went in the defensive room and helped make some improvements and some adjustments. Number two, the Moan Nean thing. Jerry really trust him. He really trusts Brian. He really does. He really trusts Brian Shenheimer. He’s listening to a lot of the things he’s saying. They are. And even on 105.3 defend, they told Brian Shottenheimer just this past week, they said, “You’ve changed, Jerry.” Because Jerry used to come in here and tell us who’s playing, who’s on the injury list, who’s not on the injury list. And now since you’ve been here, Jerry has stopped telling us anything. Man, Shotti is getting some some true trust and power in this organization. He really is. Shotti is getting some real power in this organization. And I think we’re going to continue to see Brian Shottenheimr’s imprint. I think we’re going to continue to see Brian Shottenheimer’s imprint. I I’m very interested to see where this goes going forward. But guys, I don’t know what else to tell us. I I just see this from both sides of the of the fence. I don’t think the Cowboys in particular, Shottenheimer and Illeuse, I don’t think they are big Diggs fans. But also, I’m thinking about Diggs from this perspective because I’ve been saying this. If I were Diggs, I would not want to play another down for the Cowboys. I would not want to play another down. It is going to be life after the Cowboys, man. Get yourself all the way right. Get yourself all the way right, man. You don’t don’t worry about people calling you a quitter or any of those things. You’ve been trying to get back out there on the field. The Cowboys have set a standard that you’re not getting back there out there on the field. And I don’t think Dallas is for Digs no more. And that’s and that’s fine, too. And even if it’s not fine, Diggs has got to be fine with it. Diggs has got to be fine with it. A lot of the things that Dak was saying last year, Shotti has been implementing a lot of those things this year. Man, I could go on and on and on. No, they care what Dak thinks. He was hired as a consultant first. Let me see here. Yeah, Chanel, think about this. No, I actually was not hired before Brian Shottenheimimer. Brian Shottenheimer was hired by the Dallas Cowboys in 2022 in a consultant role. In 2023, he was promoted to the OC. Then when they decide to let go of McCarthy and they’re talking to Brian Shottnheimer and Brian Shottnimer’s telling them some improvements and things they need to do, they said, “Well, he sounds like the head coach.” Now, I want you to think about something else. The Cowboys gave Brian Shottenheimer credit for something. If you pay attention, that’s really, really powerful. They said that Brian Shottenheimr was not only responsible for the take off of Dak Prescott and CD Lamb in 2023 by adding some wrinkles to Matt to uh Mike McCarthy’s play calling. But in Mike McCarthy staying on in 2024, they said he even had something to do with that. Hm. They’ve been listening to Brian Shottenheimimer. He’s been here. He’s been here. They’ve been talking to him about football stuff. Brian ain’t new to this, man. Brian ain’t new to this. We forget he became the head coach this year, but he’s been with the Cowboys since 2022. Man, this dude has been getting it in behind the scenes. He been getting it in, man. He has been getting it in. I’m telling you. Ablu almost kind of worked himself into that job. Talked himself into that job. I’m telling you, man. But again, man, you know what? And I don’t disagree with y’all on some of the stuff with Matt Ebalafloops, but I still say ultimately Brian Shottenheimr’s on board with this stuff. He’s on board with this stuff. Now, we’re almost upon the 50th anniversary and the Cowboys are about to play the Vikings. So, what are your memories of seeing hearing about the original Hail Mary and its impact going forward? Well, it uh that’s a fact. It feels See, I’m going to skip through some of these things cuz I really want to get to the football stuff. How do you How’s your How’s your stomach feel uh with all this? Like, I’m I’m nervous as heck every day waking up thinking about what what what you have to accomplish here to to potentially get in the playoffs. I do it with a little bit of bourbon. How do you how do you handle it uh through this time? Well, well, I can tell you this. Uh uh old Mr. Bourbon or what what have you uh has assisted me throughout my life in many in many times and but I’ll never forget my dad called after about All right, I’m going to get to some more football stuff. Um, Elbert Johnson, I I mean, Elbert uh Elbert Donaldson, I think you’re right on this part. It’s not a big deal. 70 70% of the season he hasn’t played. And again, another reason why it doesn’t make it doesn’t make sense for Diggs to play. And guys, again, hold on a sec. I don’t think he’s going to play again for the Cowboys, but he could. The window is still there. Cowboys win this week. They they they might still want to bring Diggs. I think that got the Cowboy. I I I think in particular that probably bothered Brian Shenheimer. I’m telling you, but they’re they’re giving Shotti a lot of leeway. Shotty is making some calls, man. Cuz I’m telling you, I believe Jerry wanted I believe Jerry wanted him on the field because Jerry sounded so excited. He was so excited. Yeah. Yeah. D’s going to be on the field in my mind. Well, somebody talked to M Angie, I’m gonna go back to your first point. I’m not sure that Digs I’m not sure that Bland isn’t good. I’m going to go back to your first point. I’m not sure this system fits who Bland is. I’m not sure this system fits who Bland is. But the Cowboys are going to roll with Matt Evafloose. They’re going to roll with him. Yeah. Now, I agree with this part, Chanel. He was hired before Shotti was pronounced head coach. Yeah, but Chanel, but I just wonder if the Cowboys consulted him on it. Hey, what do you think about Matty Flu? What do you think about him being the coach? I really wonder what he I I would love to know if they asked him that. I I would love to know if they asked him that. Hey, what do you think about Matt Evafloo? What do you think about him being being a defense coordinator? What do you think? cuz it’s obvious they were asking him about the head coaching and stuff like that. But yeah, hey, don’t get it twisted. Yeah, this got something to do with Brian, too. Two months I owned the Cowboys and he’s real. Uh, and it’s it’s it’s different. It’s serious. It’s it’s important to those that are involved at that time, but uh there’s a lot more. I had a coach one time tell it still has that kind of emotion in it right now and if they can use that and they can be pissed off on Sunday. Yeah. I I think that this time at this point, you look about what and uh a couple of those games or maybe more uh that we could have played better, done some things different and have a win up there rather than a loss on our record. Now, now is where uh that that play in a game or that series could make the difference. Uh to me that’s what’s being reflected on if you’re a player and you look back at it and say look but for this but for that. Now that is a subconscious way to you guys and and what does doing things the right way look for getting Trayvon Digs on the field. Okay. Now this is Jerry Jones I believe what was it yesterday maybe? I think this was Jerry Jones either yesterday or Thursday. I hadn’t heard this. So, Bobby Bell is about to ask about Diggs. What does that mean to you guys? And and what does doing things the right way look for getting Trayvon Digs on the field? Well, I’ll just uh I’ll cut right to it. Does he uh uh does his physical injury u allow him uh to compete like we know Trayvon can compete? It boils down to that right there. And he’s now Jerry isn’t singing the same song as Brian Shottenheim and Matt Eafloose. He’s not singing the same song. Thi this is simple for Jerry Jones if you ask me. Jerry is basically saying if Trayvon Diggs is if Trayvon Diggs is healthy, Trayvon Diggs needs to be on the field. That that’s kind of where Jerry seems to be coming from. Let’s listen some more. I haven’t heard the whole answer, but notice Jerry went to his health first. He’s been working through that. We’ve been working through it with him. And uh you’d be surprised the numbers of players uh both on any given Sunday or in general just group. You’d be surprised that uh you work through it, you get here as a day like we are today, Friday, uh they’ll have a certain level of uh of expectation, activity from what they’re doing out there today. Uh they’ll look at it Saturday, stay off of it quite a bit. And then this is every player that’s injured that’s iffy for Sunday. And then you’ll go out there and more often than not, you know, I think you turn the list in of active players about 30 minutes before kickoff, maybe 40, but you turn that list in and you have to look look at that list to see which players you’re going to be playing on the opposing team. Well, the same thing’s happening on our teams. And I’ve uh uh I’ve seen us leave uh uh leave the hotel and thinking that they’re going to be two or three active and they get out and they try to go and they’re with the trainers and they can’t go. And so right there within a 20 minute period. Now if you’re listening to Jerry Jones, Jerry Jones is boiling this down to this simple. If Diggs is healthy, Digs on the field. But the moment Jerry said this two weeks ago, that has never been Brian’s sentiment because Brian even said yesterday that Diggs has had a good week of practice. But the standard that the Cowboys are holding over Diggs is a standard that I’m not sure he’s going to meet the entire season. I don’t think Diggs is going to meet this the entire season. coming in the building, leaving the building, walkthroughs, classroom, whatever they’re do, interviews. I I don’t think he’s going to I I’ll be shocked if he meets the standard that they’ve set for digs. I’ve worked in corporate America and I can remember times whenever we wanted to get rid of somebody, we would set standards for them. And this was one of the reasons why I was I I had to get out of that type of work is that we would set standards for them we knew they couldn’t meet. We would put plans in place that we knew they couldn’t meet. I couldn’t operate I couldn’t continue to operate like that. My conscience is I I just got a different kind of conscience and uh I I just couldn’t do that. This is what uh before I was really into the church and people do these types of things. Jerry isn’t saying the same standard. At least as what I’m hearing in this answer. He’s not giving the same standard. Darren Posey, I think this is I think this is Brian Shottenheimer’s sentiment. Nobody’s bigger than the star. I do believe that’s Brian Shottenheimr. I I don’t think Brian when I say what I’m saying about Brian I don’t think see because we gota we’re gonna have to learn because I know we want things to be either or black or white but two things can be true. I can love you but not want you on my team. Some of us have family members but if we had a business we’d never let them work for us. We have family members we love. We ride or die with them, but we won’t trust them with our money. If we’re going to do certain things that need a group effort, we’re not going to let them be in the group. Why? Because we don’t feel like they are the type of person that we need to do certain things. And I don’t think Brian means anything malicious towards Trayvon Digs. That that’s the part that we can’t wrap our head around because we think things are always malicious. Things aren’t always malicious. Things are not always malicious. They’re not. Sometimes you just feel like somebody doesn’t fit and you say they don’t fit. And I’m telling you, listening to that interview, when he said what he said about the team, that Dak Prescott thing right there for me, I was like, there ain’t no way getting on the field. There ain’t no way he’s getting on that field. Chanel, you know what? I I I would love to know if he did because if you let Jerry tell it, he was definitely asking him a lot of things about what he thought about the the the team in particular, the the offense and stuff like that. But man, I I’m I’m still going to say I think Brian has some say so in this cuz when you listen to Jerry, it’s not matching what they’re saying. Jerry is simply saying if this dude is healthy, he on the field. But that’s not the standard that Brian and those guys put together. They put together, hey, is he healthy? Is he practicing well? And then they added all the other stuff, the meeting room, the walkthroughs, and in the building, out of the building, what does it look like? And it sounds like it, okay, is he in the building early on or on time, or is he early? And is he leaving the building early, or is he leaving the building one of the last guys to leave? Man, I’m telling you, when you put those kind of standards on people, man, they ain’t Man, they ain’t living up to that stuff. They’re just not going to live up to that stuff. Especially when they feel like you don’t have their best interest in mind in the first place. I I just I’ve been saying this for a long time, man. I just think the best thing for the Cowboys and Digs is that they just go their separate ways. I I’ve been saying that and I’m still saying it. And the only thing that’s happening right now is, you know, I know, you know, we’re talking about Diggs, but I but I just think about what he what what must he be thinking right now? I mean, it’s hard to feel sorry for millionaires. It is hard to feel sorry for millionaires. I mean, you know, you’re getting paid millions of dollars. I mean the money he’s getting a check whether he plays or not but I do say I still have to feel some for him because you could only imagine that you know or you feel like you know and you feel like whether anyone else agrees you know and you feel like I’m good enough to play and I’m better than every quarterback on this team cuz I’m sure Diggs thinks he’s better than every corner. back on the Cowboys team. And some of y’all would agree. I’m not even going to debate you. You are entitled to what you believe. But he probably believes he’s better than every cornerback on the Cowboys team. He probably feels like right now he feels good. He could really be contributing to this team. And to be told that even though you have been practicing well and to be told that that you you know you’re practicing well, you seem to be healthy, but you’re not doing all of the details right. You’re not doing everything right. And then the everything right is the standard that you are creating. Boy, let me tell you something. I I guarantee you it’s taking everything in Diggs. I I I bet you it’s taking everything in him not to go off. I guarantee you it’s taking it. Man, I wouldn’t even be surprised you hear Michael Parson speaking out on this in in another couple of weeks. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cowboys sit digs down for the whole season. I wouldn’t be surprised you hear Michael Parsons. I I can understand where I I can really understand where he’s coming from. But uh again, when you’re listening to Jerry, Jerry ain’t talking like Brian and and and and Matt. Period of time. they go from can’t go to go or go and and can’t go. So bottom line is uh it really does mean we’ll see how they look the day of the game. One more on Digs. Is there any that ain’t what happened with Diggs? I guess contractual consideration or reason that could go into determining whether or not to activate Diggs. Not that I’m aware of in terms of uh whether he’s uh you know contract. Now wait one more in digs. Is there this is the Bobby Bill or go or go and and can’t go. So bottom line is uh it really does mean we’ll see how they look the day of the game. One more on Digs. Is there any I guess contractual consideration or reason that could go into determining whether or not to activate Diggs? Not that I’m aware of in terms of uh whether he’s uh you know contractual and injury are pretty clearcut and uh if you can’t go because you’re hurt uh then uh that usually does not impact uh your contract. And so uh again there’s a lot of details in there’s incentives uh you could uh he could be uh losing an opportunity to make some incentives. All of those things are there. I couldn’t and wouldn’t frankly answer that specifically this morning. Jerry, are are you at all afraid or concerned that he won’t be able to be that player physically? See with Jerry, this is really cut and dry. This This is why I’m telling y’all this ain’t Jerry. This is not Jerry. They’re telling Jerry, “We don’t want Diggs to play.” They’re telling Jerry this. The rubber is going to meet the road this week. They only have, if I’m not mistaken, they only have seven more days. They have seven more days. If the Cowboys don’t activate him in seven days, he’s done for the season. It is going to be real interesting what they do after this game. The countdown will be on and the questions will be at a fever pitch about Diggs because I hadn’t even listened to this interview. But notice what they keep asking Jerry about Diggs. And Jerry’s response as it pertains to Diggs. Jerry response isn’t the same response that Matt and and and and and Brian are giving in Jerry’s eyes is if this dude is physically able to go, he he’s going. He’s going. Jerry said, “Hey, I I don’t know even anything contractual wise.” No, this dude is physically able to go. He’s going. That isn’t what they’re saying. And and even when you listen to Brian and Matt, they raised the standard. No, it’s not just about can he go, where is his head? And they don’t trust him. Get back to that and and be able to go at some point again. Well, he’s had a a a history here the last two or three years of being limited and you have to look at that. everybody. Uh that’s that’s part of the part of the the appro the look at it and certainly he had been happy with this thing here and we of course are missing we miss his out there and what we hoped we were setting up for the future when we uh made a contract with him going forward for years to Oh, now I want to talk about another player that we hope will be good for Jerry’s not talking like Brian. For Jerry, the standard is if he if he’s physically able to go, he can go. But that’s not the standard that they used. It’s not the standard. Darren Posie said, “Gee, if I’m Diggs, I wouldn’t want to put any bad tape off of my Knicks team. I got eight and a half kids there. No, no, no, no. Teros, you know there there there is some comedy to what you’re saying, but it’s true, man. I was having this conversation with somebody the other day and not in a funny way, but but Diggs got Man, bro, he got kids to take care of. There is going to be there has to be for Digs. There has to be life after Dallas. Posie, it’s funny what you’re saying, but it’s a lot of truth in it. If I were Diggs, and I’ve been saying this, Posie, you’ve been you’ve heard me and others. If I were Diggs, I would never touch the field for the Cowboys again until I’m 100% healthy. I said the same thing about Demarcus Lawrence last year. I’m not coming back 95. I’m not coming back 99. We were in the same situation with Demarcus Lawrence last year and they kept saying Demarcus Lawrence was going to come back the same way and DeMarcus Lawrence wind up not coming back and it was his choice. Diggs wants to come back. But I do think Diggs is going to realize something. If the Cowboys don’t bring him back, it’s the best thing for him. I I I believe it’s the best thing for Diggs not to come back. Bro, get your body right. Get your body all the way right, man. Get your body all the way right. Process all this stuff. Get your man. You You get your mental game and your get your mental and physical game in sync. And when you get let because they’re going to make you a post a post June 1st cut, there will be people there will be people who will want Trayvon Digs next year. They’re not going to want him for 15 and $20 million. They’re not going to want him for that, but he is still going to be able to get a pretty decent paycheck out there. There’ll be teams that’ll probably be willing to give him an incentive laden deal. There’ll be teams out there be able to they’ll be, “Hey, we’ll give you a two-year deal. We’ll give you a 2-year, $20 million deal, $10 million guarantee. Man, Digs has just got to just take this for what it is. And understand, bro, sometimes you don’t fit in a place no more. The queen is speaking. She said, “In all respect to Diggs, G, I think Diggs was finished with the team once Michael left. So, I think he is good with leaving. He didn’t think it was going to play out like this. I agree. I don’t think Queen I’m gonna tell you something. Jerry shocked everybody cuz I don’t think anybody ever thought Jerry would trade Michael Parsons. Nobody never thought I didn’t even think it was going to happen but it happened. But it happened. And now Diggs D’s got a man Diggs got to understand he can’t control he can’t control what anybody else does with him. nothing else. No one else. Ron Hannah said, “Wow, man, he needs to get himself physically, and mentally right so he can take care of his family. But in his present mind state, I don’t know if Diggs really wants to play football anymore.” Ron Hannah, I think he wants to play, but I think he’s in a dilemma. And I’m going to tell you the dilemma I think he’s in. He wants to play. Man, let me tell you something. I I just know for myself, you don’t get to live your dreams very often, you very rarely get to live your dreams, man. Kids grow up, I want to be the president of the United States. I want to be an astronaut. H I want to be a professional football player. You know how many people have that dream? How many young men have that dream? They want to be a professional football player. And when you reach that dream level, man, you don’t give up. You You don’t give you You don’t want to give that away. No, I think he wants to play football. I think his dilemma is the reality is, and this is why I think that what’s happening to him is going to be good for him. He’s going to realize in the long run is better for him. I don’t think he want to play with Cowboys anymore and I think that’s the best thing for him. Get yourself together, bro. There is life after the Cowboys. For years to come, Tyler Booker, we have talked about how good he has looked against pressure. But it also seems like he’s mean, too. Is that what you want in an offensive lineman? Right. Like that mean streak. Yeah, we call that makeup. Makeup. What kind of makeup do do they have? And um u boy, let me tell you, he’s got makeup. That that just uh jumped out at you in the draft. Uh it was a big plus for him. This guy’s got makeup. He he comes in almost as uh a leader type, which by the way, your offensive line is uh an absolute fabulous place to have a great leader because they’re a team within a team. But Booker’s been incredible for the Dallas Cowboys. He’s not who I’m worried about. Hand across. I always remember I always felt like Kevin Goen was one of the meanest dudes I’d ever watched play the game. You You got to see a lot of offensive linemen come through. Who Who is who stands out for you like that? Well, I’ve from time and he would he would be quiet. That’ll make you be quiet on those circumstances. Absolutely. Now, we’ve all talked all year about how well George Pickkins has been playing. Do you feel like at all because of that, maybe fans, maybe some media folks have taken CD Lamb for granted or kind of lost sight at what a weapon he can still be? No. Yeah. I think we’re being hard. Uh I think the criticism of this last ball game is being hard on him uh and not justified. And uh uh I understand what we wanted to do. All right. Let’s get into some meat and potatoes here. I’m old enough now, Timmy. Uh I’m old enough now, Timmy Terry, man. I see players Trayvon Diggs age, man, I’m like, you know, that that could be my son, you know, you know, in that age range. And I’m just thinking about what I would be telling my own son. I mean, you know, at the end of the day, man, as much as sometimes we kind of, you know, compartmentalize things and we just, you know, relegate these guys to just being entertainment, you know, they’re they’re human beings, too. And I I would really be telling Trayvon Digs, man. I really would. But I’d be like, man, you know, don’t don’t sweat the technique, man. Don’t sweat the technique. Control what you can control, and that’s yourself. If they don’t let you back on the field, you take this as a blessing from God. You going to get your body together, and you be you be ready to ride. You be ready to ride when they make you that post June first cut. There’ll be teams out there that’ll want Digs. There will be teams that’ll want him. There’s not going to be a team that’s going to trade for him, cuz why would you trade for him when the Cowboys are the ones who need to get rid of him? that the Cowboys cut it. Go out there and get it. It’s a business. They want to make money. So, if that’s the case, it is it’s life. They get paid 62. Wow. So, yeah. I mean, I grew up, you know, I I grew up in Chicago and there is kind of what the kid needed and that’s a big problem because the number one, you know, the guy the highest paid guy in your team is is coming away with 11 or 12 yards uh in a game. But that he was decisive. Okay. So, I think this is Justin Jefferson. I wanted to get past uh whatever they were talking about college football. This is the Justin Jefferson question here. Looks like you know I I just I think our expectations were probably a little higher than um than what was realistic with a with a young kid. His inability to stay healthy and stay on the field uh has been frustrating. Um I unfortunately maybe a break here and there is kind of what the kid needed and you know he got that but um I think it’s about MC game against Washington was probably his best and it was his best because he was decisive because he didn’t he didn’t sit in the pocket too long because he wasn’t looking at too much. Uh they kind of I think they they when they say simplified the offense, they kind of gave him more of a if then type of a situation. I think he was trying to make too much happen. Uh before I mean you look at you just look at his relationship with with Justin Jefferson. I mean that’s a big problem because the number one you know the guy the highest paid guy in your team is is coming away with 11 or 12 yards uh in a game. But that the that’s the lowest rated passing duo in the NFL. Wow. Right. I mean that’s you know that’s that’s like you you know you’re sitting there looking at Prescott to CD Lamb. Our quarter the passer rating is 47. That’s McCarthy’s passer rating throwing to Justin Jefferson. Six of his 10 interceptions were passes that he was trying to get to Justin Jefferson. So, obviously trying to do too much, trying to force the football. Uh, but that’s we we figured out how to get back on the positive side of the turnover ratio when we turned the ball over 26 times this year. It’s just been insane. Uh, but we figured out how to get back to plus three, you know, against the against the uh commanders. Um, can that continue? I don’t know. But it’s been uh yeah, it’s been it’s been a very very very tough ride with uh with developing a young quarterback. And and the problem is is he may play well the last five games of the year. You still I mean you’re still not really going to know where you are going into next year. It takes a couple years before you can really say that he, you know, he’s got it or he doesn’t. But you know, everybody wants a new quarterback, right? Everybody wants to just get rid of a guy and and draft somebody. And I think it’s we’re going to talk about this more as when we get into the meat and potatoes of our uh show tonight, but I heard something today and I don’t know how true it is that really may give JJ McCarthy an incentive to really come out and try to do damage against the Dallas Cowboys. Well, Joe Burrow has been has came out and said that he’s no longer having fun playing football anymore and he’s basically kind of taking these shots at the Cincinnati Bengals. And rumor is is the Cincy is that the Minnesota Vikings are going to go after Joe Burrow in the off season that they’re going to try to make a monster trade for Joe Burrow. I I was, you know, I was kind of wondering. I’m like, okay, is this like is this something where you’re really saying these or putting these things out here in the atmosphere because you want JJ McCarthy to really understand the importance of him performing? I was talking about this when when Darnold early on last year was starting to look really good. You’re like, you know, it’s it’s great. U but the problem is is he’s not going to be here next year. Doesn’t have that. You’ve got Lamb out there. Pickings has kind of been uh you got some negative attention. He’s playing on Sunday night. I think he’s going to be bringing his agame uh you know this this Sunday night and then yeah very impressive with what he’s done. So, let’s get into the meat and potatoes of what we’re going to talk about tonight. First things first, want us to look at the Cowboys update road to the playoffs. The road to the playoffs of the Dallas Cowboys. And then we’re going to get into our Cowboys overview. Let me tell you where I am on the Dallas Cowboys. And don’t take this pessimistic. But I’m saying something. This is a very pivotal moment, I believe, in the career of one Brian Shottenheimr. I’m not telling you that Brian Shodenheimr is on the hot seat. What I am telling you is this is a very serious issue because do y’all remember last year we were in a similar situation. We were in a situation last year to that if we could make a run down the stretch we get into the playoffs. We were not going to the playoffs with Cooper Rush. No, no, no. Boy, when people were talking like this, I was laughing. ain’t going no doggo playoffs with Cooper Rush, but Dak Prescott is healthy. George Pickkins and CD Lamb and Javvante Williams, the the the offensive line for the most part is healthy. We got a tackle situation whether Giden is healthy or not. But the Cowboys, let me tell you why. And no one is talking about this but me. So I am somebody. But I want you to notice something as we go through the road to the playoffs and why I believe this is an important game. The Cowboys of the playoff teams remaining to get that playoff that number seven playoff seed. Do y’all realize the Cowboys have the easiest schedule of everyone? Nobody’s schedule is as easy as the Cowboys. The Lions last four games, three of the last four teams have winning records. Three of the last four teams have winning records other than the Vikings. When you look at the Bears, the Bears, three of the last four teams they have have winning records. When you look at the Panthers, two of the last two of the last three teams and three of the last four teams, they have a winning record other than the Saints. And I got to remember, let me see, let me double check cuz the Bucks did get me. Boy, they did the Bucks wrong this week. They did the Bucks wrong with that pitch catch in the end zone. Let me make sure. The Bucks I last time I checked before that game they had a winning record. So the Buccaneers are seven and seven. So at seven and seven, the Bucks don’t have a losing record. So the Saints So I’m sorry, the Panthers have four games and three of their last four games. The the Bucks don’t have a losing record. They’re seven-7. The Seahawks have a winning record. The Vikings, their last few games. Now, their their last few games is tough or tough. The Cowboys are 66 and one. They don’t necessarily have a losing record, but I believe the Cowboys are better than the record. They got the Lions. They have the Packers. So, the Minnesota Vikings got a tough one. They got a tough one, gang. They got a tough one. Then you got the 49ers. The 49ers, two of the last four teams, have winning records. The Packers, this is a gauntlet for me cuz even if the Ravens don’t necessarily have a winning record. Let me see here. The Ravens have been pretty bad. I don’t think they have a winning record. Let me see here. So, the Ravens don’t have a winning record, but they have Lamar Jackson. And by the time the Packers see the Ravens, they could have a winning record. But the Packers got the Broncos, the Bears, the Ravens. So, you got two of those four teams with winning records right now. But when you get to the Cowboys, guys, are we seeing what I’m seeing? The Cowboys only have one team left with a winning record. That’s it. Three of the last four teams for the Cowboys do not have winning records. This is a very pivotal moment. This is a very pivotal moment in the career. Very pivotal moment in the career of Brian Shaner. I believe it’s a pivotal moment. What excuse are we going to give Brian Shot if he loses one of these games? Now, the Chargers game that’s in Dallas. I believe he should win this game. It’s in Dallas. Now, these other three games, the Vikings are that’s in Dallas. Commanders and the Giants on the road. Look at the records of these two teams. I know they’re divisional games, man. The Commanders are in reality decimated. The Commanders are decimated. The Giants are uh the Giants are missing major players, too. I know they will play the Cowboys hard. I know they’ll be outdoor games. I’m sorry. The Cowboys should win those games. They should absolutely win those games. JCT slice stay uh stay in patent. Remind me at the towards the end. The Eagles should have beat the Chargers had it not been for some of the worst quarterback play I think we’ve seen in years from Jaylen Herz. The Eagles should have beat the Chargers. How do you lose to a team and you get seven sacks? How do you lose when your quarterback is playing terrible? That’s how you lose. three of the last four games for the Cowboys. They’re all losing teams and there is no hope of them being winning teams by the end when this is all said and done. The Vikings are not going to finish with a winning record even if they beat the Cowboys. But they don’t need to beat the Cowboys. The Cowboys should win three of these last four games. And the Chargers, I don’t even have that game in red. I have that game in yellow. The Cowboys should be able to beat the Chargers, but it’s one game at a time. They better not come in this game taking the Vikings for for granted. The Vikings are about to give Cowboys all the work and more. They are about to give these boys work. The Vikings are about to give the Cowboys work, y’all. They are going to come into Dallas and I’m telling you, them boys are about to give the Cowboys work. I I’m not looking at this game as an easy game. But what I am looking at this game as the Cowboys are better than them. They’re better than them. Bottom line, the Cowboys are better than them. All right, guys. This is where I am this week. These are the story lines of the week. And this is the question that I want to see answered and I’m going to get a part of my answer this week. Story lines. Are the Cowboys ready for a playoff run? Are the Cowboys ready for a playoff run? Because this playoff run is here for the taking for the Cowboys. The Eagles are going to give the Cowboys the opportunity. I’m telling you, the the the Eagles are going to give the Cowboys the opportunity to win this division. I believe the Eagles are going to lose two of the last four games. They are going to give the Cowboys the opportunity. But are the Cowboys ready for a playoff run? Is it too soon? Y’all tell me. Is it too soon? Is it too soon to have these expectations on Brian Shottenheimer? Even though we know three of the last four games, Even though we know three of the last four games, three of the last four teams with the Cowboys are losing teams. The Cowboys have the easiest record down the stretch than any of these of these other teams. Three of these last four teams, they’re all losing teams. The Minnesota Viking game is going to show us whether or not they’re ready for a playoff run. My next question story line, which defense will show up for the Cowboys? Which defense will show up? Are we going to see the defense we saw against the Raiders, the Chiefs, and the Eagles? Are we going to see the defense we saw against the Detroit Lions? Who are we going to see? storyline. Dan Campbell gave the league the blueprint on how to stop that slant with George Pickkins. My question is, will Brian Shottenheimer have a better game plan for Pickings? Will he have a better game plan for Pickkins? Cuz City Lamb, if they come out and do what they’ve been doing the last two weeks, City Lamb is going to eat. City Lamb is probably going to have 150 plus. Lamb going to eat. But my question is, is Shotty gonna move Pickkins around? Is he gonna really try to open up this offense with George Pickkins? Storyline number four. I am sure the Vikings are telling one another that they have a playoff chance. They are going to they’re they appro they are going to approach this game like it’s a playoff game. I’m telling you, they’re approaching this like a playoff game. They better be ready. They are going to approach this like a playoff game. Next question. Will the Cowboys stop I don’t know why I got McCarthy. I’m have to check that. Will the Cowboys stop McCarthy. Bigger question is will they stop Aaron Jones? Y’all do know we’re about to see Aaron Jones again, right? Let me remind us. What did Aaron Jones do to us the last time we saw Aaron Jones? Anybody remember 2023? Green Bay Packers. Aaron Jones singlehandedly won that game. This was Aaron Jones. Jones had 118 yards rushing against the Cowboys, three touchdowns, two rushing, one receiving. This dude was wearing sunglasses on the sideline. He was be He was doing this up so bad. Are the Cowboys ready to stop Aaron Jones? Are they ready to see Aaron Jones again? And let me tell you about Justin Jefferson. Justin Jefferson has been having some horrendous games. The Cowboys are going to have to be very careful as it applies to Justin Jefferson. You would think that Justin Jefferson is actually injured. This was Justin Jefferson in the game against the Commanders. Let me show you the receiving. Justin Jefferson had four targets and he was two for 11. Justin Jefferson is due for a coming out game. We are going to have some issues with Justin Jefferson. They are going to try and get Jefferson going. Oh man, I’m thinking when I said the Cowboys, will the Cowboys stop JJ? I said McCarthy. I’m thinking Mike McCarthy. Uh I was I wasn’t thinking JJ McCarthy. No, no, no, no, man. I’m sorry. Well, that just goes to show you how little I think of JJ McCarthy. But the but the but the question is, will the Cowboys stop JJ McCarthy? JJ McCarthy in the last game was 16 for 23, 163 yards, three touchdowns, four sacks. I mean, he really didn’t. And let me tell you how JJ McCarthy and the Vikings really beat the Commanders over the last few games. What has really been beating the Minnesota Vikings when JJ McCarthy plays is he’s thrown two interceptions in those games. Each of those games, the turnovers have absolutely murdered the Vikings. So, by him not committing turnovers, it even though he had only 163 yards, he was able to get three touchdowns. He was able to get three touchdowns. Aaron Jones, of course, 14 of 76. He was running, he was running mad. Jordan Nelson 11 for 52. The run game really, really helped him out. 128 yards rushing between Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason. It’s a big deal, man. Basically, what he did was not beat them. They didn’t beat themselves with mistakes. And so, the Cowboys, if they want to beat the Minnesota Vikings, one of the things they are going to have to do is they got to take them back to what they were before. They got to get them to making mistakes. Let’s look at the Cowboys injury report. City Lamb, of course, we all know, has been cleared. Tyler Gayton, if I’m not mistaken, Tyler Gayton is out. Diggs has been ruled out again. Ferguson is questionable, but it sounds like Brian is saying he’s going to play. Clowny is questionable. Sounds like Clowny is going to play. The injury report for the Minnesota Vikings, the big thing for them is Aaron Jones is back. He was back last week and he’s back and he’s going to be a handful for the Cowboys. Christian Darren, uh, Darasaw, that’s a big deal for them. Their left tackle is questionable. Ty Chandler, the running back, is questionable. But when it comes to these questionable things on injury reports, after what we just experienced with Aman Rosane Brown, I don’t trust injury reports any longer. I I I don’t I I don’t trust injury reports no more. I just don’t. Marchettos, he said, “Who would you rather cover, Jefferson? I believe that they’re the Cowboys. I think they’re going to risk You know what? I’ll be honest with you. I would rather Savone Rebel Jr. play uh I would rather him play um Justin Jefferson than Don Bland. I mean, if he lines up on Don Bland, I’m I’m good with Bland going. But if he lines up on Savone Rebel Jr., I don’t want Don Bland traveling. I want to see what he looks like against Savone Rebel Jr. Savone Rebel Jr. is quick. He’s quick. He’s quick. He’s fast. He’s physical. I’d rather see what he looks like cuz I can tell you now. I can tell you right now. Rat N right now. We’ve seen Deon Bla in some of these one-on-one situations. And boy, he he he does not he does not have feet like Michael Jackson, Fred a stair, and James Brown. For some reason, somebody throws ropes around the run blend. When he gets ready to run uh run or make a tackle, sometimes somebody throws ropes around his ankles and he gets twisted up in his feet and falls down. I I I I don’t mind Marquos having Savon Revel Jr. on him. All right, offensive stat comparison. Just kind of looking at some of these that really count. The yards per play, the Cowboys are better than the Vikings. Points per play, the Cowboys are better than the Vikings. The Vikings rush about the same. It’s really both of them are 40%. Pass play percentage, they’re both at 60%. It’s pretty much the same. Completion percentage is the difference. Dak Prescott is 68.97. Cowboys are better in third down conversion. Red zone conversion, they’re about equal. But the Cowboys overall offensively, they are better than the Minnesota Vikings. Even with Justin Jefferson, I’m still giving the Cowboys the edge in the wide receiver room. I’m a little bit questionable in the running back room because they got kind of a fleet of running backs and we’re still deciding on whether or not we want to give them a leak whether or not we want to give a leak hook or two two carries or three. But I will say overall, I’m going to give it to the Cowboys. Now, I’m going to have to add another category to this right here, though, because I’m going to have to start turning this coach thing into offensive coordinator, cuz I’m really wondering if Brian Shottenheimer at this point in his career is a better play caller than Okonnell. Okonnell can call some plays, too. Derek Rose. Derek Rose, you got to tell me why. Why can’t the Cowboys win four in a row? The Eagles are going to lose two of the last four. Book it. They’re losing two of the last four. JS Tube said if San Francisco and Chicago win tomorrow, the Vikes will be eliminated, I think. Yeah. And I got to go back. We’ll go back and look at that again and see who they’re play who they’re both playing tomorrow. But I think if I’m not mistaken, more than likely Chicago was playing the Browns. Can’t remember if the San Franc San Francisco 49ers may be playing the Titans. I’m just going to write both of those out up as wins. Yeah, Shard. That boy Aaron Jones ran through us the last time. He ran through us like diarrhea. Ran through us. Defensive stat comparison. Of course, they’re better. Uh, of course the Vikings are better than the Cowboys in all of these stats. They’re absolutely better. I don’t know why I have that in green for them. Let’s correct this real quick. We’ll run this back tomorrow. I have these numbers up at the top. Done back. This was the part I forgot to do. Sorry guys, I’m a oneman band. Y’all don’t mind me correcting these on the fly. Appreciate y’all patience. But again, these are actually not supposed to be in green because the reality is is that the Vikings are better than us in all of these categories defensively. And that’s no surprise to anybody. They’re only giving up 4.9 yards per play. No surprise there. Opponent’s points per play, they’re they’re at a three uh point basically a point4. We’re at a 0.5. Opponent’s completion percentage, they’re at a 63, we’re at a 68. Opponent’s third down conversion, 37% for them, 47% for us. Opponent red zone percentage, 46.14. We have a whopping 72% uh give up in the red zone. Gosh. Now, it hasn’t been that bad over the last four games, but in totality, we were really bad before that bye-week. Defensive comparison, I’m going to give the Cowboys I’ll give the Cowboys the edge on the defensive line, but everywhere else, I think the Lions are better on defense than we are linebackers because we we continue to play Murray Jr. So, we can’t be better than anybody, Harley. We at our cornerback positions, they’re better, safety, they’re better. Uh, I think their defensive coordinator is probably better than Matt Evafloo. Overall, I think they’re better than the Cowboys defensively. Now, Vegas have the Cowboys at five and a half point favorites. Vegas have the Cowboys at five and a half point favorites. So, I I think if I’m not mistaken, Vegas had us beating Detroit, too. So, go figure on that. All right. Let me give us some key matchups. Dak versus Brian Flores defense. This is going to be a big deal. But, you know, I’m I’m really wondering I’m really wondering if Brian Flores is going to do this. Brian Flores may actually take a page out of Detroit’s book. Dak Prescott is the best quarterback in the league against blitzing and man-to-man coverage. Dak Prescott will carve you up. If I’m Minnesota, maybe I’m like, “Hey man, rather than us maybe going manto man all day and blitzing Dak Prescott all day, maybe we kind of take a page out of some of these other teams book. Maybe we rush four, drop seven, rush four, drop seven with a delayed blitz from the linebackers. Or maybe we just send one person all the time rather than just selling out the farm. I’m really wondering what Flores is going to do against Dak Prescott. Also, another key matchup, Brian Shottenheimer against Brian Flores scheme. I’m telling us this year, man, Brian Shottenheimr’s been our coach. He’s been out coached a few times. I mean, we saw it against the Denver Broncos. We saw it against the Arizona Cardinals. We saw it against the Detroit Lions. Now we’re realizing that it was against the Chicago Bears. We got our coach Ben Johnson brought some plays out and the defense was out there just swarming. And this was even before I mean, you could tell it was going to be a tough game even before CD Lamb went down. But nevertheless, we there are some games where Brian has gotten out coached and Brian likes to come out the same all the time. Brian wants to establish that run. I’m really wondering. I mean, I think a big matchup in this game is going to be Shotty against Brian Flores. Also, Cowboys defensive line against Aaron Jones and that running back company. Are we going to be able to stop Aaron Jones? I I’m really wondering, are we going to be able to stop him? Because Detroit gave us fits last week. Can we stop Aaron Jones? Another big matchup, Pickkins and Lamb versus the Viking secondary. Everybody around Pickkins is going to Everybody around Pickkins are going to benefit because teams are going to continue to try and take away Pickkins. If they try to take away Lamb, then Pickins is going to eat. But they’re going to try to take away Pickkins. I believe again. Lamb’s going to eat. But in order for the Cowboys to be successful, they need both of them eating. And I already said this early on. I mean, I really want to know what Shenheimer’s plan is for George Pickkins. Or is he just going to be stubborn and just keep trying to run that slant play? But I want this is going to be a huge matchup because last week what the Detroit Lions did, they played George Pickkins real close at the line. They stayed on his hip. Jake cheated over anybody that was in the vicinity, whether it was uh a defensive back or a linebacker. They were always cheating somebody over. So, I really want to know what is he going to do with Pickkins and Lamb. Here’s another issue. Thomas and Terrence Steel versus the Vikings pass rush. Man, them boys, boy, them boys been getting whipped. our tackle situation, even with Gton, if you ask me, it’s still a work in progress. And I just think it’s too late in the game to be talking about work in progress. Man, I’m very concerned about this tackle situation. I I mean, I’m not worried about our guards and our center. The Cowboys tackles is where if you’re going to attack them, you’re going to that’s where you got have to attack them. And so, I’m really wondering about that. Jeremy Betts, he said Aaron Jones was getting five to 10 yards downfield before being contacted. He said that’s crazy as all get out. Yeah, it’s crazy, babe. It was crazy. Alicia said, “Gee, Brian is is has seen behind the scenes what has kept our boys from moving from moving forward.” No doubt. Yeah. Yeah. And I believe he is calling shots, Alicia. He might not be calling everything, but I think he’s calling some serious shots. New house fam said Eva Foose will cost us in the playoffs. Well, if he get to the playoffs, he’s staying. JS Tomb said, “Gee, I watched the Viking game against Washington.” I’m going to go back and watch it, I think, tonight. The Commanders were all over Jefferson and Addison. J uh J uh JJ McCarthy made some good adjustments and was the sharpest he’s looked so far. Man, let me tell you something. He looked sharp against them. Y’all know how we’ve made some teams, we’ve made some quarterbacks look. Rich Lloyd said G Floose usually doesn’t travel corners. Another philosophy flaw in my opinion. Yeah. And in this and in this case, Rich Lloyd, I I’m not going to be mad to see Savone Rebel Jr. against uh Justin Jefferson. I’m willing to take whatever comes with that cuz I’ve already seen I’ve already seen Blend against Harrison Jr. I’ve already seen this story before. I’ve I’ve already seen this story. I’m sorry, but I’ve already seen this story before. No, no, no. Terry, I’ve already seen BL, man. I seen Bled I don’t seen BL against Harrison. Boy, that played last week Gibbs made on it, man. Man, Gibbs like to slapped him to the ground, man. Man, Derek Rose said, “Get the Cowboys can beat any team in the NFL physically. have psychologically there’s a hurdle that haven’t been proven they can overcome. There it is my brother. That’s why I’m asking are they ready for a playoff run? Cuz I think they have the talent to make it. The question is are they there mentally? That’s where I am. Derrick Rose Hannah said m Jones killed us. But if we watch this film y’all he would identify this from the film and make adjustments needed to not have a repeat performance. I agree. But I still say if you’re going to beat the Cowboys, where you attack them is not on not in the middle of the field. You attack them on the edges. That’s where you attack the Cowboys defensive line. Justin Jefferson versus Blend and Revel Jr. This is going to be huge. This is going to be huge. Justin Jefferson may have a coming out game against us. Key matchups. Also, Ibaflu scheme versus Okonnell scheme. Can Eva Floose out match Okonnell? He’s seen him before. He’s seen him before. He was over there in Chicago. I got some new opponents for the Cowboys. I got some new matchups. If y’all looking over here, these last two, one of the worst one of the One of the worst opponents for the Cowboys are themselves. The Cowboys versus themselves with penalties. Can they overcome that? Cowboys have got to stop beating themselves. And then number three, I mean then I’m sorry, then the final one, the Cowboys versus the referees. Cowboys have got to stop putting games in the hands of the referees. They got to stop playing from behind. They got to stop stop making stupid penalties. And then when they get on a run, they wind up making some stupid close questionable call and then they let the referees get involved. Will they be able to do this? Key matchups for the Dallas Cowboys. Next up, let’s go a little bit deeper into the offensive keys. I really believe the Cowboys might ought to start this game different. I say start with the passing game this game. What do you have to lose? Cuz if you’re going to come out trying to establish the run, I believe Minnesota is going to try to take that away from you. I say start out with the passing game. Brian Shottenheimr better offensive game plan. Shotti’s got to come up with better game plans. Shotti has got to start studying the opponents more, picking out their weaknesses, putting his players in the best position and the best situation to win. Need to see a better offensive game plan from Brian Shenheimer cuz I’m telling you, Flores is coming. He’s coming hard next. Move Pickkins and Lamb around. They got to stop all this just putting them in a position and letting them sit there. I would run them in motion all game long. Whether it’s Pickkins, whether it’s Lamb, whether it’s Fenoi, they are going to be in motion all game long. Guys, Cowboys have got to develop an outside run game. The Cowboys have got to develop an outside run game. And that outside run game is probably going to consist of Malik Hooker. They have got to get an outside run game because if your only threat in the run game is between the tackles, I’m going to line that dogone nose tackle right over your center and I’m going to crash down on you and I’m going to take away those between the tackle runs. Also, offensive keys, Cowboys. Ryan Fenoy needs to play most third. He needs to play third receiver this game more than Cavante Turpin. Another offensive key for the Cowboys. They have got to beat the Blitz. They have got to beat the Blitz. I I still say Flores is going to stay true to his nature. I think he’ll be a lot more clever how he does it this time. And I also believe the Cowboys have got to score 30 plus points. Again, let’s go a little deeper into these offensive keys. Start this game different. start this game with a run game. I mean, I’m sorry, start it with a passing game. I also say run Javvante Williams about 20 times, but I also want to see Malik Davis with 10 to 15 touches. I want to see Malik D Malik Davis outside runs. I want to see Malik Davis with some pitches, some sweeps. I want to see Malik Davis with some screens. If the Cowboys don’t develop an outside threat, teams are going to continue to pigeon hole them into playing from behind all the time. The Cowboys are going to have to keep Lipkkey as a lead back and keep him back there blocking more Brevin span forward, which we may absolutely get because even though they have Ferguson playing, I don’t know how good he’s going to be. Also, Cowboys have got to have no turnovers this game. They have no room, no room for error. Minimize the penalties. I still say loosen up this Minnesota defense. Take five or six deep shots. Score touchdowns, not field goals. I want you to get Cavante Turpin back to some dog on trick plays. Cavante Turpin needs to actually be a threat when he steps on the field. I want the Cowboys again to continue to take the points on fourth down. It’ll be very pivotal in this game. No slow starting by this Cowboys offense and they need to run 11 and 12 personnel. Here we go. All right, we’re about to get to these defensive keys in just a moment. Shard, we’re going to have some of those things on there. The defense is actually going to be a key in this game. Lock and D said we got to come to play. Just stick to the run and pass and that goal line. Run the ball. Definitely do that. Brian gets a little cute down there in the in that red zone for whatever reason. Christian Christian Lau, he said, “I see us putting up 50.” I think it’s possible. I absolutely think it’s possible. But again, let’s keep in mind these guys defense ain’t no slouch. Yeah, their defense is not a slouch. Yeah, I’m with you, Elbert. Yeah, play number 19 in the slot. Let the pass set up the run. Cuz I’m telling you, if they come out the same boring way they’ve been coming, they’re going to get stopped. All right, let’s get to the defense real quick. Defensive keys. I’m going to stick with where I was last week. The Cowboys have got to get at least six defensive stops. If the Cowboys will get six defensive stops, they’ll win this game. They got to force McCarthy into two turnovers. This has been his magic number for the team losing. Two turnovers, they lose. Pressure McCarthy up the middle. Constant pressure on this man. Stop the running game. I’m telling y’all, this Minnesota run game is going to be very potent. They got they got some guys that can run the rock back there. This is what I want to see this week. The Cowboys have said that Agent Zero is full all systems go. I want to see them use him in blitz packages. I want to see Demorion overshit packages. I would love to see them blitz him about six to seven times a game. Move him around, man. Put him on the edges. Let him Let him blitz from the linebacking position. Line him up on the edge. Let him blitz from that position. They need to start using this guy all over the field. I said this last week and I’m going to say it again. I am tired of the Cowboys with this rotation. Cowboys need to stop this stupid rotation they’re doing. I can understand giving guys a rest, but in this rotation that I if I’m the Cowboys, I got two things I’m not going to do. There will never be a time that Williams and Kenny Clark are not on the field. They will never be off the field at the same time except when the offense is on the field. I’m not taking them off the field at the same time. And if I’m going to have Williams out there, I’m going to have Oso Diggizoo out there. I’m never putting Oso Diggiza out there without Williams because Osa plays better with an elite player beside him. As it pertains to Kenny Clark, I believe you can play him with Solomon Thomas. You can play him even with a Perion win. I don’t think the Cowboys going to activate him, but you can play him with Kenny Clark, but I don’t want to see Osa out there with Solomon Thomas. That is that is plain idiotic. I don’t know why anybody would do that. That’s idiotic. But Williams and Clark, they need to be a pivotal part of that line. Stop letting them be off the field at the same time. They get enough rest when the offense is on the field. I think the Cowboys need to really pull back on that rotation. Also, defensive keys, man. They got to stop Aaron Jones. They got to stop Justin Jefferson. Woof woof, man. Cowboys got a tall glass. This defense has a has got a tall glass in head of them, man. Skeptical fan. Rebel Jr. I want to see him play better zone. I want the Cowboys to run more man coverage because I know BL been getting his socks burned off, but if you want to run some blitzes, you’re going to have to run some man coverage. They better be ready for some trick plays. Okonnell is a play caller, man. He’s a play caller. He He’ll dig some stuff out of the crate on you. Cowboys going to have to be ready. I think he’s going to try to come out and get on and get on top of the Cowboys early. The Cowboys going to have to minimize the big plays. The Cowboys have got to pressure JJ McCarthy constantly. This is what lost the game for the Cowboys last week against the Detroit Lions. They came out in the first quarter, they pressured him, held him to three points. After that, went back to uh rush four, drop seven, he picked us apart, and it was a wrap. Cowboys need to play more Logan Wilson. I said it yesterday, I’m gonna say it again. I know people are saying that Kenneth Murray is not as bad as people say that he is and some he’s not as good as Cowboys think he is. Well, here’s the problem. I don’t want you to be having that conversation about my Mike linebacker. If you’re telling me he’s not as bad as people say that he is, that still means he’s bad. That still means he’s making bad plays. He doesn’t make he’s he doesn’t make bad plays all the time. It’s just that when he does make bad plays, they’re horrendous. I want to see more Logan Wilson. Cowboys have got to create some turnovers. Bottom line, they have got to find a way to create some turnovers. They have got to make JJ McCarthy turn the ball over. Cowboys also stop Aaron Jones. They have got to stop Aaron Jones. That is going to be pivotal in this game. Guys, I’m telling you, the Cowboys defense have a tall glass. The Cowboys offense, they they are going to have to put up some serious points. this offense against our defense. It’s going to be it it’s thankfully it’s JJ McCarthy. That’s the weak link in the chain. I think if the Cowboys can keep JJ McCarthy rattled off the mark, they’ll be able to win this game. Lock and D. I don’t think that’s a problem. I think the Vikings are very good on defense. Offense needs to come to play. I don’t want to see lazy routs from CD and pickings. I’ve been seeing that lately. Yeah, I think they I I think both of those guys are going to be rev revved up. I think they’re going to be revving up. I think they’re going to be good to go. Yeah, Bet said set the run up with the pass. Problem is they haven’t been able to do that. Detroit kind of was able to stop him from doing that. This is how teams have been stopping them. I think this is what’s messing up Turpin. Turpin is so focused on trying to get in on offense that Turpin is not putting as much into the special teams. If I’m the Cowboys, I’m going to start using Turpin more intently. When I bring Turpin in, I want him to be a literal threat. I’m going to start running him on some go routes again. I’m going to get him on some pick play. See if I can match him up on a linebacker. see if I can match him up on a safety. I’m going to run four wide receiver sets. See if I can match Turpin up on somebody in space. I’ll line Cavante Turpin up on the same side as George Pickins. I’ll tell him to run a go route so that George Pickins can get that slant in. And if they don’t run with Cavante Turpin, I’ll hit Cavvonte Turpin deep. The Cowboys have got to start using this guy more strategically. And I think the biggest mistake they made is giving him the third wide receiver spot. That spot belongs to at this point Ryan Floyenoi. I want to see more big plays from Clark and company on special teams. They’ve come through big come through big for us on in some games. Block punts, block field goals. I like to see them doing some more of that against the Minnesota Vikings because if the Detroit Lions taught us anything, don’t take special teams for granted. The Detroit Lions last week, one of the places they pulverized us was in spe was on special teams. My thoughts as we get ready to come to a close. My thoughts. I believe Dak Prescott is going to beat the blitz of Flores. Dak Prescott in these next four games. Dak Prescott has some incredible things on the line. Dak Prescott may be in the running in these next four games. And I think he is in the running. Comeback player of the year, MVP of the league. I think he may be in line for a first team allpro. And if it’s not a first, Dak Prescott will be second team AllPro. Pro Bowl poll. I mean, Dak is about to get a bunch of accolades. And I got a strange feeling. I have a strange feeling. If the Cowboys win out and they make the playoffs, the MVP voters, they are going to make it up to Dak Prescott and he will get that MVP. They’re going to think about how he played in 2023 and they robbed him and then they’re going to think about how he played this year. Dak Prescott is going to get that MVP and I believe if the Cowboys win out, they will go to the playoffs. I believe the Eagles are going to lose two of the last four. Dak Prescott will beat the Blitz. He’s going to continue his MVP campaign. Big game from Pickkins and Lamb, but I also think it’s going to be a big game from Justin Jefferson. I think we are about to see some crazy wide receiver play on both sides of these on both from both of these offenses. Justin Jefferson, we better get ready. I think Justin Jefferson’s going to have a big game against the Cowboys. I really do. I think he’s going to have a big game. Big game from Jefferson. But also, I think there’ll be a big game from Pickkins and Lamb. And I do believe that Dak Prescott is going to beat the Blitz of Brian Flores. But I am not going to fool myself. Dak Prescott will be running for his life. Dak Prescott will be running for his life against the Minnesota Vikings. Brian Flores is going to send it from everywhere. He going to send that blitz from everywhere. This going to be a tough game for the Cowboys. I do believe it’ll be a tough game. Even if it’s only the first quarter, even if it’s only the first half or the first three quarters, this is going to be a tough game for the Cowboys. I believe Okonnell, watch this. I think this is where Okonnell, if we’re not careful, Okonnell is going to give us all kinds of problems. I believe Okonnell is going to run, run, and run. The best way to soften up a pass rush, the way the Cowboys have it, is run. Run and run away from him. Don’t run up the middle. Run outside of him. Get him on the run. I think he’s going to run, run, run, and run some more. Brian Flores. I believe Brian Flores is going to put on a show coaching.
