Derrick Harmon INJURY UPDATE, James Pierre out, Ramsey on Dolphins revenge game | Steelers Rewind

What’s going on everybody? Welcome back to Steelers Rewind here on penlop.com. Nick Farbell here with you guys. And today, Saturday practice, a special Saturday practice. Usually Steelers obviously do Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Maybe they’ll have a walk through on Saturdays, but because of the Monday night game, they have an extra practice today. Took Wednesday off. A little bit of a different schedule. So, the big news today, Derek Harman’s back. Um, that is the big news. The Pittsburgh Steelers have their standout rookie back. If you looked at the the injury report yesterday, ya Black, Derek Carman, Cam Hayward, and Ko Benton, all four of the Steelers top four interior defensive linemen were on the injury report. All of them were out there today. Feels like they’re getting healthier there. No TJ Watt, he’s ruled out obviously, so don’t expect him. But Dererick Harmon is back. That’s a really, really big piece. If they can get Derek Harmon on the football field this week, even if it’s in a limited capacity with Devon Han, who is going to play Mike McDaniel said, Dolphins head coach, that would be absolutely massive. Um, on top of that, Calvin Austin the third did suffer that calf injury yesterday in practice. Um, but he was out there today. That’s a good sign. Darnell Washington seemed like a full go. He should play. Malik Harrison should play. No Andre Pete, that’s going to be the big one on the offensive side of the football. Dylan Cook will start left tackling. The big one on the defensive side of the football is going to be no James Pierre more than likely with a calf issue he had this week. He suffered it at some point in the Ravens game. He battled through it. Um it’s going to be Asante Samuel Jr. He will be making his first start with the Pittsburgh Steelers and that should be a pretty fun one to see. Just interested to see how he kind of plays and how that ends up playing itself out. Jaylen Ramsey and Jon Smith also talked today. They are playing Miami for the first time since they left Miami this off season. Um, obviously the minko Fitzpatrick storyline is going to be something on this side of it. Um, Ramsay didn’t make much of a big deal out of it. Neither did John. It’s a business-like thing. No one’s going to talk that up unless there’s some serious venom and I don’t think there’s venom on either side of those uh lines. So, I don’t think that’s going to be something. Also, Jaylen Ramsey with some strong opinions on the fire tomachance said it was basically BS um and comical to him. So, certainly something to watch as we go.     Key Injury Updates 

    T.J. Watt: Ruled out for Monday's game after undergoing surgery for a partially collapsed lung.

    Derrick Harmon: Missed practice again (knee).

    Cameron Heyward: Missed practice (knee).

    Keeanu Benton: Limited (ankle).

    James Pierre: Did not practice (calf).

    Calvin Austin: Limited (calf).

    Darnell Washington & Malik Harrison: Both limited (concussion).

  13. Steelers record without TJ playing… I think we all know this…but it's 1-10. Not good. I know Herbig is having a good year in backup and in situations…but I'm very concerned, as we tend to be flat the week after a Ravens game, as it's so physical and brutal…both teams get banged up, and we definitely are. Most of our key guys will be in there, but how many are going to be playing hurt and not at 100%. Miami is surging, and this could be a trap game for us. Just sayin'.

    Ramsey defending a guy who has put him in one impossible situation after another this season, a guy who's totally miscast him, & a guy who's amateur Operation has made a HOFer look like he's cooked is "laughable and BS" & just sad.

    If Mike T could coach like he gaslights his guys, he'd deserve the positive reputation he has.
