MORE Moves Coming… MAJOR Wild Trade Updates | Minnesota Wild News
The next move for the Minnesota Wild has been revealed after the absolutely insane Quinn Hughes move. The Wild are now in desperate need of one position in specific. We’re going to be breaking it down as well as going over a few names that have been thrown out there throughout the NHL here in this season. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a lot to break down here in today’s second episode of the day. And like I said earlier, if you haven’t already, be sure to hit that sub button because we have a lot of stuff that is going on here in Wild Digest, but also throughout the Minnesota Wild with this trade. Multiple videos coming, as well as a game tonight, the day before the debut of Quinn Hughes in a Minnesota Wild uniform. So, like I said, you’re going to want to hit that sub button, stay up to date with everything here on the channel. We’re going to have a video for you every single day. But, let’s jump straight into it. And I first want to once again go over the trade because there’s now looking at this one obvious need for the Minnesota Wild that is a center. Liam Ogrren a guy that has played center quite a bit here for the Minnesota Wild. Marco Rossi someone who has also been an incredible topline center if needed a top six for sure. But moving both of these guys now causes one major hole for the Minnesota Wild. And of course, a lot of people were kind of attributing that to the trade as to not being why the Wild had won it. Maybe why the Wild could have gotten more. And that is a completely reasonable statement. I completely agree that the Wild could have maybe squeezed out some sort of center in return, whether it’s depth, whether it’s a bottom six, something along the lines of that may have been useful. But at this point right now, regardless of what happens, the Wild need a center. And that seems to be the next move. After making this big move for Quinn Hughes, there is no way in my mind that I can see Bill Garren go out here and not get a center before the NHL train deadline. Now, there’s an option. There’s multiple options at that actually because of how Quinn Hughes’s contract is structured. It gives the Wild the freedom to be able to go out and not just try and get a guy who’s going to be a depth center that you hope plays above their expectations or someone who’s on a cheap deal that would cause that player’s value to go through the roof. But with Quinn Hughes’s deal and looking at how this looks right here, 7.85 85 million for this year and next year. A very reasonable contract among today’s top superstars and is not even the highest paid defenseman on the Minnesota Wild right now. Keep in mind they cannot negotiate until July 1st for that 2027 2028 contract year of a new deal. However, they need to make the most advantage of this with a wide open playoff window with this 7.85. Now, going into that, once again, you’re looking at the forwards. They have some very solid names. They don’t need to go out here and get a topline player. They have Denilov who now all expectations are on him going to play his best game possible. Eric Neck who we have seen for years on the top line. Someone that another player this season has been absolutely fantastic. Has been a player that you hate to play against. Ryan Hartman, we play him on the wing quite a bit, but as a centerman I full I still fully believe. and Nico Sturm as well. But you’re looking through the lineup, a lot of players that can play center, but really nobody that moves the needle for a middle six to top or a bottom six, excuse me. So trying to get that extra name certainly is going to be a major factor for this Wild team. With that, they may need to move some prospects. That is one point of concern for this. the only at this point. Although the Wild are very content with moving prospects and as we saw just, you know, yesterday trade for Quinn Hughes, they are going to need to at least manage to use some picks but also use some prospects because if they’re trying to get someone who will be a differencemaker, they don’t have that, you know, entire pile of second round picks. everything after that in all the next 3 years. Yes, this is not going to be a first rounder or a second rounder that I’m sure they’re looking to move, but there are things that they can certainly work around with this and especially on this deal. Like I said, the cap space that you have will be fantastic because heading in the next year, you’re going to have 13.8 million. Now, we spoke about the possibility of a Vladimir Terasenko uh you know um potentially staying here, whatnot on another deal. Would that happen? I don’t know. But that’s once again on the wing. our Tammy Panera was supposed to or what we thought would have been slotting in on that role where Terasenko is right now on that first line with Matt Baldy, you know, remaining on the second or jumping up to the first. A lot of opportunities. However, now looking at this cap space, they have the ability to go out here and get someone that is not strictly on a good deal. They can make something work. And there’s a few names that we’re going to talk about here in this video that really have that potential. And there’s been a few that have already been spoken about by multiple teams across the NHL regarding the center. And we know Jordan Kyro on the wing. That was one we saw, you know, of course now Quinn Hughes was one that was on the top of the market. Didn’t, you know, didn’t expect the Wild to get him, but ultimately they did. But a few more names have been a bit on the older side. Steven Stamos being one now at $8 million. This is the second year of this deal. It’s a big contract. That is no doubt. And especially with what they have to do next year, the contracts they need to extend next year, everything they need to do in house, Stamos may be a tough option. Even though the Predators seem to be willing to get rid of him and an internal, you know, division trade, not normally we some we see, but if the Predators are desperate enough to get rid of Steven Stamos as a depth option that can play once again the wing or center, bring him back to his home as a centerman, he could be a very sneaky option. Now, if they did want to get it down a little bit more, once again, they would have to overpay to get a retention from the Predators. Another option that has been thrown out there is once again from the Nashville Predators, Ryan O’Reilly. And this one to me seems like a Minnesota Wild move. Ryan O’Reilly seems like a Minnesota Wild player to me. And I don’t know if it’s kind of the the Yeti look or what it is, if it’s like, you know, something about him just seems like his play style, the look of him would be a phenomenal player for the Minnesota Wild. At 34 years old, a year younger than Steven Stamco, currently on the first line, centering the National Predators at $4.5 million for this year and next year, he is a player that with his current value, how everything is playing out, would be a phenomenal option for this team. if they’re looking for someone who wouldn’t break the bank, someone who not just wouldn’t break the bank, but also is not going to cause you to break the bank internally with your salary. He is a guy that I really wonder if the Wild are already in talks or have been throughout the season because this is not a new question. You know, this is not a new trade that the Wild needed to go about. They were looking for a center before they even made this Quinn Hughes trade. So at at this point right now, especially with that deal done, they are more than ever desperate to make a move for a centerman. So let me know what you think about Ryan O’Reilly, Steven Stamos. Of course, there are a bunch more, but I don’t think the Wild want to go younger with this. They don’t really want to look for a guy that is 21, 22 years old. They can pop in on center. It really does seem like at this point and how this team looks right now, they want someone who has, you know, multiple years under their belt, playoff experience, everything. And Rhino Rally fits that exact bill. And I mean, the way that he’s been performing with the age, he’s still playing well and he’s still keeping afloat, staying consistent. I think he’s a great option that this team should consider. And I do want to just quickly take a look at his stats because obviously going in to the season there’s a lot of questions. Would Ryan O’Reilly was his age catch up to him? But 30 games, 23 points, nearly playing 20 minutes per game. He’s been someone who and actually a pretty good shooting percentage. Wow. I didn’t actually notice that as well. And solid on defense. He’s having, you know, one of the better paces in his career. Of course, for a guy like Ryan O’Reilly, who was not necessarily known to light the lamp, but with 10 goals, 13 assists, the Wilds still are looking for someone who can consistently put up goals. and what is probably, you know, a 10 time 20 goal score. Really looks like he’s going to reach that again this year and exceed that. So, it’s a good it’s kind of a good idea. I’m thinking now, of course, everything would have to work out. Would the Wild be willing to give him up? What is his price tag is the biggest question, but that is all stuff that I think Bill Garren is really looking to get into the weeds with and then go from there. So, let me know what you think about that. I’m going to ask you guys this question right here. Who do you want the Wild to target that can play center? Let me know in the comments because there’s a lot that we can discuss about a lot that can come to mind, but options are, you know, options are plenty, but would anybody in your opinion really fit that need for the wild? Let me know in the comments below. It is all I have here in this video though. If you did enjoy, give it a like, hit the sub button as well. And I appreciate all of your guys support here over this last day and a half here since Quinn Hughes got traded last night. multiple videos, a stream, lots more coming because we get Quinn Hughes’s debut tomorrow night. If you did enjoy, give it a like. Hit the sub button as well. I’m sending out, though. Thank you for watching. Hope you have a great day and see you

Yes…Bring Us Ryan O!!!
Liam isn't and wasn't ever a center
Is Anders Lee going to be available or did the Islanders sign him?
Tarasenko + a pick for ROR!
Iโm 42 years old and love hockey and the wild. I never have bought a Jersey.
If the Wild sign Stamkos I will for sure get a wild sweater. Iโm so excited if they can resign Hughes the trade is worth it if not BG needs to go!
๐ yes
We need him ๐ yes he is going to be the best !!!! ๐
Where would a new center slot in?
Sidney Crosby. Use the power of the Flower and lure him here
Ryan O, Crosby, Tuch would all be solid.
Tim Stรผtzle for Tarasenko & 7th rounder. Get it done Billy boy
He would intentionally sabotage a run, ROR hates Minnesota
Liam was never a center ๐
Tim Pool vibes
I think BG is going to trade Yurov and Jiricek for a 1C in his prime. Someone like Tage Thompson.
He's in win now mode
Crosby would be nice …we could get kadri now…but if we wait 2 years we can get mcdavid.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Tage Thompson and Alex Tuch or bust!! Whatever it takes, BG!!
we need a wild unpredictable maniac like scory perry or nazim kadry. someone who can take out their top 6 player during the playoffs. rememer karill getting smothered a few years back and taken out by the blues? someone who can goon makar if we meet the av's in the playoffs. what about domi from toronto?
