I’m reporting live from the 2025 World Series media day. I’m extremely nervous. I don’t know how many of these players are going to know who I am, especially outside of a uniform. And I’m terrified to ask a bad question. And when show comes out, I’m terrified I’m gonna get run over by some media trying to uh get to him. Here we go. Do I just hold the microphone up to him? But it’s weird seeing pe people seeing me out of uniform, I think, cuz we’re not used to seeing each other in street clothes. So, I feel like I need to introduce myself. There was definitely a few that we weren’t sure. As the interview was going on, it was like maybe I should introduce myself and maybe I should have been better at that. also turned out I wanted to do some recruiting for team Italy even to try to find some guys that weren’t uh born in Italy or have family in Italy, but there are some guys who have been to Italy slash thought about going at some point. So, and yeah, what a day. I’m tired media members. Whole new respect for you. Hello, Major League Baseball and we’re here outside the Rogers Center, formerly known as the Sky Dome. It’s the first stadium that had a retractable roof. I learned that watching Cash Cab this morning in my room. So, we’re here. We’re going to talk to some fans. We’re going to see what they say. We’re going to see if they can say something nice about the opposing team. We’re going to see what I potentially would do for a living if they had to guess. We’re going to try to not make it too much about me. But, as that meme says on Twitter that you see sometimes, sometimes you have to look into the mirror and say, “Get in there and make it about yourself.” and that’s what I’m here doing. We’re here with Elliot outside the stadium underneath the tower. It’s really tall. Can you say one nice thing about the Dodgers? Um, I love Freddy Freeman. Why? He’s Canadian. He always represents us in the World Baseball Classic, so it’s nice to have a MVP caliber player represent the country like that. Did you know that I have some Canadian in me? I did actually. If I were to tell you that I hit 32 homers and drove in 113 RBI’s this season, would you believe me? You know, you guys you guys build for it. So, I I definitely uh take your word for it. Uh with the Kansas City Royals. Oh, really? Yeah. It’s unreal. Do you believe that? Um yeah. You know, I I don’t know ball as much as you do, I’m sure. They pull 11 on this dominant pitching. First World Series. What this crowd feel like tonight? Were you able to slow down your heart rate and lock in? And you had the fans. They love you. It’s a little bit the energy, but you had to control yourself and breathe, you know, and uh I always breathe before the game and uh that helped me to breathe in the game. When you saw Addison come up and they brought in the lefty when that ball came off his bat, what were you thinking? I was pointing already. I know that was, you know, the sound of the bite, we know when when some people hit at the ball hard and especially he’s he’s a monster, you know. I feel so happy for him.
