Vikings Officially Eliminated from Playoff Contention. No Factor

What’s going on, Jeromes? So, as the Bears are currently leading the the Browns 31 to3, you know, barring some sort of Falcons-like collapse, the the Vikings will be officially eliminated from 2025 playoff contention as I get choked up. And you know, it it is what it is. Uh even though the the Vikings had a chance, like even if they won out their last four games, still be less than 1%, the Vikings need a lot of things to go right and it didn’t happen. But I think a lot of Vikings fans were sort of resigned to the fact when they lost six out of seven, six, uh including four in a row. It’s no bueno. So the Vikings also will be locked in to uh last place in the NFC North in all likelihood. So next year last play schedule even though the last play schedule is really only a difference of three games but also how the Vikings have a second place schedule and have the hardest schedule in the history of mankind. Uh but still you know a lot to play for towards the end. Uh and frankly it was great that Kevin McConnell had the team show up and show out like they did last Sunday when the Vikings were in a similar situation and you know the team has not quit which is good. And also number one is see what you have in JJ McCarthy. get him some positive vibes the rest of the way. Jefferson Addison, can this offense get on track and put some crooked numbers up on the board? Offensive linewise, so offensive line, you are going to keep them together next season. But for, you know, for Darasaw, yes, it would be great to have him in there now to see what you really have in McCarthy, but also frankly McCarthy is going to have to get used to playing without Darasaw at times, too, because he hasn’t played a full season in five years, right? And also if Darasaw had a devastating knee injury or any sort of injury in the last four games, you know, setting behind the clock for 2026, that would be a disaster. So even though it stinks, uh they should consider sitting Christian Darasaw the rest of the year. Uh and also defensively, can Diamond Stern continue to grow and show Jaylen Redmond? Can someone step up in the secondary? A lot of things going on. So you goals for the rest of the season. You know, McCarthy makes progress last four games. You know, certainly did against the commies. Offense gets some consistency. They certainly have all the pieces there. Defense continues to be disruptive. See who’s going to be here in 2026 because I feel like even though, you know, the Vikings are are noted to be a older roster. I mean, basically the core tenants of the the the pillars of the roster, they’re going to be back, right? So, the Vikings have to consider who is not going to be back in terms of veterans with large contracts and go from there. So, I I think this could be good the last four games. Also, uh you know, positive momentum and vibes. I I know that some people want the team to lose and then get a better draft pick even though the Vikings could really only improve to about seven. It’s going to be between Vikings are likely going to be picking between seven and 12, you know, somewhere in there. But, you know, there’s so much to be said about yes, th this year was devastating due to injuries, due to lots of factors, due to whatever, but Vikings can get some positive momentum down the stretch as well as they would love to piss in the Cowboys Cheerios and the C and the Lions are struggling for playoff position. Uh, and the Packers trying to get that one seed. It would be glorious to to be able to crap in the upper deck part of their toilets and just let it run. All right. So, have some momentum going into next year, some positive vibes. It’s going to be really important. So, uh even though the Vikings are now officially eliminated, I mean, honestly, the last month or so, uh fans have been okay. They made their peace, you know, with this season, but a lot of good things that can happen the rest of the way to give them some momentum heading into 2026 and bring it on. Last play schedule, baby.   15. All good in the hood, win out and get ready for next year. These are still meaningful games. These are like playoff games actually, you have to think of it that way.

  29. Normally I'd say play the spoiler, but there aren't many chances to do that. Dallas is almost certain to miss the playoffs. New York is pathetic. Sure, it would be fun to piss in the cheerios of Detroit or Green Bay, but the main goal here should be getting McCarthy under center and getting him some reps. Like it or not, he's the guy and he needs to keep building confidence.
