All Signs Point To This…
All signs point to this as the Dallas Mavericks have been finding some success as of late. They are 5- one over their last six games. And although some of those teams are bad teams, at the end of the day, a win’s a win. The Dallas Mavericks this season are too good to tank, but they’re not quite good enough to compete. Even with the West being relatively weak, weaker than what a lot of people expected, but the Dallas Mavericks are finding success. And at the end of the day, that’s all that matters. Anthony Davis coming back from injury is looking really, really good. Cooper flag is improving time after time right in front of us. Klay Thompson off the bench is phenomenal. The Dallas Mavericks have the right pieces. But a lot of people would point out the Dallas Mavericks are one player away from changing everything this season and actually making a push for the playoffs. And that player is Kyrie Irving. The same Kyrie Irving who is dealing with an injury as he did get surgery on his knee. He is set to return sometime in the future. The Dallas Mavericks aren’t known for giving us a clear-cut timeline when it comes to these injuries. However, over the last several days, we’ve been getting a little bit of nuggets on a possible return to play this same calendar year, as well as I was told by a trusted source that Kyrie Irving is being prepped for a return very, very shortly. So, in this video, we’re going to take a look at all the reports, all the little nuggets that have been dropping around Kyrie Irving, see what they’re saying, as well as I will show you what my source said specifically about Kyrie Irving. But, how’s it going everybody? My name is Marcel Martin. This is Mavericks Digest, bringing you the latest news on everything Mavericks related. And before we get started with today’s video, we’re currently sitting at 23,685 subs. We grow by the day, ladies and gentlemen. But if you want to be up to date on everything Mavericks related as we navigate this crazy season filled with trade rumors, injury reports, our live streams and watchalongs. If you don’t want to miss out, make sure you subscribe and I’d appreciate it greatly. But the Dallas Mavericks, like I said, they are five- one over the last six games. A few very impressive wins for sure, definitely over the Houston Rockets. Impressive. The Nuggets, impressive. And I’d argue even the Brooklyn Nets, although they have a worse record than the Mavericks. Before meeting us, they were on a little win streak. They were doing fairly well. Michael Porter Jr. looking like a taller Steph Curry hitting every three that he wants, but it wasn’t enough for the Dallas Mavericks as they are handling business. And things are looking good. I think a lot of fans can agree that when the wins come in, you start to feel better about your team. And although yes, I understand some of these wins are against lesser teams. But I think at the end of the day, we got the win. That’s really all that matters. You got to get them where you can. And when the tougher matches come up, you got to handle those like it’s a game seven in the finals. You got to really fight. And that’s the one thing that we’ve seen from this Dallas Mavericks team. They fight. When the majority of our games have been coming from the clutch, I’d say maybe 23 of the 26 games we’ve had this season have all been in the clutch, have been very, very close. Now, those are signs of a team that’s prepared to have a successful season, we’re just a little bit under man. And as we all know, without Kyrie Irving, it’s harder to win these games. But with Kyrie, we would have a very, very different record. And with all the reports surrounding trades, who’s coming back, who’s staying, who’s going, there is one thing that is consistent that’s being reported is that they want to wait until Kyrie Irving returns for any trades. Now, obviously, this isn’t a trade video, but just to throw the report back up, the Dallas Mavericks want to see Cooper Flag, Kyrie Irving, and Anthony Davis play together before they make any big trades. That obviously could change, assuming you get the right package for AD. Now, not to talk about any trades, but focusing solely on Kyrie Irving, meaning they’re not going to trade AD until Kyrie returns, meaning Kyrie is expected to be back before the trade deadline. I think that’s just something we can obviously assume from this report that Kyrie is set to return before February. There’s been other reports showing that there’s another potential timeline to return as Grant Absith reported saying that from my understanding of the situation have long held the thought that there’s optimism of a pre-allar break return. Now, obviously All-Star break is before the trade deadline. That’s also a good thing that we know that anytime between now and February that Kyrie Irving could return, but there’s even more signs showing that his return could be a lot sooner than we thought. Kyrie Irving, who did tear his ACL earlier this year, did have surgery. All the reports that came out since his surgery showed that he’s been progressing very well. He’s ahead of schedule. Things are looking good. Even Jason Kidd said, “I hope he returns in 2025 and not 2026.” which let’s be honest, Jason Kidd is not a doctor, so we can’t really take his professional medical word for it, but he is the coach. He is next to the doctors. He’s next to the players, so he does know something. So, it wouldn’t surprise me if the return of Kyrie Irving or the idea or plan to return has been heavily kept under wraps as they want to take this this entire season more serious than they ever have. We’ve seen Daniel Gaffer, Derek Lively, as well as Anthony Davis. Those three players who’ve been dealing with injuries have been taking it very very serious. We’re seeing guys missing games for injury management. Something I don’t think I’ve seen this team do in over the last several seasons, especially not last year. Guys were coming back early from injuries last year where this year we’re taking a more methodical approach. We’re being careful with injuries, making sure no one comes back too soon in rushes and potentially get injured again. But when it comes to Kyrie Irving, who’s been out for about eight months now, coming close to eight months, is on that early timetable to return from an ACL tear. And the signs that we’ve been seeing as they’re everywhere is the first one we got the other day as the NBA just announced the Mavs home game against the Sixers on New Year’s Day will now be televised by NBA TV. Very interesting. Is there a reason why they wanted to change that to NBA TV? Is there is there a reason why we want more eyes on the 10 and 16 Mavericks against the Sixers. Maybe it’s more so for the Sixers, not for us. But that was the first thing we saw. We saw more reports where the NBA has announced the following updates for the Dallas Mavericks regular season schedule. Dallas at Portland on December 29th will now have a game time of 9:30 p.m. and remain televised by NBC and Peacock. So, as of now, over the last several games, we’re getting some games changing. There’s obviously more eyes on it, nally televised games. Our schedule’s changing a little bit. I would assume other teams could be seeing the same change. But for the Dallas Mavericks, why would we want to change anything anytime soon? It’s just New Year’s Day and December 29th. Why are those dates very important to change for a team with a losing record if it’s not because Kyrie Irving is returning? And I fully do believe that Kyrie Irving will play at least one game before the month of December is over before the New Year’s unless something drastic changes. I truly do believe that we will see Kyrie Irving in the upcoming days or maybe upcoming weeks really. But there were more little nuggets that were dropped all over the place on your little fantasy app. Some people report were reporting that they said the estimated return for Kyrie is January 1st, 2026 on the New Year’s. Now, I didn’t go looking to see if every injured player has a return date of January 1st, but showing that Kyrie is expected to return on January 1st. Our our New Year’s Day game changed. A game against the Sixers is now being televised on NBA TV. More changes are coming for the Dallas Mavericks, and all signs point to Kyrie Irving’s return. A lot of fans are excited for it. I would argue that that’s one of the reasons why we’re losing games is because we don’t have Kyrie. But if you have Kyrie, even if it’s in a limited role, the Dallas Mavericks can still win more games than not. We’ve seen this team go out there and fight. Even though it looked very bad and bleak to start the season, I definitely didn’t really think that we were going anywhere. But as of late, things are changing. They’re playing better. They’re winning games, and that’s all that really matters. The Dallas Mavericks are taking a more methodical approach, like I said, to injuries. So when Kyrie returns, we can expect minutes restrictions, no backtobacks. We could see him possibly not travel on road trips as he maybe travel but not play every game on a road trip. We’re taking these injuries very, very serious. And when it comes to Kyrie Irving, he knows his body well. He’s a type of player who will gladly take control of his own injury, his own timetable to return. He knows his body and trusts his body. So the thought of him rushing back should go right out the window. Trust Kyrie Irving that he knows what he’s doing. He’s not trying to rush back to save the season as either we go in the lottery or we don’t. So, it’s one or one or two different ways. There’s no championship or bust this season. But if we want to be competitive and try to make a playoff push, then of course you need Kyrie Irving. But trust Kyrie and his body. I know people are going to freak out and think he’s being rushed back, he’s coming back too early, I think when Kyrie Irving returns, he’s returning right on time. But a few other things that we definitely want to take a look at this right here, the little nugget that I received from one of my sources a few days ago. I got the date in there for you guys. I was told that Kyrie is on the runway. They’re discussing when he’s when he’s coming back. Pretty much the date, the game, making sure there’s no backtobacks, make sure that it all coincides very well with his injury, with his recovery, with everything involved in Kyrie Irving, making sure that he is good to go when he’s good to return. And like the report that we saw earlier, they’re not making any trades until they see Kyrie Cooper and AD on the floor together to see what that looks like. So between now and February, whenever the trade deadline comes, Kyrie Irving is set to return. I would also assume that that they’re going to want more than just one game of the of these guys together. They want a good sample size. So expect there to be a good ample games between Kyrie Irving coming back and if and when they trade Anthony Davis, which leads me to believe we may not trade Anthony Davis. I think Kyrie Irving come coming back would be very good for the team. We’re going to look a lot better. So in turn, we may end up keeping Anthony Davis. There probably won’t be a trade, but that’s not the worst thing in the world. I think as Mavs fans, we should be happy if Kyrie comes back and things start to look better because our team will be better. It’s better to watch. But it all comes down to Kyrie on what he wants when he wants to return and it’s all going to be on his terms. But let me know what you think in the comments section down below. Do you think that Kyrie Irving is coming back too soon? If it’s this month, do you think that he should wait until the trade deadline or maybe All-Star break? Let me know your thoughts on the comment section down below. We could have a conversation about it. But that’s all I got for you guys today. Thank you for watching the video. pretty sure that jan 1st Date was pushed back to Feb 12th on espn. Im not sure if its to take pressure off him but its definitely further away
me personally think if it takes until the superbowl to come back stay out the whole season trade everyone
It's true Kyrie's been practicing with a team
Kyrie Irving is coming to town 🎄!
Kyrie not coming back until February if that’s true just let him sit out the season come back next year
Let’s go!!!!
The part about “when Kyrie returns, he’ll be right on time” reminds me of this quote: “A wizard is never late. He arrives precisely when he means to.” – Gandalf
Kyrie should just wait till the trade deadline
Free Kyrie
KI = Chuck Norris Walker, Texas Ranger. Once he’s on the team, it’s a wrap. He’s the man until there’s a new sheriff in town. The beast isn’t dead. He’s just sleeping.
The Dallas Mavericks with Kyrie Irving is scary as heck. That’s like swimming with jaws.
Naa bra that date on fantasy league changed to February
i dont know how true the ESPN fantasy app is but he is now listed as comming back 2/12/26
Oh man this team could be special with Kyrie back… even with our continued injury struggles. At the very least they should be VERY fun to watch. Can't wait until SUPREME KAI is back!
AD really came through in the second half of the Brooklyn game… call the game👍🏻
This is the NBA, there are no easy wins!! I hate when people say that.
If AD, Kyrie or Flagg dont make the All Star team this team will not win a championship. I think they can win a Championship this year. They need to push for AD or Kai to make the All Star team then im sure its possible to win this year.
This team is built around Kyrie
Could be Kyrie could be because of the teams in the In season tournament need days shuffled
Kyrie is the leader and closer that we desperately need to push us over the top. Can't wait for him to come back and round this team out.
I say trade Kyrie too Miami for Tyler Herro
U wrong there a report today kyrie is out defently
Kyrie is from a long term injury and being a 30+ player he will need time to get back to his best. Dont expect him to be good this season.
