  7. Canucks fan (and new Minnesota-ish fan, I guess, fuck) here. Your read on the situation aligns with what I’m seeing; Quinn is clearly nervous as hell, gripping the stick a little tight, and a bit lost in the new system, but you’ve seen the flashes of raw skill already.

    Here’s what I can tell you, making the very safe assumption that once he adjusts he will perform just like we’ve seen: those “flashes of brilliance” aren’t going to be “flashes”. It’ll be every shift, every puck touch, every pass, nonstop. Ankles will be broken in the offensive zone every game. He’s truly a special player. You’re going to understand very soon why we would push back so hard at the assertation that Makar is “clearly the best defenseman in the world”.

    I’ve never seen anybody completely tilt the ice for a full game like Hughes other than McDavid. He’s absolutely fucked.
