Bruins vs. Wild | NHL Highlights | December 14, 2025

won his last two starts. Shut out
the Bruins last March. Last year, both games in this series were shut outs, one
for each side. Now all teams up two ranks. Here comes Baldi in a glove save by Swayman. Get
another look here at the stretch pass. You talk about the stretch offense already. Baldi
gets a good look and Swayman reads it right off Baldi’s tape and right out on top and it
was disrupted by Faber just enough to break it up. Zaka comes off the end wall out to the
line. Shoulders from a shot on the rebound and a save by Gustoson. Stopped early including
this one against Morat Husnadinov on the rebound. is so tight, but the skating ability
and the the generation of defense. Johansson’s been one of the hottest
scorers for Minnesota lately. Five points in the last three games.
Spurgeon moves in. A shot. He scores by Joe Hansen getting in the eyes of Swayman.
Swayman sees the release of that shot on NHL goalie that puck’s not going in. Johansson knows
immediately when that puck gets kicked up top to Spurgeon. Gets right in the eyes of Swayman. No
chance he’s ever going to find that puck to the blocker side. Great release. Gets rid of it again.
Spurgeon gets it by the first forward of Boston. And now Pablo Zaka comes through center ice.
Postra got it back to Zaka into the slot for Lindholm. And Zack Pagosian got there in time to
cut him off. Back to Middlestead. Middlestad to Lynholm. A shot kicked out by Gustoson. Lori
Wheels. His shot blocked by Johansson. Obe’s out of the box. And Baldi’s pass which would have
sprung him in alone was just deflected by Lynholm. Hunt back to Bosian. His pass intercepted by
Castelik. He has support in the slot. A shot and a blocker saved by Gustoson. That’s a big hit by
Zidorov. Punt fires. Save. Swayman. Rebound loose. Sturm with a shot. And another save by Swayman.
It’s the traffic in front. It’s leading to pucks laying around the crease. And you saw the
early goal. Mark Hansen takes the eyes away. But Swayman’s the top goalender in this league.
And to Johansson. Johansson to Baldi. His shot blocked in front by Lindol. Favor in and a save
by Swayman. Missed the net on one and stopped by Swayman here. A good push by Swayman to get
over. I don’t know how he read that play. Ericson, what a pass on a te a favor who gets down on
one knee and gets all Woody can get on it and Swayman just gets a strong push and seals
that. Didn’t know it. I just figured they had already put the gear on the plane. Uh, so we
had we had somebody um we had somebody fly it in this morning and they’re rolling out. What a bad
night’s sleep I had. Because then there’s weather out in New Jersey and all it was uh Yeah, I was
up at 5:00 this morning. Yeah. I mean, you know what? I I think it’s it’s it’s different because
we’re we’re in different stages right now. Like, you know what? We’re you know what? We’re we’re
we’re a little you know further ahead. And this time he carries it ahead to Asimoth at the
Minnesota line. Asamat the shot and the glove save by Gustoson. Boston’s a team they want to
get the puck in and go to work and play simple offensive hockey. Talked about before the game and
they want to grind you down the first 40 minutes and let the skill take over in the first period.
Goldie shot goes wide. Rebound. Caprico scores. A quick backhand flip from Capriov and it’s two0
Minnesota outside. They enter the zone and Eric Zack takes a stick and moves it aside. All Bozi
to throw the puck towards the net. Kicks off the back wall. Kum’s out in front and Cabris beats
Sway into that post and just pokes it over his pad. But just a shift to go. You’re talking about
Jones just simply getting that puck to the net. Half a minute left in the wild man advantage. Faber hits the Boston line. Faber drives
in centers and they score. Ryan Hartman and Minnesota’s second power play group has
their second power play goal of the night. partner all night about his his ability to skate
with the puck and enter the zone with speed. And you just see what Faber did through the neutral
zone. I think you’re going to see that of those two for the next several years. But what
a pass over to Hartman. Make no mistake to beat Swayman on the blocker side. But
it’s all started by Favor, his skating, his heads up play. Eyes up on Swayman the
whole way. Not allowing Swayman to get set on Broaddin and Middleton on the back end. You lose a lot of minutes and guys matching. Those
are guys that are playing Hughes in. He scores. Welcome to Minnesota. You see his skating ability, his want to get up
and play offense. He finds a good area of the ice, gets himself into a good shooting area, has the
ability to squeak him through Swayman’s legs, but there’s not a lot of defense from
that. Read that play the way he does and see Hartman driving that puck into the zone
and find that ice in the top of the zone, get in the middle of the ice. We talked
about that when they acquired him. his ability to get into the middle of the ice to
man the puck which he does. Assist number 38 and number 16 impossible. So he was unable to be a part of that team but a no-brainer to be a part of
the Olympic team coming up in February. And they score. Bley shot beat Schwayman who
appears to be shaken up on the play. Throw the puck to the net but face out a 50/50 bat out.
Bulby maintains possession. Takes a shot short side off swing. It looks like he’s already shaking
his arm a little bit. Ends up after throwing his blocker off. I think it’s that initial shot by
Baldi that stings him in the collar bone. That puck kicks off. Saka Skade leaks in Block. Hey, it
was a franchise changing day when when those two were brought in. It’s just a record-breaking
deal when those deals were given out and Mackoy holds at the line. I mentioned it earlier
that as exciting as it is and as much excitement as the addition of Hughes has brought cuz here
they break the shut off. teams beats Gustoson and the Bruins are on the board. It’s 5-1.
They get rewarded for their pressure. Gets three guys to the crowd. Ste enters the
slot and finds a loose puck. But this is the offense they want to play as
they want to play this heavy meat and potatoes game. Control the puck. Play heavy
in front of the crease. And Steve comes in, finds that loose puck. Gus can’t find it through
all that traffic in front of him. You got two wild players. just gets through his armpit there on the
blocker side. And now Pitlick on it for Minnesota. Duck pass to check. Pitlick centers. Punt off the
post. He’s been here longer than him. Capriov just does hold at the line. Erikson back to Capri. A
shot. Pass. Save. Swayman. Rebound. Mak boy tries getting his stick on it. Oh boy. Maybe on that
angle it does look like it caught the crossbar. No, that puck never went in. No, it did. After
video reviewers determined that the puck hit the crossbar and did not cross the goal line.
Therefore, it was no goal. So, the initial wave off by the officials was correct. Hartman held
on the play. A penalty coming against Boston. Delayed call against the Bruins as Hartman
circles up high. Capri off fires, scores dust to get to the bench. On comes Capri
off late. Pit does a great job in front again. Great traffic in front of Swayman. But
Harman creates that play. Drawn the penalty. goes out to the top of the zone, gets that
puck to Capri off finds high blocker. You see Pitlick diving there, getting thrown
down by sends it down low. Hines gives a few different guys a look here on the power
play. Jones fires, tipped in front. Eurovv hunt to Trenion. He fights by a check. Trenan’s
in on the back hand. A save by Swayman. A heavy hit on Pit. Jones goes to
Ome Koval and he missed it wide. Jones holds but his pass intercepted by
Corali out of the penalty box. Corali in short-handed. A sprawling play by
Gustoson. And what a save against Jano. and just before the horn. It wouldn’t matter
anyway, but an unfortunate comes down. Aggressive play, but the rebound on an athletic save.
Please reset the clock to 9 seconds. So, they will actually go through the process
here of a faceoff with 9/10 of a second left. The peak goal will make it 6-2. Here’s
a look at the save Dustin made just before. Uh fun to see that he looks comfortable out
there at the bottom of the circles. He’s a red plate to come on break away from
Carali though. And now it’s official.

  1. Ive been a Canucks fan for 30 years. Hughes is my favorite player to ever play for us. I’m sad to see him go but I’m glad he scored a beauty on his debut. I hope he wins the cup this year.

Never thought ide be cheering for the Wild!

  2. Whew, welcome, Mr. Hughes to Minnesota. As an old coot, who grew up with the original North Stars, I remember so many of those dark 70s lean years, when I'd be glad they'd return from a trip to Boston with nobody actually physically killed. Nice to see a game like this one against the B's!

  3. Wild looked good even with all the injuries. Quinn is incredible – Faber was tremendous as his partner, they are gonna be magic together. Zeev had a goal and an assist in his debut, wishing the best for him Rossi and Ohgren!!
