Chargers vs. Chiefs Reaction: Patrick Mahomes suffers torn ACL, KC out of playoffs | NFL PrimeTime

Chargers sweep the Chiefs. No team had swept the Chiefs since 2014, which by the way, Herm, was the last year that they did not make the playoffs. That’s ancient history. I’m talking making the playoffs at all. I’ll take the cat out of the bag because pending other results. The Chiefs are a out of the playoffs, b Patrick Mahomes, now a torn ACL right before Christmas. You know that I mean, who know? We’re not even speculating at this moment, but that picture kind of summed up the Chief season. They looked, I don’t want to say tired, but they look like a team that have played in eight uh they’re going to play 154 games in eight seasons, playing in Brazil, playing on every day of the week, playing on every holiday. I I think that they look tired the whole time. You make a great point, Boom, and when you have accomplished what the Chiefs have done, this organization, every time they play a game, it becomes a big game for the opponent, right? They it just you you get excited about playing the Chiefs. These are the perennial Super Bowl champions. They’re always in the playoffs. So, that’s what they had to deal with the last three or four seasons. And you’re right, they looked a little tired. Patrick Mahomes generally bails them out at the end of games. That was not the case. You know, just picking up yards. And we’ve seen it all year. It seemed like it looked so hard to sustain a five and six first down drive. I don’t know. For them, it looked hard. For other teams, maybe not. No, you’re you’re you’re exactly right. This was a Chiefs team. You kept watching and waiting for a They’re going to get going. They’re going to get going. They never really got going. This is why they sit in the position they’re in right now and probably eliminated from the playoffs. Well, well, they are now. And let’s not belittle I’m not trying to put second string here to what the Chargers have done. They’ve won three in a row. They played kind of the just like last year the image of their head coach Jim Harbaugh right on both and Justin Herbert in case you didn’t know boy he’s a tough ombre boy he’s a warrior and think about that they they beat the Chiefs twice this year. Yeah, that that that that that says something. They beat him obviously in LA and they beat him in Arrowhead, a game that the Chiefs needed to win to stay alive and and this was a game early the Chiefs took the lead, but the Chargers just kept playing and found a way to win a game in Arrowhead and the Chiefs are playing for their playoff, you know, to stay in it and that did not happen. So, we we’re never sure if the Chargers were Look, they’re a really good team. Obviously, the the Chargers are 10 and four. We’re not sure if down by 10, but they stay with what they’re doing and they didn’t panic on the road at Arrowhead. That speaks to the relationship, coach, quarterback, and whole team. And their defense came to play holding a sheets of 13 on the road. That’s exactly right. And when you can do that, um, you’re going to be in the game because you figure we have a quarterback that the game is not too big for him. If he has the last possession, he’ll find a way to move the team down and win us game. Chargers aren’t in yet, but but they certainly look like they’re going in that direction.
