But, let’s get to this one between the Miami Heat and the Toronto Raptors. And you got the Miami Heat coming into this one with a record 14-1 on the year, both straight up and against the spread. Miami coming into this one off a 117 108 loss to Orlando in their last game. now loses a four straight while Toronto’s also lost four straight and six of seven after a 117 101 loss to New York in their last game as part of the NBA Cup and knocked them out of the the uh the tournament. 15 and 11 are the Raptors now this season and 11 and 15 against the number this season. And what’s been more alarming for me for the Raptors over this little stretch has been the majority of these losses have come at home where the Raptors have been really strong for the better part of the last, you know, couple years. even when they were really struggling, you could at least more often than not rely on them to at least be competitive at home. But now that’s not been the case. They’re now 1-9 against the spread in their last 10 overall. They failed to cover in eight straight and they failed to cover in five straight, sorry, pardon me, six straight home games. So, you know, it’s really concerning for me for the Raptors in their current form and, you know, the two road games that they were playing, you know, they were a road favorite against Charlotte, lost outright and the game where they were a road dog in New York, you know, again, against a New York team that’s had their number. They lost that game by 22 points. Now, they take on a Miami team that, yeah, you know, it’s been slumping themselves, but three of those four losses came on the road. You know, Miami is a great 10 and three at home this season. They’ve had Toronto’s number going back to last season. I mean, even for the better part of the last year and a half, you know, Miami’s won five of the last six meetings and six of the last eight between these two teams. And a lot of these have actually been doubledigit victories or at least wins by nine or more. Five all these all six victories have been by nine plus points, including the nine-point overtime win in Toronto back in February of last year. And for me, the injury report is just favoring Miami as well. You know, you have Tyler Herro listed as available. Uh, Yakuchionis listed as probable. Drew Smith’s available. While the only person on Toronto’s injury report that’s probable is Jameson Battle, but you still have RJ Barrett listed as out. That’s a big one for Toronto. And until Barrett comes back, it just feels like this Raptors lineup is missing something. I mean, you still have a talented group of, you know, Quickley, Barnes, and Ingram. But Barrett right now is just feeling like a missing piece. I mean, you know, you’ve seen a lot of the struggles that this Raptors team has had without Barrett in the fold. And I think that until he comes back, it’s just really hard to give Toronto any sort of credit. I think that if I were to back Toronto, I would need a few more points than what I’m getting here. I think this is a spot where Miami can win this one by eight or nine points at home at the very least. I’m going to roll with Miami in this one.
