My feeling is we wait until next year for the C to see how the year plays out. My hope is EP40 ramps up again. Obviously we want a captain that is stable, so thinking EP40 or Brock. But if one of our young guys starts going off, then maybe that.

You need to pull Brock aside, away from it all, away from the spotlight and the rumors and the media and the rest of the team and you need to give him 3 options. Do you want out? (You have more than earned it, and given the direction we pitched you on to sign long term this is clearly not that). Do you want the C on your jersey (you clearly personify a Canuck, and are one of the biggest character people we know). Or do you want to never be asked these questions again?
Team should’ve taken a Zadorov deal, favoured JT over Petey over for a trade and not fumbled Hughes and maybe we’d be in a decent spot.

Feels like just yesterday we were in the Hughes Era. Does anyone else remember it? Haha, I guess I’m old.
If the Canucks were a wildcard team right now, management would still not know Hughes’ future with the team. We would make the playoffs and get knocked out in the first round and then Hughes would tell management he wasn’t isn’t re-signing July 1 and we ultimately would not have gotten as good as a package for him in a trade.
So glad to have a signed Boeser jersey. He’s a real one. I can’t wait until he lifts a cup here in Van in a few years. I have never felt this optimistic about the team. I’m so thankful Management agreed to trade Captain Quitter now because this haul will help us.
We need to get picks/assets for Sherwood/Kane as soon as possible:)
Judd Brackett drafted all 4 skaters in the deal.
Fuck Jim Benning. Don’t forget that him and Judd had a falling out, and now hes the amateur scouting director for the wild.

Would love to hear from Petey. I know he hasn’t played so that’s likely why, but he’s the highest paid guy and the best player on the team. He’s always expressed love for the fans and the city so I’m just curious.
