[Haynes] “Giannis says trade rumors aren’t from him, but from his representatives: ‘I can’t control what the front office decides, or what my representation does’… If he’s living up to his end and the team still isn’t good, then he WILL have to say something directly to the front office or publicly”

  1. Giannis, you literally do control what your representation says or does.

Worst part of this ordeal is watching Giannis add to the drama. Lame as fuck.

  2. As if you don’t literally control what your representatives do. They represent you, that’s the entire point

  3. I don’t know what Giannis actually said but you definitely can tell your representatives what to do when it comes to your career.

  4. He just needs to own this and come out and say something like “Bucks will forever be my team, I love the city, people etc. however it’s time for me to move on and help the bucks rebuild etc.” I’d respect that more than him dragging this out without actually saying anything.

  5. Either he thinks we’re the dumbest people on the planet or he’s okay with people speaking for him and making it look like he is.

  6. Doesn’t he pay his representatives to advocate on his behalf? Do they do anything without his blessing? If he’s telling the truth, shouldn’t he fire people who aren’t working on his behalf?

  7. Your agent works for you. They are paid to get you what you want. They aren’t going out there pushing for a trade without your say so…

Again this is Giannis trying to spin this because he doesn’t want to look like the bad guy.

  8. He’s trying to leave and not be the bad guy doing it. He wants his cake and he wants to eat it too.

  9. What in the world is Giannis talking about. His representatives is a representative of him. He needs to stop with the foolishness, smh. Im getting tired of his shanningans

  10. Dude they represent what you want! You can absolutely control that. That comment if true tells me he wants to be traded but is too afraid to say it himself.

  11. I’m a Canucks fan, I just watched something very similar play out with Quinn Hughes, our superstar defenseman (a top-5 NHL player for those who don’t watch hockey).

It’s bullshit when a player does something like this. Hoping it works out better for the Bucks.

  12. I don’t think any of this is particularly surprising. He is always going to say that he’s fully locked in and leaving the business stuff to his agent to handle so he can focus on basketball.

But suggesting that his agent is looking into trades seems to pretty much fully endorse that these rumors are true, assuming what Haynes is saying is accurate.

  13. Haynes isnt most reliable but if this is true then giannis has gone full off the deep end delusional pro athlete.

He says its about championships but honestly I think he just wants to live in New york. If I had that kind of money id want to live there too.

  14. Giannis defenitelty knows what hes doing. Hes trying to bounce but wants to be seen as the good guy still. Theres no situation where he will look like a good guy unless he just owns it

  15. I am a warriors fan, I come here in peace, what exactly does giannis even want? Is he just trying to save face at this point because he definitely can control his representatives this is like saying every player’s agents can say what they want whenever they want about their client. I am not even a bucks fan, and I find this irritating

  16. This is more annoying from Giannis than satisfying. He’s admitting his representatives are having these talks. They’re HIS representatives. What is he even on about? He controls what they do and say about his career

If he wants out he should just fucking say it. I’m tired of him trying to play both sides. It makes me think significantly less of him than if he was just plain about what he wants

  17. I didn’t expect this saga to become more annoying and irritating than the Rodgers saga but here we are!

  18. Tomorrow (15th) was the date long pegged for him to be traded, so this whole thing will hopefully be done soon enough.

  19. As a blazers fan that rooted for the bucks the last two years with Dame, this is like deja vu of the dame trade talk before the mke trade. Just because he wants to go to the knicks or even the heat, doesn’t mean you have to trade him there.

  20. So Giannis wants out but he doesn’t want it to look like he wants out? cuz you can definitely tell your representative to stop pressuring to trade you off the only team you’ve ever known…

Anyway, I’ll wait until I hear something directly from Giannis

  21. This is the kind of BS that gets me. The fans aren’t dumb, we see through this. Stop trying to save face and put your big boy pants on and proceed. The breadcrumbing is tired.

  22. Giannis said Khris was a Buck for life and then Khris was traded shortly after. Giannis said he’ll stick with Dame no matter what and then Dame was traded weeks later after tearing his achilles.

  23. I’m a Giannis fan but he’s trying to have it both ways and it’s becoming a little embarrassing. His representation work for him. He can tell them to stop and just play. If he wants out he should just be direct and stop putting everyone through this agony. Btw I’m a Knicks fan and I don’t want to trade for him. Not because I don’t think he’s incredible, he is- but I don’t want to break up this team during the season.

  24. Go look at Alex Saratsis’ client list. Yeah, dude, he doesn’t tell you what to do.
