Bucks find new low point in blowout vs Brooklyn

Hey there, welcome to the Euroep, a Milwaukee Bucks podcast proudly a part of the Blue Wire Podcast Network and GPN. Uh, we’re presented by Prize Picks, our good pals. I am Ty Windish. I’m joined by the resilient Rohan Cotti. If it seems like I came up with the word quickly, someone did say we could take it we could take a day off. You know, I did someone replied to that. Someone replied to me with that when I said we’d drop a pod the day after the horrible Bucks Nets loss, which we’ll get to in a moment. And we almost did incidentally. We were like 10 minutes into an episode and I realized Rohan’s audio wasn’t working. So hopefully everyone hears Rohan. Hello. We hear you. Hopefully everyone can hear me. Let’s go. Let’s go. We had a whole thing. We were talking Philip Rivers at the start. I mean, we can do an a bridged version, but like my rude intrusive thought the whole week of this River storyline. I don’t think it matters that his Hall of Fame candidacy gets pushed back. I don’t think Philip Rivers is a Hall of Famer. He’s He’s not getting in like right there’s just too many good players. He was not nearly good enough. He was not maybe the best player on his own team during his prime with Gates and Tomlinson. Yeah, definitely not. It is. It’s a tough path for him to get in there. Yeah, I think he kind of knows that too. I feel like he’s probably seeing a lot of mid quarterback play as of late, so he’s like in five years I’ll be good. Yeah, right. Um yeah, I mean Drew Brees is up for it this year. Tory Hold hasn’t gotten in in like 12 years. It’s a real Hall of Fame. It’s not like basketball. So, um, yeah, that’s Do you think if he plays another game that he’s going to have a terrible injury? I say no because of rooting for humanity. Probably not. Um, because one, he’s like he knows the offense. He’s he got this job, I think, because he talks to the Colts coach Shane Stiken all the time because he runs Shane Stiken’s offense for his kids’ high school team. Is that more disrespectful for Shane Stiken or is it just massive respect to this football team, this high school, this group of high schoolers? I think that’s a great question. Hey, yeah, your offense is so easy. I can run at a high school level. All of these high schoolers are just really advanced. I mean, it’s Philip Rivers kid, I think, is the quarterback. And they were like really good, too. They only had one loss. So, I guess if your dad is like a however many 18-year vet, like you can probably pick up things faster. Um I It’s hilarious to me that that’s like that’s to compete for attention. Yeah. Yeah. It’s a lot of option. Might have three quarterbacks on that roster at a time uh in the Rivers family. Um, but I the whole thing is ridiculous. But I think he probably knows it well enough to get the ball out in time and he’s like he’s got a lot of extra padding if you know what I mean. Didn’t know he was going to be playing football around Thanksgiving. Like I think Phil looks like he’s been eating good. So that probably helps you, you know. Yeah, he was sacking himself out there. That’s one of the funniest plays I’ve seen in football history. Not as funny as Jaylen Herz doing two turnovers in the same play, but close. Yeah, that that’s so unfort that was really good. That was if you if you pick up a fumble that happened after you threw a pick, you got to just go down, man. You can’t you can’t just try to rectify a mistake. Have some self-awareness. Um, we did more football chat on the last one, but I I didn’t think it was the best pod content. So, I think this is probably better for our listeners, but it’s worse for us because now we have to talk about the Bucks, who lost by 45 to the Brooklyn Nets, which is the fourth worst fifth worst loss in franchise history. It’s among the worst four if you don’t count playoffs. Of course, there’s the Giannis Deck Dun Levy game where the Bucks lost by I don’t think I have it up anymore. Oh, I do 50 something. 54. That’s the only time they’ve ever lost by more than 40 in the playoffs. That your infamous breakdown game Bucks at Nets in June 2021 was 39. Oh wow. I thought that was 40. 39. And actually with Kareem on the team, they lost one by 36. Bucks at Knicks in 1970. Oh, no. Was that maybe that? No, they 70. No, that was that was Kareem. Yeah, that’s that you wouldn’t guess that. They also that’s rookie Kareem, right? One of one of their great teams in ‘ 86. They lost at Boston by 32 in one game, but obviously not a great B. Anyway, so playoffs. They had one worse. In the regular season, they’ve had three as bad or worse. It is the worst two in franchise history. We’re both in the 90s, which will probably surprise no one who remembers those days. Um, January 27th, 1990, Bucks at Jazz. They lost by 48. Remember, they went like 20 years without winning in Utah or something like that. Like, yeah, it was crazy. This was one of those. And then Bucks home against the Orlando Magic in February 20, 1995, one month after I was born, 10 years before you were born. They lost 104 to 52, 152. Uh, so two games where they lost by 48. And then the one other time they lost by 45 in addition to last night, New Year’s Eve 2007 at Pistons when Einlon was starting next to Andrew Bogat for the year Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks have not lost a game by this much regular season since E was starting for the team. And that’s how bad this team is, this current team is. They are going back to those days. That’s how I feel looking at this team. tie. I think of this as one of the worst Milwaukee Bucks teams they’ve put together. Worst we’ve covered. Oh, absolutely. Not beyond. Like, it’s This is the worst Bucks team we’ve covered uh in the seven years we’ve been doing there. Six years we’ve been doing this pod now. Seven seasons. It is disgusting. It is despicable. The Nets are a tirefire of a team. They are a tire of a franchise. and the Bucks just got absolutely embarrassed by them. Do you think anyone on that team has any shame? Doesn’t seem like it. It doesn’t. It doesn’t seem like it, does it? It really doesn’t. It doesn’t seem like anyone on that team actually genuinely cares that they are getting embarrassed because you go out there, you have a good win against a good Boston team. That was awesome. You know, that was good. And then you follow it up with an opportunity to have a winning streak, to start a winning streak when you have a bunch of teams against a bunch of games, sorry, against not great teams in the near future. Will Giannis continues to be out and you just go out there and and just embarrass yourself. They just do. Yeah, they do. They fall back to being the Hawks have been a little shaky. They did win. They were within I think two or three games of Atlanta in the lost column. Now they’re back to four back in a virtual tie with the Bulls. So, if the Bulls win another game, they will pull ahead and the Bucks will be back down to 11th. Uh, the Bucks are two ahead in the loss column of the 13th place Brooklyn Nets. Creeping up. Uh, and they are four behind Atlanta for ninth and then they get all the way up into sixth. That’s still only 11 losses. There still is a big pack of teams from nine to three, but the Bucks are right now soundly behind that group. Uh, by the way, I kind of thought the Pistons would fall off by now. A little bit more 20 and five. Still, uh, two games ahead of the Knicks for first place in the East. So, shout out to the Detroit Pistons. But literally every single team from the Celtics in three to the Cavs at eight, has lost their last game or more in a row. The Hawks have won one. So, this is like the opportunity to make up some ground. Like if you win this game, you’re within three in the loss column of eight and four games, four losses back of four. Instead, those numbers are one higher and you lose one like probably your easiest opportunity of the season. I mean, this is probably the most talent der team in the league, right? Net Nets, does anyone have worse players than them? I know they’re not the worst by the Bucks. Well, yeah, sure. Well, you know, Giannis, they’re not the worst in record. I I think Washington, you can make an argument for sure. It’s probably at least they have a good young talent. Igoran, uh, whatever it is, was looking pretty good in this game. So was everyone who played against the Bucks. Everyone except Michael Porter Jr. who that would be the one player you’re like, “Oh, they have MPJ, so they’re better than the Wizards.” MPJ was bad. Fantasy for me. That’s good. Not last night. No, I don’t I don’t think I’ve said this on this version of the pod yet. The Nets coming into this game, they had played 11 games where Michael Porter Jr. scored less than 30, which is a lot of points. They had not won a single one. 0 and 11 or 0 and 10 I think, excuse me. No, 0 and 11. And they he scored 12 on inefficient shooting and they beat the Bucks by 45. Like they needed that guy to be a superhero on offense to have a shot and he was bad and they rolled. Yep. Yep. Absolutely they did. I’m just looking through this roster, man, for this Nets team and I’m like, how does this how does this make any sense? How does it make any sense, man? They don’t even have Cam Thomas. That would be their other Their other best player you’d say is him. He was not playing. No, don’t have Haywood Highmith. Your your boy, my guy. I mean, he’s just been hurt throughout the year, so it’s not like I’m just saying. Um, but it’s you make the Nets, who by the way didn’t have their head coach, look like an absolute powerhouse of a team. You made the Nets look like they play the best. If if Aliens came down and only saw the Bucks versus the Nets, they would say, “Oh, the Nets are the most uh cohesive, well coached basketball team in the NBA.” Right. Right. They might be right. Um, their coach is good. Their coach is good enough that when he’s not even there, they look good. You know how embarrassing it is to get out coached by someone who didn’t show up? Oh, Jordy Fernandez took PTO and out coached. He had a sick day. He took a sick day. Smart of him that they didn’t need him there. Drake Powell had a great game against the Bucks. He’s a rookie who’s looked pretty bad. He’s one of their five They have five rookies, Rohan. Five rookies. Do you know how hard it is to win a game? The Nets do when you have five rookies, not against the Bucks. His career. Just play the Bucks. His careerh high in plus minus was plus 13 before this. He was a plus 31 in 23 minutes. Drake Pal had never seen an NBA game like this. Yeah, he’s been on the opposite side of it. That’s what he’s used to. That’s the only thing he’s used to is losing by a ton of points because that’s what the Brooklyn Nets do. And apparently that’s what the Milwaukee I was going to say the Bucks better get used to it too. Kyle Kosma had some quote after the game of like and he he was fine I guess but of like oh you know that’s the beauty of this league. Any team can win against any team. I was like it’s not it’s no longer surprising when you guys lose to a bad team. No it’s not. That’s all they’ve done this season is lose to bad teams. I mean they’ve lost to the Wizards, the Kings. They’ve lost to the Nets. Now Pacers are coming up and I I’ve really I don’t feel good about that game. That might be a 60point game. 60 point loss. I mean Pels and Clippers are the other two. Those are the six worst teams. And they’ve lost to the Hornets who are also pretty damn bad. So they’ve lost to three out of the four worst teams in the East. They’ve lost to one of the bottom two or three in the West. Like they might lose to all the bottom feeding teams this year. Yep. Are you surprised? I mean, if you told me before the year, yes. But based on what we’ve seen in the last month, no. All I can think about is the season. That’s literally what I was about to say is all I can think about is how this team had a four in one start and we thought they were going to be good. Yeah. You know why? Because they look good. Yeah. And what happened? I mean, Giannis has not played in a lot of these and that that is a big deal. Uh we can’t totally ignore that. also didn’t play uh Giannis didn’t play for the Brooklyn Nets either. I know. Well, that’s that’s my thing is did they go to Giannis’s new apartment in Brooklyn before the game or something? They went to the Atakon Bros popup. It must have been crazy. No one was ready to play after that. The Bucks players know there’s one right next to Fiser they could just go to if they’re really excited. I I just I don’t even know what to say. Like, so, oh, here’s what I want to say cuz I brought up the Giannis thing and it is worth remembering like they were built around Giannis. We can’t expect them to be a 45 win team in the games Y Giannis doesn’t play. I think that would be a high expectation. I think there’s teams in the league who do kind of stuff like that, but the Bucks clearly not one of them with this front office and this coaching staff. But, I think it’s fair to say this is far below even a relative like even opinion on the Bucks. not an optimist, not a pessimist, just like a cleareyed view at the Bucks. This is way below where they should be without Giannis. And not just this one game, but the whole this whole run like outside of they had the nice Pistons game where he played three minutes. They had the nice win against Boston and then the Warriors game. The first the Warriors game. Yeah. Every other one really has been pretty awful. And they get out coached in every game. Their offense looks archaic in every game. They usually don’t try on defense at all again outside of like those two games basically against Boston and Detroit. And the whole culture seems shot to be honest with you because this happens way too often. Doc’s like, “Wow, we just weren’t I didn’t have the guys ready. That’s on me.” Which is like that’s the thing. Like, okay, resign then because then they’re never ready. Like when are they going to be ready? They’re ready once every two weeks. They only play twice every week. That’s they they’ve had plenty of time off. They they I’m so glad they got those two days off earlier. I mean, they had three games off before the Raptors game. Maybe it takes three days off for the Bucks to have a good game. Luckily, that’s totally feasible in the NBA schedule, right? That’ll happen a lot, I’m sure, going forward. Definitely. This is definitely indicative of the entire season. But Doc was saying, “Yeah, we I didn’t have the guys ready. I didn’t have the guys ready for this before.” It’s it’s like Have you tried holding up a mirror to your own conversations, man? Like I know you like to talk. I know he’s good at talking. That’s why his kid has a job. He’s really good at talking. Yep. But at some point, you just got to cut through and see that this is just it’s just talk. It’s just talk. There’s nothing to it. There’s nothing of substance to it. There’s nothing of substance to anything that’s being done with this Milwaukee Bucks team right now. There’s nothing. Can you tell me one good Can you tell me one thing the Bucks are good at? Shooting. Shooting. They weren’t They weren’t in this game. Are they? They shot 23% from three. Usually they are. They were not in this game. Seven 75% free throw percentage. Sub 40% overall in this game. So, no, they weren’t good at shooting. Can you tell me anything else you think they’re good at? I don’t think so. Have They’re not They’re not good at anything. They’re not good at anything, Ty. Yeah. Well, they have no strengths. All they have is weaknesses. It’s It’s a constant battle. Every game is a constant battle of trying to plug every single hole in this sinking ship where they don’t even have plugs. They outrebounded the Nuts in the first half. Congratulations. Hang the banner. I love how it’s not even for the whole game. Not for the whole game. No, that just in the first half. It’s just it’s it’s it’s a disaster. And they only did it because the Nets just didn’t miss any shots. There were no rebounds. Oh, no. They did miss shots. Um I think in the second half they must have really been hot. Yeah. I mean it’s just like total random guys who like the Nets got paid to take on. Like Terrence man was four of six with five rebounds, three assists, two steals. And I like Terrence Man. I think he’s a fine player. But like they got paid to take his contract and he started and just like helped dominate the Bucks. Like these a lot of these guys are they got to take Michael Porter Jr. Yeah. A lot of these guys are barely in the league, dude. Tyrese Martin was five of eight. Zia Williams was four of six. Dron Sharp is four of six. Like these are players that like some Bucks fans have wanted off and on. These are not real like Yeah. Like Dron Sharp or not regular rotation players on most teams. No. No. Every single player that played for the Nets looked good. Yeah. Every single player. Is it Jegman? Yeah. Some something like that. Six of eight, two of four from deep. all three of his free throws. Must be nice. Added three rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block plus 20. 17 points in 25 minutes. Meanwhile, we’re getting, if you’re the Bucks, you’re getting uh two points from Cole Anthony on 0 for four shooting. Yeah. Uh the real I mean, Kevin Porter Jr. was bad and clearly the Bucks are just not built to withstand that. He was two of 13 in this game. Think about the sentence you just said. Can you say that again? Uh they’re not built to withstand Kevin Porter Jr. being bad. That’s a ridiculous sentence. Even though he did have seven assists and four steals in the game, but he also had six turnovers. Doc said the guards didn’t pass at all. They did combine for 12 assists. Good job, Doc. What is he going to pass to people who are just going to brick shots? I I kind of and and the guards combined the point guards Rollins and KBJ one of 10 from three. Um I don’t know. Yeah, they feel totally aimless. I feel like they at least in the Rollins no KPJ non Giannis. I feel like we at least had the Rollins stuff to look forward to, but he’s really been marginalized since KPJ came back and it just feels like the Bucks are incapable. Some of it is Rollins getting into foul trouble. Some of it is he hasn’t played as well. But I thought it would be a lot easier for those two guys to like kind of switch off being the lead guard, being the, you know, either not playing together or like even when they’re on the court together. Doesn’t feel like they found a great balance yet. That’s going to be important. Jericho Sims played 30 and a half minutes for some reason. A lot of it was the fourth quarter. I did check that. It was he played all 12 in the fourth, which is just like so random. Crazy. Doc just stopped doing subs cuz he played all 12. Anthony played all 12. And then Nance and Coffee got in for nine and a half minutes to close it out, too. Couldn’t even get TA in there. Air Coffee missed one shot and fouled once in nine and a half minutes. Sounds about right. I mean, he just At least Pete Nance gets some shots up. He also had three boards. Coffee literally does a turnover. Sorry, not a foul. Coffee just does nothing. I’m so glad we cut Tyler Smith for this. Not that Tyler Smith would have done anything, but he’s on a two-way in Houston. I mean, he was at least worth rostering, apparently. So, Chris Livingston’s on a two-way in Cleveland, like, and here’s Air Coffee, who maybe will accumulate a stat once every five games. No. And it’s so fitting that we’re doing this pod today of all days. Oh, it’s trade day. It is trade day. Bobby Port is trade eligible. Uh, actually, everyone the Bucks signed, I think, is trade eligible now. Yep. No, no extensions. uh done except green. Sorry, green, not green. Yeah, AJ Green is not trade eligible. Um but everyone KPJ uh I think Rollins, I’m not sure. Trent, I think Rollins because his his rights were rescended and then he resigned. So yeah. Uh right. Cole Anthony, Gary Harris, Bobby Poris, uh and Amir Coffee. Yep. The entire roster outside of AJ Green is trade eligible. Dasis. Yep. So yeah, it was just Cuz for like a long time and now it’s everyone else. Yeah. And a lot of people around the league, too. Uh I think we’ll we can share more thoughts on this game after a quick break and then yeah, we could talk about there’s been some troubling recent rumors that we’ll have to address and I don’t know what else we’ll have to we’ll have to fill some space. We’ll see. Uh but in the meantime, never feels like filling space. We’re talking about prize picks. our number one partner here on the podcast besides each other. This episode is brought to you by Prize Picks. Rohan and I and the bug and Doc Rivers make decisions every day. But on Prize Picks, being right can get you paid. And I bet you can be right more than the group of three names I just stated. Don’t miss any of the excitement this basketball season on prize picks where it’s good to be right. Rohan and I have been playing, I mean, for multiple years now, but all season long. We’ve had a lot of fun, had some nice wins. We’ve both, I think, been favoring the flex plays a little bit more because there’s just a little bit of margin there. And as we’ve seen with the pro team we cover, things aren’t always perfect and getting yourself a little extra margin uh can be nice. So, it’s simple to play prize picks though, flex or power play cuz all you do is pick more or less on at least two player stats and if you get your picks right, you can cash in. It’s that simple. You can get in on the action on basketball or football or any other sport you want. Hockey. Uh there’s some crazy trade that broke in hockey. I don’t know anything about, but congratulations to all involved. Uh, and you can do that in more than 40 states, including Wisconsin. And they offer stacks, so you can pick the same player up to three times in the same lineup. Do you want to pick less on Jericho Sims? Points, rebounds, and assists. I don’t know if all three of those will be on prize picks. I don’t know if he accumulates enough of those things, but if they are, you can pick them all in the same lineup only on prize picks. And in this horrible weekend for injuries across sports, it’s worth noting that Prize Pix does offer injury reboots. If one of your players leaves the game in the first half and does not return, Prize Pick will not count that as a loss, which is very nice. So download the Prize Pix app today and use code Euroep to get $50 when you play $5 for the first time, win or lose. That’s code Euroep and you get $50 in lineups when you play $5, even if you lose that first $5 play. Sign up today at prize pickics where it is good to be right. Um I I I don’t know if I have much more from this game. It was one where I didn’t get too mad at any individual player. Um it was just a collective, right? It seemed like a collective failure. I mean Gary looked good. Gary looked good. We didn’t give him an up because no one was pathetic game. Yeah. Yeah. I thought actually Cuz had a pretty good game. The stats aren’t there but like he’s been efficient. He had seven boards and three assists. It’s so unfortunate because on like let’s say they win this game by like at least like 10 points or five points or something. Yeah, we’re we’re going crazy about Kuzza’s 31 point game against Boston. Yeah. You know, we’re we’re we’re talking about that, but I can’t get the stench of this game out of my head. No, this you couldn’t give an upscal about that good uh Charlotte Boston game. No, because it was just so bad because it was an show. Yeah, it shows exactly that that is not the state of this team. This is the state of the team. This is the state of a team. They are a train wreck tie. They are bad. They are headed for nothing. And I don’t see a fix. Yeah. Yeah, I mean I I had some people know like they had bad losses in the Bud era, too. Like this is again, this is literally one of the worst five losses in franchise history. This is Bud never had a loss like this. Nope. He had some in the high30s, but never never like this. And especially given the opponent that this is Yeah. the opponent and this is happening. This is a pattern of losing to bad teams. Yeah. And and like all of these games are crucially important. Like I think the worst Bucks Bud lost in his tenure was like um at Miami. Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I think at Miami was up there in the at least in the regular season. That one was pretty bad too. Um but yeah, it was I don’t know. I don’t have it up in front of me now, but just bad. But like but my Miami is a lot better than freaking the Nets. You know what I mean? Like the the worst one, the 48 one was against Shaq who had 30 and 12. Like there was no Shaq on the other side of this game. No, they weren’t they weren’t losing to like the Igor Yemen Zire Williams le Brooklyn Nets. They had a 42er at Miami and they had a 41 versus Boston and then that Memphis game we always talk about right before the break was 41 as well. So that was close to this bad but wasn’t as bad. But it’s like the Jimmy Butler Heat, the Jays, Celtics, you know, and then the Grizzlies who were, I think, really good that year with Jaw and everyone back when they were healthy. And this is the Nets. Yep. Oh, and then I believe is that next one? Is that the game that got Adrien Griffin fired? 40 at Cleveland. Yes, it is. This is That’s what I I’m glad you brought this up because this is a fireable game. If there was any game, it should be this one. And if it’s not, then you know what this team what the front office thinks about this team is that they are planning to go nowhere. If they were planning on going anywhere, you’re firing Doc immediately, right? That’s that’s what makes sense. I mean, yeah, this is the kind of game that that you would do that for. Uh that was a Giannis game, too, funny enough. I want you to guess the player who played the most minutes off the bench for the Bucks in that 40point loss to the Cavs. January 17, 2024. Bob. Not Bob. Um, no, he was second. Bob was probably starting. No, no, he was second. The starters, I’ll help you. The starters, Damen Lillard, Malik Beasley, Andre Jackson Jr., Chris Middleton, Brook Lopez. God, Chris had two points in 20 minutes. Bees had two points in 22 minutes. Ajax had six points in 23 minutes. I don’t know. Sergea. Mojan Bochamp. Oh boy. who had zero points in 23 minutes. 23 minutes is wild. Oh my god. Uh AJ Green only played 13 minutes in that game. No, now things have changed. Yeah. Well, he played zero in this one. He would have helped too. He was He, by the way, kind of concerning that he went from questionable to immediately out for this one now that it’s been a shoulder. What is it? AC joint sprain instead of contusion. Um, we’ll see when he’s back. They don’t have many games, so hopefully he doesn’t miss too many more, but that’s not a good sign. No, not a good sign at all. Do you think Doc gets fired? Uh, probably not now for this one. I mean, we’re I mean, I guess it could still happen. They do have a lot It’d have to be today. It’d have to be today, I think. Yeah, it would have to be Monday the 15th as it as we’re recording this for it to actually happen. I’ve told it they thought it might happen last week, but it didn’t. I didn’t really I I keep circling I don’t know why but that Pacers game I I think if they go to India and get blown out I think that’s more organizationally embarrassing even than this because of the history there. Yeah. Uh and I really do I don’t know why every time I look at that game I’m just like and he’s going to smoke the Bucks in that game. I mean even with Giannis they needed a Giannis buzzer beater to beat him this year. Yeah. And Pacers are healthier and better than they were at that point. Although they did just lose by nine of 19 of the whiz, so maybe not that much better. Like the Raptors game. I I have no confidence in the Raptors game now, even though they’ve been struggling. Nope. I have no confidence in any game. That Sunday told us that’s what this told us is you have you can have zero faith that the Bucks are going to be able to win a basketball game this season. That’s what So that’s it’s not until next Tuesday the 23rd. That’s the Pacers game. Until then, they have Raptors on Thursday. I hope they fired Doc on Christmas. It would be Christmas Eve probably, which would be kind of crazy. That would be like that would be like when that happens in history, they’d call it like the Christmas Eve massacre or something. You know what I mean? They always play up if something happens on like a date like that, they always make it more. So, that’s what we’ll call it if that happens because 45 assistant coaches, if any of them go, it will be like a a massacre. But, uh just in their firing, of course. But so it’s Raptors home Thursday. Another complete must-win, which means they will blow it at Wolves Sunday. No one expects them to win. I feel like they’ll probably be in that one and then lose late somehow because the Wolves are just so shaky on offense. And then it’s the next Tuesday at Pacers, which is part of a five-game road trip that we tried to be optimistic about on the last pod and I am no longer optimistic about. Well, they’re what, three and nine on the road this season now. They just can’t win any road games. I was going to say I don’t think we factored that in or at least I didn’t factor that in enough. They are 8-7 at home, three and nine on the road, which is the worst record of any Eastern team on the road besides Indiana and Washington who have combined to win 10 games. Yep. In 50 tries. That’s just despicable, man. At what point do you pull the plug in this season? I What does that mean, though? What can you do? I mean, not not be in games anymore. That’s what they do. They So, they did it. Yeah, that’s true. Maybe they already have. Pulled the plug. They’re We’re sitting at 12th in lotto odds, by the way. What What seems like a good path forward? How about this? I’m not even going to phrase it like that. What seems like a likely path forward based on the So, that’s a more depressing. So, let’s talk about it. Um, they are keeping tabs on Zack Lavine. Yeah. Which is just hugely concerning to me. Yes, they could have used another scorer in this game when KBJ and to a lesser extent Rollins were not good, but on the whole this year guard scoring has just not been their biggest issue. And given the build like the makeup of this team like what five starts if you trade for Zack Lavine. So, it’s either the guards Lavine Giannis Turner if hopefully or one of the the KPJ Green Lavine Giannis Turner, which like who’s who’s guarding anyone in that lineup? No one. Like, who’s has to go in this in this deal, which is actually bad. Yeah. It’s like you and I were talking about this the other day. It’s like I wouldn’t trade Kuzzma for a lot of guys. He’s like their only productive wing. He’s their wing. He’s the wing. You can’t trade him and not get back away. Zack Lavine is not a wing player. He’s a two. No, he’s not. I mean, maybe over there he is. Also, I looked this up. It may be different now cuz they were so bad against the Nets, but going into that game, there was like one point difference in offensive rating between the Bucks with Giannis off and the Kings with Lavine on. So, we’re acquiring a $47 million player to get a marginal improvement of the offense with Yiannis off. And by the way, this like, oh, but he could play with Yiannis. Yeah, because if Giannis doesn’t want to set screens for freaking Damen Lillard, I’m sure he’s going to play like, you know, DeAndre Jordan for Zack Lavine, who’s not even like a deaf pick and roll guy. Really? No. No, he’s not. I just I don’t I think that’s a panic trade. 100% that’s a panic trade, but that’s all they do is panic moves. Doc Rivers is the coach. Yeah, that’s true. Could have had Kenny Atinson could have just wrote it out with Adrien Griffin. Jody Fernandez, who doesn’t even have to show up to do better. Yeah, Jody could have worked from home and done better. Jordy just zooms him once a week and goes, “Let’s do this.” Tom Green works from home and does better. Literally, he does two jobs, three jobs. I think he does Wolves broadcast, too. He just pops up. At least he was at one point this year. He just pops up. He’s like, “This is wrong. This is wrong. This is wrong. I gotta go now.” At least they’re like, “Thanks, Tom.” Yeah. Thanks. I The best part about the Well, no, the game was actually awesome. But one of the best parts about Boston Celtics, which I don’t think we’ve talked about yet, is basically they just had like a pod in the first half. It was just Creed and Wes. Lisa is trying to talk and then they’re just like keep talking about the good old days and what they love about defense. Honestly, I was like, “This is sick, dude. This is awesome. This is awesome. They should do that. They got to do this more.” Wes Matthews and Tom Green coming to the pod. Yeah, please. Um, I think if there’s there’s two routes, it could be, you know, panic big trade for a big contract or you could do like those trades we talked about last week where it’s like what would you include for the first like a Herb Jones, Trey Murphy type of deal or like a Wiggins or something like that? Isn’t it funny how one game later I’m like, “Oh god, I don’t really feel great about trading the first for Herb anymore.” You know what I I think Herb Jones would add 50 in this game against the Bucks. Yeah, probably. Yeah, for the Bucks, it’s a 0 for or one for seven three-point performance. Uh cuz that’s just what that’s Doc Rivers basketball, baby. Uh so what feels more likely, a panic big contract trade like that or more of a scaled down version or just not not anything? They’re going to do something like I just think and this is why I think the doc conversation keeps coming up. Although the Bucks have shown no inclination of getting rid of Doc because he’s still here and the results have been pretty terrible. They have all these excuses they can point to, but it’s it’s been underwhelming for sure. It’s been underwhelming. Uh there’s the money part of it too with Doc, but the pressure just ramps up to a certain point when you’re this far below expectations that you’ve got to do something, especially with Giannis still here and all the stuff about Giannis still going on. And there’s like another conflicting report every day. I don’t even care anymore. Like wake me up when something happens. The That’s where I’m at, too. I will say the ones that I think are worth at least a little time on the pod. We can do it after. We can do this for It’s kind of tied together. I kind of think it does depend a little bit on Giannis and what vibes he’s given off that maybe aren’t even being reported but like when the front Doc apparently talks to him every day which like try to talk about driving a guy away. Um, but like if Giannis is like, “Come on, like we got to salvage this season.” Like, you know, just do it. Like I could I would not be shocked at all if they sent a first in some stupid trade for a Lavine or someone of that ilk. And I think it would be a horrible move. And I think if they send a first for him, it’s just going to set the franchise back so far because as we talked about previously, you can’t get the extension right after anymore. We’ve got to see the results. And like would would Giannis extend if he had if he had to decide after the first year with Dame? Probably not. He extended on the promise of it, right, of like, oh my god, we got Dame. This is going to be sick. It wasn’t that sick. It was that is one way to describe it. It was not that sick at any point. There was like three good moments throughout the whole thing that were sick. Most of it not sick at all. Um, and there were the injuries. Maybe he still would have, but like that’s the whole thing of like the moves didn’t have to necessarily work the last couple times. They just had to happen. Now it has to work. Giannis can’t extend because of the CBA today if they go get Zack Lavine. So now we get to watch Zack Lavine and the Bucks. And without Giannis, I don’t have a lot of faith that they’re going to be able to do any of the things they can’t do now. I actually have no faith. They’d actually be a worse rebounding and defensive team with Zack Lavine, without Koosma. Correct. They would. It’d be really funny. Although Bob goes too, so like, you know, maybe some bad there. It’d be really funny if this was the one trade that works. I mean, Drew worked. Yeah. But yeah, the one trade that worked since Drew basically seems true. I guess I guess the Koozma trade worked. AJ Johnson doesn’t play there. Chris is struggling to stay upright like kind of sneakily aging kind of well. It is, isn’t it? Did they get a pick in that deal? They got a second. They got uh um Bogleub. Oh yeah, they got Marovich. Yeah. Yeah, they got Bogley for that. But they did give up a They double mortgage to 28 swap as well. Yeah. What What’s What’s Bogey got? He’s having a nice season. He’s having a nice season at Serbia. Bring Bogey over. See what happens. Can you bring him over mid-season? Uh that might be tricky with the club. You know what I mean? I think it is. Yeah. He wanted to play though. I mean he wants to come over. So I’d cut a mere coffee for him right now. Yeah. Just like let’s try that. I mean, if we’ll know if they’re tanking if they say we’re going to give Bogle Yub 20 minutes a game. Who knows? It might work out. It worked out for the Nets to give a give these random rookies. Poor Pete Nance, though. Always the two-way, never the bride, right? Yeah. I’d cut a mirror coffee for Pete Nance. I mean, you could just play Pete Nance first. Like, let’s see. You didn’t have a good game. Like, give him a real shot. You know what I mean? You know, I heard Nem too bad. Yeah, I saw I saw them over the weekend. Oh, I’ve got a I’ve got to put up I’ll probably put it at the end of this pod. I’ve got an interview with Dennis Smith Jr. and Johnny Davis. I asked Dennis Smith Jr. about the JCole shout out and it was a really cool answer. So, uh stay tuned for that. Um what was I saying? Nance or Boglio? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like what it it doesn’t By the way, look at where we’re at now. I know, right? That’s like like look at where we’re at. We need Pete Vance. We have more We have more self-awareness on this podcast than Doc Rivers does. Yeah. Certainly than the Bucks do. Yeah. It’s crazy to me. It’s absolutely insane to me. I keep seeing notifications. I keep waiting for like something to happen, but I don’t know if it will. I know, right? I keep I to answer the the question I asked you, I do think it’s a panic trade that’s incoming. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I do think it’s a panic trade. Unless unless Giannis actually put like they won’t obviously they won’t do it if Giannis is like I want to go. That’s the only scenario where I think they probably don’t make a or here’s the third one and I think this is the least likely. I think it’s more likely Yiannis leaves than this. But this would be the best one for the Bucks long term which I think was going to be your original question. If Giannis goes to them and is like, “Yeah, I get it. Like it’s not this not our year. Uh I’ll take it easy the rest of the way. We’ve got this pick coming. We’ve got more tradable picks. like play the young guys and like let’s go for it next year. Like we’ll fine, we’ll do the gap year. Like we have no choice now in part because of my injuries. Yeah, I think that’s the least realistic. That would be the best for them long term for sure. I was going to say that’s probably the most beneficial 100%. It’s definitely You’re done. You’re not doing anything this year. Yeah. I mean, your best case right now is realistically like playin team. Yeah. Or like That’s not true though. I mean, they’re five seed, six seed over five seed, right? That’s best case scenario. Like, they’re still not out of it. This one loss is terrible, but they’re still not out of it. But I don’t think they have a ceiling as a team that Yeah. They haven’t showed they haven’t showed us that they can play well enough to be in it. That’s the problem. They can’t They haven’t shown us they can win basketball games. No. Well, they started four and one and now they’re seven. Seven and 15 cents. Yep. Just a bad team. Yeah. So, I think that would be the most beneficial path forward, but it’s definitely not the path they’re going to take. Most likely. It’d be awesome if they did. Yeah. Giannis less minutes, shut him down for the season. Something like that. He can go do pop-up stores in every single city he’s thinking about going to. That’d be funny. It’d be really funny, honestly. Just like a tour to Giannis. Can they just go let him play in Greece for the rest of the year? Yeah. doesn’t he is like part owner of a club or Oh, that’s something he wants to do. I don’t know. Yeah, I think that’s something he wants to do. Um maybe he can go explore that. Go buy a club and play through them a little bit. Do some more Twitch streams? Yeah, go travel the word world with speed, I guess. Him and him and Rondo can both be part-time. He’ll just come and play like once every week. That’s fine. Yeah, just show proof of life, Yiannis, and we’re good. He wanted to play for Marquette. He could play for Marquette. They could use him. Oh man, they could Let’s do that. Give loan to Marquette. See if like could they right now make the tournament if Giannis played for them after getting healthy? Absolutely. Because they’re not losing a game again. Are they already too far back though? They’re not too far back. But if you win your conference tournament, you’re always in, right? Yeah, you’re in anyway. Okay. Yeah, that’d be the best possible outcome for you. Yeah. The Wisconsin fans watching this just like, come on, dude. Good. Honestly, they should suffer. Uh they have a football program. They’ve suffered a lot recently. Rohan. Yeah, I know. Um so yeah, I mean the Lavine thing like I don’t know. I’ve been thinking about this. I mean I guess if it’s an extreme buy low, I said I would do a nuclear meltdown if they made this trade. If there’s no picks, I probably won’t do a nuclear meltdown. But I still think it’s stupid. It’s still stupid. It’s still so stupid. you’re you’re ruining your team. You’re ruining your franchise if you do that honestly for a franchise that already doesn’t look great cuz then you’re tied you’re more money for next year when you’re already not enough cap and it’s just like all your players overlap so much besides Giannis and I mean I doc’s Turner like ranked 10th on the team but we can put him aside for now. Your best players out then would be Lavine in some order Kevin Porter Jr. Ryan Rollins, AJ Green, like those guys do not really fit well together. They fit okay together, but certainly not all four of them. Yep. Well, then you go and trade someone else, right? You trade Kevin Porter Jr. for someone else. He has some trade value now, I’m assuming. Yeah. Maybe you get a first for him. You get some a bad first for him. Yeah. You don’t resign Green. You go back on the alleged deal. They already They already did it. I meant Gary Trent. I don’t know why I said AJ Green. I can’t go back. No. Takes his back seats on that now. No, no, no, no. We’re We’re trying to get We’re trying to keep AJ Green. Yeah. Um I should just call him I mean that that’s already over, I think. I should call him I should call him Gren. Grant. Because there’s Garris. Garris and Gren. Garris and Gren. It’s like a uh what is it? Um, the brothers grim characters. They’re like baking people alive. They sound scary. Garris and Gren. You don’t want to be visited at night by Garris and Grant. No. So, you don’t resign Gren. And you’re you’re just you you free up some minutes with the two. If he wants to, you don’t have a choice. Everyone has a player option. Oh, I forgot he’s a player option. Carrison Gren with the player options. It’s a John Horse Nightmare Fairy Tale. TP’s opting in, you know, like every everyone’s back. TP’s definitely opting in, right? Yeah. I mean, I would imag I I I don’t know if he’ll be ready yet to play even by then. I mean, it seems very serious. Um or certainly like I don’t I don’t know get a better contract anywhere else. I guess we’ll see. You never know. But yeah, if I had to guess right now, I’d bet he’s opting in. Yeah. Yes. Because he might not be playing basketball. Yeah. Which is very It’s very sad. It’s sad. Yeah. Get hope hope everything’s going well there, but it’s very early for him. Cole Anthony doesn’t have a player option, does he? I hope not. Let me look. I think he actually doesn’t. I think he actually doesn’t. Hopefully. Doesn’t sound like he I I don’t I feel like I would remember if Cole Anthony had the player option. I think Sims does, which is probably the funniest one. No, the funniest one is Gary Harris. Cole Anthony does not. Coffee does not. Let’s go. They did one, right? Somehow The Nasis doesn’t. But Trent, Harris, Prince, Sims, and KPJ all have player options. Awesome. And then Ajax has a non-g guaranteed team option, which they’ll probably just keep him around and never play him for another whole year. Yeah. Hey, at least he played in this Nets game for a little bit. What was he? One of six. He was one of six. He took five threes. You know what? I’m not even that mad at him, dude. I’ve got a full screen Culver’s ad just fighting me on spo track right now. Not cool. It just kept opening. They really want you to eat culver. Well, I do too, but I can’t right now in the middle of a podcast. That’s true. Um, and I’m just thinking like all of this comes back to that Lavine trade. You’re You still can’t really do anything even if you do that Lavine trade. Well, yeah. I mean, then you’re because you’ve traded a first. You can’t trade multiple first. Well, again, that’s the thing. If it doesn’t cost a first though, I’m just kind like I I guess just try it. But we’ve talked about so much like half court offense has not been their issue. No, it’s not. I mean, he’s he’s a fast theoretically explosive player. More explosive than most of this Bucks team, I will say. For sure. Yeah. But it just doesn’t fit any area of need. It just doesn’t. He’s a big name. He won a few dunk contests. Like, good job. He’s Zack Lavine. He’s not like the pro like a star basketball player. Not anymore. No, I don’t think he ever was. He was like a light star player for the Bulls like two years ago. He there was a chance I was like, “Oh, maybe this is the Zack Lavine year.” Yeah. And it just never materialized fully. I think my issue my issue with the team is I mean could they use Zack Lavine right now with Giannis out? Yeah. I think he would help more like he’s probably less likely to have an off night than KPJ or Rollins. He’d have more insurance. But my problem is still thinking about the 17 Giannis games where they’re nine and eight in those games and that was the team that was like number one in effective field goal and still just couldn’t they were 500 and again you’re getting worse at your weaknesses in that version of the team. So like you’re trading for Lavine like is it really to maximize with Giannis or is it we need someone right we need to do something we need someone right now. We don’t know when Giannis is going to it’s like going to be at least another two more weeks probably before Giannis is back. Yeah, it’s concerning. It’s It’s very I just don’t see a good path forward. And then so the honest rumors that I I hinted at earlier, more teams and we’ll see how this really shakes out, but at least now when he’s not even available officially yet, kind of opting out. I think there was the Spurs and the Rockets were one This was probably Mark Stein. Yeah, the Spurs and Rockets kind of both saying like, yeah, like thanks but no thanks. They weren’t offered. Well, yeah, we Thunder, of course. Thunder lost that cup. Maybe they should get him. Maybe they should send 45 first and Jada. The I’m telling you, the cup means something. The cup means something. Wemby’s going to win the cup. And it’s going to be LeBron, Giannis, and Wemby, the three players who won the cup. And you’re going to say the cup is meaningless. Be realistic. You hang a banner for the cup. I mean, I do think like a stat or whatever like an accomplishment. If you look at the list of names who did it, it does tell you a lot about it. It does like it’s you have to be a psycho to lock in. A non-serious team has never won the cup. No. So, the Thunder Rockets They’re like, “Oh, we won’t do it because we’re young and we have and like for the and like watching that Spurs game, I get it. Oh, I totally get it for the Spurs. Uh, and I get it for the Thunder. The Rockets are the one where I’m like, “Do you really feel that way?” Because you did just acquire old man Kevin Durant. Yeah. They’re like, “We can’t we can’t do it twice.” They just like They just watched Spurs Thunder and they’re like, “Yeah, thanks for coming, Katie. We’re going to have some fun, but we might not be serious right now.” Yeah. I don’t know, though. I I don’t know. I don’t think they’re built to be as good for long as those two teams either. But that that’s bad news for the Bucks if the Rockets are out because then we’re just running out of teams. Yeah. Then there’s like one good or maybe it’s good news for the Bucks. Well, no, because you want more biders. Well, now if you’re running out of teams, then maybe Oh, yeah. Yeah. In that sense. Yeah, for sure. It’s It’s good. It’s bad though. If he decides like I just want to go somewhere, then it’s bad. It’s like when AD was like, I’ll play for 29 other teams. Yeah. Um, there’s some Miami buzz recently that is a little concerning. I think that team would suck because it they don’t want to send Bam. Bam’s like their guy, but it’s just like what? Giannis and Bam are your two best. That’s kind of weird. Yep. You be getting Hero and Wear in that deal. Yeah. And probably Yakz and Yakushunis. So you get like some guys or Hakez. Haime Hakez. Yeah. And maybe Yoic. I think there’s got to be a lot of salary that goes in. So like you get some young players with the picks thing. I just I I couldn’t pull the trigger on that one if I was John Horst. No, you just can’t because of the Rosier thing where they they both got jobbed and made a horrible trade. Yeah. But it is crazy that the NBA apparently said they’re like, “Can we trade Rosir?” And the NBA is like, “Try it and we’ll see.” That’s insane. That’s actually insane. That’s unfair. That is an unfair opinion. It is unfair for someone who does not like the Miami Heat. The Miami Heat are in a bad spot and it’s the NBA’s fault. I I do I mean I will though say they still traded for a guy who sucks. Yeah, they didn’t trade. I don’t think they should get their pick back. No, they made that trade fully knowing that Terry Rosier sucks, right? They didn’t know about the gambling thing, but that that’s not the reason he’s on. He’s just really bad for them and was bad. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So now they’re like, “Oh, it’s the gambling thing.” That’s right. No, he was like, “You made a bad trade. You got to own that with the pick. And like what are you doing?” Like taking that pick away from Charlotte. Yeah. Like Charlotte got Charlotte fleeced you. I mean, Charlotte might have scammed you though. Is it like So like I kind of if Charlotte knew about the investigation and the Charlotte like everyone’s like, “We keep asking Charlotte knew about the investigation. That means the NBA knows about the investigation though and they still let that trade happen.” Well, yeah. That’s why the NBA is not doing anything about it. Yeah. They Charlotte clearly knew because people keep asking Charlotte and everyone like Zach’s like Charlotte just won’t say anything. That means they knew. Yeah, absolutely. Obviously. They’re like, “Hey, Pat Riley, you want to you want to make a drink?” Who whoever in life has been totally innocent and is like, “No comment.” Well, let’s not say that. Not in court. Yes. Okay. I mean, this is NBA, you know what I mean? It’s not But you know, like, come on. It looks bad for Charlotte. It looks bad. Yeah. Uh what was I about to say? I forget. Um but that’s the Heat the Heat thing. So you get all these young guys and so then it’s just Atlanta and New York. I mean the Heat offer is better than the Knicks offer. Yeah. But then you’re left with Atlanta as the best offer. Oh yeah. I mean same Johnson what? He put up four straight triple doubles. Yeah. Youngest first person to do that um as young or something before their something birthday. I just got an NBA notification about it. Uh since like I saw Magic in the same vein and I was like oo excited from from Eric name just now. It’s not news. It’s just I think you’ll enjoy. Sorry. Post game Doc Rivers said during the game he heard one of the players say man we’re down that much to this team and he replied this team? What about our team? We’re 11 and 16. What are you talking about? Like you’re right, but also like like yeah, we’re really bad. We’re bad too, buddy. Like I don’t know. I wonder who this was. Uh I’m going to say Cuz I’m going to say Cuz the one who was actually acting serious. No, cuz he had the quote he had the quote after the game that basically said the same thing. Or maybe he heard that and said it. Maybe. By the way, the the stat was Jaylen Johnson becomes third player to record four straight triple doubles before turning 24 years old, joining Magic and Oscar. I like the other version where you said he did it did a certain amount before sometime with some other guys. Have you seen Have you seen the new Knives Out movie? No, I should. Yeah, I like that. It’s really good. Does it still have um uh what’s his name as the main character? Daniel Craig. Yeah. Yeah. Is he still doing that ridiculous accent? Yes, of course. Okay, I’ll watch it. I love that. It’s a really good movie. I won’t say specifically who said it or what it was, but those who have seen it know that there’s a specific line read by Jeremy Rener that reads exactly like I just Nice. I’ll be looking forward to that. Something something to look forward to. Yeah, something to look forward to in these trying times. Bucks. Yeah. I mean, like, how about this? Like what do they and it sounds stupid to ask cuz I think it’s honestly just like play harder and better and have a better coaching scheme, philosophy, everything. But like what do they do now? You have to reinvent yourself as a basketball team cuz the current version of you sucks. You suck. You know, it’s like you you go through a bad breakup and you’re like, “What’s wrong with me?” You know, and and then you’re like, “Oh, I actually I’m the worst.” This is not a true story, by the way. I’m not I’m not telling a story about myself. Rohan said, “I imagine what that’s like, but I have no idea. I’m pretty great.” But other people other people have had this experience. That’s incredible. And it’s like you have to look yourself in the mirror and say, you know what, I have to change who I am as a person to actually be, you know, in a happy, healthy relationship. Just Rohan going full OJ if I did it here. I love this analogy. You have to you have to do that. That’s what the Bucks need. to alleged someone has to people if it hasn’t worked out for this long you are the problem. I do agree with that. Like the Bucks have to realize that they are the problem. Every single person needs to look at themselves and say you know what’s crazy. I was about to say something and I’m like you tell me that like six months ago and I laughed at you and I was like every single person except maybe Kyle Kosma has to look at themselves in the mirror and say I need to completely change who I am as a basketball player. who’s still not taking Midies even with everything going on around him. He He is the one person who’s bought in. He’s playing seriously. Yeah, it’s insane. I know. And then So, how funny would be if then they trade him? It’s It would be It would be very fitting, man. Yeah. Kyle Kosma being one of my biggest bright spots of the season was not in my bingo card. No. And it’s crazy. It’s It’s absolutely insane. But yeah, he’s playing exactly how he I remember we did our rotation pod or whatever before and we were like, “God, it’d be so much easier if this guy just wasn’t on the team.” And if he wasn’t We were trying to put him out of the rotation. Yeah, that was that was dumb. And credit to him, man. He’s really done it. He has. Absolute credit to him. Everyone everyone else I’m taking credit away from you. Yeah. Yoink. Like if I ever gave you credit, it’s gone. Every single person. No one’s exempt from it. Even TA. Yeah. That’s how you know I’m serious. I’m taking credit away from TA. He didn’t have his head in the game today. No, he didn’t. Working the popup. Yeah. Yeah. Working the popup. Thinking about becoming a landlord. Like it’s crazy. Do you think he went in on Jiannis bought a bought a Jeep? Everyone was psyched to see that. Jeep where? In Glendale or something. Yeah, but he also bought an apartment in Shwood, but he also bought a building in New York. Yes, he did. Which one? Which one’s more value? Every Yeah. Right. Every single thing though, it’s like one he’s staying one. I didn’t I didn’t know he bought one a short one. Yeah, he bought a one from Pat, which is probably like Of course. I mean, Pat’s business has a lot of stuff going on that might be doing a favor for telling me this a real story. I’m pretty I’m like 90% sure. Let me Google it to make sure. It’s where we’re at. Tide you championship winning teams. And now we’re talking about Gianniso buying a property in Shorewood from Pat Conetan. That’s where we’re at. Uh yeah, Giannis Tedakupo’s family company bought Shorewood apartment building sold by Pat Conidan’s real estate development firm. The Atwater Oh, it was the Atwater, I think. So, I don’t know. Or was that something that might have just cut off? Uh but yeah, I’m just Yeah, it was the Atwater. I’m just having a crisis now. Yeah. So is that like he did Pat a favor? Box news for us. This is box news for us. Ty he bought a Jeep. He’s staying as if a Jeep is like bought like a $13 million apartment in Brooklyn or something. Oh, I just I had the number. Hold on. Let me pull How much was the Shorewood one? We can compare and see how in Audi is based on the dollars. Uh 11.75 million. You know what? That’s actually pretty comparable. Yeah, he’s the Jeep puts it over the top. No, I don’t think the Jeep is worth $100. Well, maybe actually in today’s today’s economy. Yeah. The average cost of a car is like 50 something thousand now. Yeah. So, yeah, pretty again. He can’t decide. Is it going to be a is some Brooklyn car dealer going to post that he bought a Jeep there next? You know what? That would be perfect. You should just start doing one of everything in a tentacumbo’s popup Milwaukee. He’s got the full-time store, but yeah. So, he’s a store in both places, real estate in both places. He’s got to buy a Brooklyn Jeep now. Yeah, he should get and I’m saying he needs to do a tour. He needs to do multiple cities. He needs to do Atlanta. He needs to do San Antonio. He needs to do Houston. Those are the cities he needs. They’re going to They’re going to Indiana. The Buck goes a long way in Indiana. That’s that it’ll be concerning if he buys something in Indiana this next week. I think Giannis is way too much pride. Minnesota. Minnesota. No. I don’t know, man. This is just sad. Yeah, I just I feel like I don’t even have to remember when we covered we were we were up we we used to cover a great basketball team and now we do this. Remember before last playoffs we had freaking Marcus Johnson on? We all said Bucks and six. That was awesome. It’s all been downhill since then. It’s been absolutely downhill. Not the pod, but like just the team. Yeah, it’s just been it’s been annoy. I mean, you can’t get much better than Marcus. No. Uh, but it’s just been bad. It’s been bad and I I hate it. I hope some news happen. I love doing I don’t even know. I don’t even know what our second pod is going to be this week. So, they don’t play until Thursday. Kind of needs something to happen. I love how the Bucks decided to just just fall off the wagon when we were like, “Hey, we’re going to give more content, right?” And we’re still going to Yeah, we’ll figure something out. We always do. We’re good at talking. Uh, should we do our Eastern Conference player of the week? It’s kind of a slam dunk this week. Yeah, it probably is. I pulled it up while we were talking. I hadn’t looked before, but uh, Jaylen Brunson was 2 and 0 and a average 37 and a half points per game plus six assists. Nobody else was 2 and 0 who averaged more than Towns 21 points per game. Yeah. So, it’s going to be one of the Knicks. And I assume the Knicks were the only 2 and 0 team. Yeah. Brunson 37 and a half. Yeah. I think pretty opening shot. Yeah, I’m saying Bronson for sure. Yeah, definitely bronze to Khan. I was going to say maybe they give it to Khan. If he was two and0 maybe, but one and one I I think they they do love winning which I lost a point for not believing enough in that. But Khan 31 points per game on 57 42 100 splits, six and a half boards, six assists per game. I was a little worried that Khan would just be like not quite athletic enough to really be a factor, but Khan’s been great. Happy. He’s been awesome. Yeah. I’m happy for Andrew Snyder specifically. They needed a win. H Now, if if this were the Bucks, they’d be drafting a Canipple every other year for like the next decade. They’d be signing the other ones that are already out there. I think he’s the oldest. I think they’ll just be drafted every year. A new Canipple. I was I was watching uh Sunday NFL countdown yesterday and they were doing like a little feature story on Drake May. Do you know what a Drake May uh do you know his brother plays basketball overseas in Japan? Uh I do cuz I covered him when he was with the herd. Oh my god, you did. Luke May in North Carolina. I forgot about that. Yeah. Oh my god. Yeah. So I was very aware and they kind of look alike too. When I saw Drake May I was like, “Oh wow.” I completely forgot about that because that was what three years ago. Yeah, just about. Yeah, I think he was a champion. I want something like Luke May was a very a very noted college player, too. I think Drake May is also a hooper, but clearly he’s better at football. Yeah. Wow. Yeah, I’m glad I brought that up. I bet he’s I bet Luke Bay is dominating in Japan right now. I bet he’s also though kind of like probably should have thrown the pig skin a little more. Maybe I should They’re signing Philip Rivers. You can do anything. Yeah, maybe he’ll Could you imagine the backup quarterback ends up being Luke May? I think he’s too tall. He’s pretty tall. He is tall. That’d be so funny. They should start doing things like that in the in the NFL. They do it with coaches. Why not? You can’t do it with players, right? Luke May is 68. He’s now 28. He did win the He won the championship in 2017. How old is Drake May? 6’4. So, yeah. How old is Drake B? Oh, sorry. How tall is this? My bad. Imagine like I was going to say like if if Oh, imagine the Chiefs Jackson Mahomes to be the back. Um, well, they’re going to need somebody. Um, unfortunately. Yeah. Appar Hey, if you want good news, apparently uh Christian Watson’s injury does not seem to be long-term and he could play play Saturday. Dude, don’t. I feel like if you go to the hospital, you shouldn’t play a football game six days. They went to the hospital. Oh, no. That’s the reporting after the game. Christian Watson. Man, that is good news. Uh, this is per I’m going to trust Google Gemini, which I usually don’t, but I really don’t I don’t want to research this further. Allegedly Bo May is 6’9, Luke is 6’8, Cole is 6’7, and Drake is the smallest at 6’4. So that’s why I went to go play. This is like the best the best version of being too small. Yeah, that’s a crazy fan. Yeah, that’s insane. I think they all went to North Carolina, too. Imagine being the smallest brother and you’re 6’4, dude. Tough. But it worked out. Tough. But now he’s got the big bank at the at the Thanksgiving table. Now he might win NFL MVP. Yeah, he might he might have just lost it yesterday with that with that loss to the Bills. And Allan I think is probably looking like going to be the guy, but we’ll see. A lot of football left to be played. A lot of basketball left to be played, too. Yeah, a lot of basketball left to be. We have to bring it back. Yeah. What if we just turn into Total Leum and Jordan? It’s just like next pod we’ll just be talking about like NASCAR. I don’t know, something random. I wish the F1 season was still there. We could talk about that. I I watched one race once. Not for me. No, I’m just not a big racing sports guy. I don’t really like any of them. It takes a little bit to get into. Yeah, you got to learn about all the storylines and the lore and the plot. Brewers made a good big trade. Yeah. Isaac Collins and uh somebody else. I’m Nick M. Nick Mir for Zerba. Yep. I hate it. Maybe a little bit of a two too. You undervalue Isaac Collins a little bit there. He was so bad to end the year. It It’s just a classic Brewers trade where I first looked at it and I was like, “Oh, those guys were good. I hate this trade.” And we’re going to check in in August. And this Zerba guy is going to have like a 18 erra. Collins is going to be DFA and Mir is going to have a six RA. I saw a tweet from like a a national like like an MLB centric account and they were like outfielders like this don’t grow on trees unless you’re the Brewers organization which they absolutely do. It’s just crazy. My big question with that though is like are they going to play Yellin left? Are they going to get another outfielder? We know Garrett Mitchell play you got Akil Bedu didn’t you? So Oh yeah. Uh he reminds me of the Who Christmas song. his name. Oh, that’s true. You’re kind of singing to that same tune. You see how much fun we have talking about non things, but we still power through for you the last schedule. Do we Oh, we did it already. It’s Thursday home, Wolves on the road. Only two games this week. That’s the the good news. Yep. The Milwaukee Bucks suffered one of the worst defeats the team has seen in franchise history on Sunday, losing by 45 points to the woeful Brooklyn Nets. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti tried to distract themselves with Phillip Rivers and other stuff but ultimately broke down the game and what it represents about the Bucks, and whether this is enough to see Doc Rivers fired.

  1. This team beats detroit but loses to nets by 40+. Clearly shows its a coaching problem. Talent wise we’re not that far behind pistons knicks and every bucks viewer can tell u that.
Fire doc and get somebody like malone or thibs who understands today’s basketball and is willing to be creative and most importantly can put energy into the team and hold the guys accountable instead of just flattering them. Maybe time to take the ball out giannis hands and give it to new guards and let giannis live in the paint.

  2. This is such a pathetic excuse for a team. Both the Packers and Bucks seasons ended on the same day. I’m just sad and devastated about the Packers whereas I’m furious about the Bucks. Blow it sky high and ship Giannis to the highest bidder.

We can’t afford to take back a worse package to get Giannis to a better destination. We drained the coffers for him and now he has to live with it

Also fire doc into the sun

  3. One of the worst losses in franchise history!? Guys, it's a regular season loss in December when our best player is out. Pull the plug on the season!? Are y'all trolling on purpose for engagement? You sound like children. Things are tough right now, guess we should all just give up. Great attitude fellas. You'll go far with that mindset. I'ma pull the plug on this podcast. Whine some more and tell us more about how you know so much better, and you're so much smarter than our coaching staff.

  4. Please WHY do we want lavine. Can someone explain that? PLEASE NOOOOO. We need DEFENSIVE WINGS and we need a winning culture player. Lavine does not improve ANYTHING for us.

Giannis screens seem to work perfectly fine for AJ green and Kevin porter jr. Not sure why nobody on the bucks could set dames preferred screen–he rejected them NO MATTER WHO SET THEM

  5. We have a very limited skill set. We are not terrible on all fronts but if the coach doesnt use our talent right we get fried. For example no game plan and clear sets. No plan to crash the glass. Playing short players against an all tall opponent.

  6. Do I think a good coach could have this current roster play better? I do. Yes.

But the team is 6 games under .500 in the East very limited roster flexibility and an injured Giannis losing by 45 to the Nets and going down the wire to other really bad teams.

    Something else needs to happen.
