Yeah, the Cardinals screen game was actually relatively effective against us.
I think the Cardinals are a bit better than their record (they had a very tough schedule, a lot like ours), but I have no doubt Demeco saw a lot of “teachable moments” on the tape.
Hopefully they clean it up, its likely our remaining opponents are going to have the same ideas, especially the Colts with Rivers and JT.

Yeah, it seemed like after the offense actually scored some points, the intensity of the defense slacked – the pass rush wasn’t as intense and the coverage was a bit looser.
Agreed. First time in those 6 straight wins where it felt like a struggle to get any domination. Special teams thankfully helped in nailing kick offs.

Definitely something to note and fix. Teams will do whatever they can to slow down this defense.
Hate to say it but I think they relaxed a bit on the lead.

Im happy this happened now when we had the lead vs a game where we needed them to shut down the other team. Learn and improve.

McBride is just a mf dawg
It’s almost like they didn’t meet up until Wednesday.
They basically shut down the entire offense except for McBride.
The cards should not have scored over 10 points.
We let them get to 20 points.
I mean the refs absolutely fucked us on that last cardinals td drive
Tbf McBride is an absolute stud. Hard to shut down completely, I think the overall performance lacked compared to what we’ve seen from this defense recently but you gotta give McBride his respect
I mean we were up 10-0 before they ever got the ball. Their offense had to come out aggressive right from the start.
Unfortunately Brissett kinda owns us. Idk how but I swear that man has torched us every time we’ve played

That’s basically the standard Demeco is holding his defense too.
Rightfully so because he knows this team goes as far as this defense allows it too and getting torched by a TE on a team that didn’t have many weapons is bad news, especially for those teams watching us with a close eye trying to see anything they can take advantage of. Id expect teams to try to incorporate that going forward, until we prove the proper adjustments are made.
Just glad they chose a game where we scored 40 points to have an off game
It didn’t seem like the pass rush was getting there.
Even generational D’s have off days. See Marino torching the ’85 Bears for instance.
On the whole we’re still excellent. Hopefully they take taht game personally for the rest of the season. Also, if your D’s bad day is giving up 20, you’re fine.
