What’s at Stake for Miami Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel vs the Steelers on MNF | The Rich Eisen Show
And here’s what’s at stake for the Miami Dolphins. How about this? Was the night before Halloween and all through the Miami house, not a single damn creature on Monday Night Football in a Dolphin uniform was stirring very well. Let’s not forget last we saw the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football was that finale of week nine against Baltimore. They lose 28-6. Remember two of was throwing one away in a fourth, you know, right on fourth down right before half. We’re not taking three. We’re going for it. We come away with nothing. And it was such a dreadful um performance that the general manager ate it right before the trade deadline. And I’m like, what’s going to happen with Mike McDaniel? Is a new general manager is going to come in and if it’s not, you know, on the same page as Mike, then maybe Mike’s gone. And all that’s happened since then is four consecutive wins to bring them one game within 500 tonight. And that night, if I had told all you, we come in on Halloween morning to do that Friday that uh pardon me, that Tuesday show, right? Oh, pardon me. It was a Thursday night game. My bad. Uh but come in on that Friday. It’s the last time we’ve seen them on on national television. If we come in on that Friday and I say to you, when the Dolphins play on Monday Night Football to finish up week 15, they’ll still be alive for the playoffs, but the Kansas City Chiefs won’t. What would you have told me? What are you smoking, bro? Give me some. Right. The old Bruce Arens drop. Chiefs are out. Dolphins are still in. So, there’s that. And if they win, they’ll be right there with the Ravens, who unfortunately for them aren’t in first place just yet. But maybe they would be. And if the Ravens pop up to four and the Steelers pop back in the sniffing category, they’ll be above Pittsburgh because they’ll have beaten them and getting back to 500 when nobody saw any of this coming. And I’m sitting here wondering about their ability to keep winning for Mike McDaniel. Yeah, one and six. We thought he’d be gone by now. It’s two and seven. They fire their general manager on a Thursday night. It was brutal. Now they were on Monday night to wrap up week 15 and then they go home to take on Cincinnati and Tampa. You’re saying there’s a chance and it’s got to go down in the freezing cold of Pittsburgh, PA tonight. That’s what’s at stake. I don’t think McDaniel’s job is on the line anymore. Personally, they like him. They also like what he does with Tua. So, here comes Tua to Pittsburgh, PA in the cold. Let’s go. Let’s see Hanold. Let’s see them all running. This is fun. They trade away Jaylen Phillips. They get rid of their general manager and then they go on this run and they are playing meaningful football later in the calendar year than the Kansas City Chiefs. Who knew? So going to feel like seven tonight in Pittsburgh. Feels like seven. That is not what it should feel like. No. No. Hey, you made it all the way to the end. Thanks for that. McDaniel has a tough task in front of him: the Steelers have never lost at Heinz Field on a Monday Night
The Dolphins' season is basically over even if they win out (a very specific scenario has to happen that won't). Right now people are playing for jobs.
I'm with Rich and the Jets . Why can't the Dolphins fans have anything NICE!!!!!!
This just shows how terrible half of the AFC is for dolphins to still be in it
Hopefully a loss, fired and take the Eagles to their threepeat as OC nextseason LFG🦅🦅🦅🦅
Its too little too late for the Dolphins. They've lost way too many games early on and have had to play massive catchup with multiple 10+ win teams in front of them
Tua always plays horribly in frigid cold weather
I think it’s too late for us to get into the playoffs but it would be awesome if we did by winning out
It's 18 degrees in Pittsburgh now. Have the Dolphins ever won below 40 degrees?
The overreaction hype after this game will be off the charts for both teams for both good and bad.
If the Dolphins make the playoffs, the documentary about this season should be called "1 Percent".
Tua and McDaniel's are going to stay because of the crappy contract extensions. Dump them both next year please!
Imagine the Dolphins with Burrow? Super Bowl bound. Imagine the Colts with Burrow? The Cowboys? Even the 49ers?? Those would be Super Bowl bound teams.
The Raiders once had the highest winning percentage of any team in professional sports. Things change.
It's 9 degrees right outside Pittsburgh…
They played in worse 2 years ago. Didn’t win – but they friggin did it. Either they show up or they don’t. They’re built different – we’ll see if it’s enough.
Even if the Dolphins win out they aren't making the playoffs. McDaniel isn't going anywhere because the owner loves him, yet still no playoff wins.
Go Mike! Go Dolphins!
well see what Rodgers does tonight dont miss it…
Another mediocre season for the Phish. The upside… not as bad as the sorry NY jets.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T the Miami Pound Machine!
Way to hype it up Rich 🐬🆙
No TJ watt. Dolphins OL has been phenomenal. Achane running all over Steelers. Same thing with there defense
