One of the years the Leafs had Wayne Simmons and I don’t remember which one it was. They were doing really well. He got hurt and they went on a bit of a slump. And one of the things they talked about was like, “Yeah, well, we miss him on the bench. They miss him as an emotional leader on the bench. Now it’s years later. They’ve changed all this personnel. They’ve gotten rid of all the dedicated babysitters this team has gone through over the years. And you know, for all the there’s too much emotion around this team. There is not nearly enough emotion around the Toronto Maple Leafs. What if Toronto looks psychotic because these guys are Xanax incarnate and we’re the ones freaking out? Like that’s why Toronto looks crazy cuz the players are cool as a cucumber about it and fans are freaking out going, “Wait a second. I can’t be the only one that sees this, right? These guys are horse tranquilizer with arms and legs.” Like what if it’s that? Nothing bothers that. I would like for things to start bothering the leaves

No, Leafs fans are just crazy. Look, I live in Minnesota… not a lot goes on in the winter months. It's dark by like 4PM… I get it. Have you heard of the phrase "you can't force it" ?
