Physical, HARD-hitting, chippy, and best of all ELITE. LOVE this defense and our offense needs to step up because this is a championship caliber defense we have right now ⚡️⚡️⚡️

  3. This franchise has lacked identity beyond “heroic QB play” and Chargering since about probably 2009.

    Hard nosed, punch in the mouth football is a good identity to have.

  5. Reminds me of the time I became a fan 20 years ago. Hard hitting, hard working players, that gave it all on every play. Swarming the QB, and the ball all the Time, and punishing those who are “lucky” enough to get it

  9. Kind of reminds me back in the day when we had Jamall Williams and the crowd would chant “You cant run on us”

  11. The Chargers defense had pride and a sense of identity in the JackBoyz years (at least against the pass). They definitely had an identity in Williams’, Merriman’s, Philips’, Cooper’s, etc.’s prime years. They definitely lost a lot of that in the early 2010s until JackBoyz and then lost it again in the Staley years after JackBoyz stopped being a thing of course. But it hasn’t been that long since the Chargers had a defense that kept the team in games. If anything, we’ve probably had more years of having relevant defenses than having actually good offenses considering our offensive line issues post-2009.

  12. Defense full of absolute DOGs. Love seeing vets like DP, DJ, and Unc bringing the hammer every game. Haven’t seen a Chargers defense be this chippy in a longgggg time

  14. I love this defense. They are pretty stout. But the Debby Downer in me points at the Indianapolis and Jacksonville games and says, “Don’t get too excited….they can still be exposed.” Getting beat is one thing, but getting utterly embarrassed like they did in those two games is a whole nother level.

  17. Its been ramping up the last few weeks the most…Tarheeb barking back at Saquon is when I noticed but if I went back I bet I’d be able to find more.
