I always felt the "boring Islanders" trope has always been overdone, but obviously they are a better well-rounded team now, they just need to tighten up defensively, but they have so many great forwards working together now, the Isles have not had any space to move around for more compatible linemates for say Maxim Tsyplakov, I understand the sophomore slump happens & especially after coming in from the KHL, but Tsyp had moments this year including his last game against the Panthers that led to the only goal, just has not had the supporting cast consistently

    And "sneak into the playoffs" they're 1 win out of 1st place

  14. The Islanders are a good group of guys and from day 1, they've welcomed the kid with open arms. There's nothing to dislike about his play or him as a person. He's wise beyond his years. I guarantee he will be captain when Lee retires.

  15. Schaefer and Aitchenson are gonna feed generations that blue lines gonna be electric once Eiserman Aitchenson Elklund Finley Ritchie George come to help they might be a first/second round playoff team they still need a lot of help offensively though

  17. Kid has the poise of a seasoned vet whenever I hear him interviewed.
    Unbelievable talent. Changed the entire team. We just need Palmeri and Romanov healthy again. Those were 2 tough losses.
