Jalen Brunson on what it’s like going into a game knowing there’s no implication on the standings: “You treat it like you would any other game… You’re playing for your team, the organization, your city. It’s a lot at stake besides the record. You go out there and compete no matter what.”

This may be crazy, but why not award the winner with a regular season W? Winning the cup could have that additional benefit and make things a little more interesting with seeding. Every team has a chance to win it, so it isn’t exactly unfair. Loser doesn’t get an L
Glad the guys will compete, I know its not going on our record, but you love to see them show up and play hard, not like its the damn all star game
I can respect the competitiveness. Even if it’s not a very meaningful trophy, it helps create a culture and desire to win more. But if it were me, I’d just have the young guys go out there and play their hearts out for it

I have no doubt with this team. No knuckleheads. They’re almost too boring to fvck around. :0
All things considered, I’m good if Jalen takes a load management night
Link to buy this hat?
Imagine having all the games leading up to the title game count for something but not the actual “championship” game lmao.
Which idiot came up with this.
Should just play the bench the whole game since theyre the ones who stand to gain the most financially so they’ll play their hearts out. And also wouldn’t be risking injury to star players for no reason.
Captain wants to win it for us!
