  2. This may be crazy, but why not award the winner with a regular season W? Winning the cup could have that additional benefit and make things a little more interesting with seeding. Every team has a chance to win it, so it isn’t exactly unfair. Loser doesn’t get an L

  4. I can respect the competitiveness. Even if it’s not a very meaningful trophy, it helps create a culture and desire to win more. But if it were me, I’d just have the young guys go out there and play their hearts out for it

    Should just play the bench the whole game since theyre the ones who stand to gain the most financially so they’ll play their hearts out. And also wouldn’t be risking injury to star players for no reason.
