The Los Angeles Chargers Are Doing EXACTLY What The NFL FEARED…

The Los Angeles Chargers did exactly what the NFL feared. They walked over here to Kansas City and just straight out beat them. Now, I do want to say prayers go out to Patrick Mahomes. I hope he has a speedy recovery, right? It's I know competitive sport fans don't like Kansas City that much, but man, hopefully he gets healthy soon. Man, that does suck. But back to the point of the video, the Chargers are terrifying. This is a team that can win the championship if and only if they can stay healthy. Okay, look at this play here as they're going to be in a full slide of the offensive line here to the left as they bootleg out to the right. You're going to see tight end here or wide receiver. I think that's Noah Gray. So, tight end is going to mirror Tuli as we get outside of the pocket. They're going to try to sit in these zone coverages. Not really going to work too well. Chargers do a great job um kind of one playing within their zones, but two not allowing those passing windows to be too big, right? So, as he steps up in the pocket, Tuli starts to break loose. They end up getting a sack on this play. But what's important to understand about this game specifically is the Eagles in the Super Bowl gave you the blueprint of how to beat the Kansas City Chiefs. Don't give Pat Mahomes comfortable time in the pocket. Okay, what does that mean? Don't give him time where you can just sit there and make a play, make a decision, right? You get him outside the pocket. You flush him back inside. You force pressure onto him. In this game, the Chargers had 27 pressures, five sacks, 18 quarterback hurries, and they were just really good. But the number that really stands out to me looking at the Chargers defense this year is right here, number four. They rank number four in the NFL. literally top five in the NFL when it comes to QB sack percentage defensively. That is amazing. This is what wins you championships. They also rank number two in the NFL and interception percentage defensively. Does that make sense? 100%. Whenever you can force pressure on a quarterback, this number, right, you're going to force a lot of bad throws, a lot of interceptions, and that's what they are doing right now. They rank number nine in the NFL in points allowed per game. The offense does need to be a little bit better, I will admit. But so far, the defense is unreal. We are going to break down a ton of film from this defense in this game. Before we do so, make sure you guys do me a big favor. Hit the like button if you want more Charger videos. Also, comment down below who do you think is the biggest threat to take down this Charger team in the AFC. And with that being said, let's dive into the video. Another play where they're able to generate pretty much instantaneous pressure up through the A gap. The offensive line is going to be in a fiveman scat or a slide protection off here to the right. They're going to combo block here. But what that does is leave one-on-one's here to the outside out of this 11 personnel set. We're going to priest that motion Rasheed Rice into a return route over the middle of the field. But again, watch Deshawn Hand as he explodes through this gap pretty much right away. I believe is actually the B gap. Yeah. Goes right through the left guard, explodes, forces Pat Mahomes to step up in the pocket and then get this ball out early. Again, we got the return route over the middle. Should be a completion here for them. He has a little bit of leverage, but again, because we're able to force this pressure back on the strong side, right? It's a terrible ball into the feet of Rashid Rice. Great coverage there by Henley. I mean again love the way this defensive line performed guys. Eight pressures by Tuli, seven from Khil Mack. Odaf Oowaya had four pressures and two sacks. Deshawn Hand had four pressures. They were just getting it done, man. They were getting it done. That is the blueprint how to beat this team. And now you've eliminated them from the playoffs, right? They're done. You don't have to go through Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs if you make the playoffs this year, which is huge for Buffalo, the Chargers. I mean, everybody. It's huge. Really is, man. It's opened. It's opened up. Now, who can win it all? Anybody. Anybody. Before we look at this play here where OA comes out in this wide nine, do me a big favor, guys. Hit the like button, but also subscribe to the channel if you are new. It is free. It doesn't cost anything. We will be covering the Chargers all year long. offense, defense, individual player breakdowns. We've got you guys covered. So, turn on your post notifications. And with that being said, let's continue to dive into some more film. Let's look at OA here to the bottom side of your screen lined up in a wide nine technique essentially on the outside shoulder of this tight end. We're actually going to want to reach the inside shoulder off the snap. So, again, wide nine technique. We get to the inside shoulder as we get our leverage. You see how he plants the left foot into the ground? He forces all the weight of this tackle to the inside foot just in case he explodes this back through that C gap. Um, he wants to be there, right? So, what ends up happening is we get all that weight to the inside foot. We're going to hop around, swap the arms down of the tackle. Now, he's got zero leverage. Again, all that weight's on the inside foot. So, as we explode to the outside, we have leverage. We bend off the edge here and then boom, we end up getting another sack here on Patrick Mahomes who again, let's also give credit to this the coverage because there's nothing open here. There's nothing open. I mean, if he had time and they didn't get pressure, I could see Travis Kelce breaking open here and probably getting uh, you know, an over the shoulder type of catch down the side, but they don't have time. They don't have time for plays like this. But everything else because he's scrambling out to this right side, not open. not open, right? I don't know what's going on down here. That don't look open. There's nothing there. Defense played unbelievable in this game. Week 14 of the NFL season is officially here and I am super excited because I wanted to share my picks with you for this weekend's slate of games. I've been using the Sleep Wrap. They are amazing. If you put in 50, they'll give you 50, right? It's so easy. I would sign up just for that alone, just for the extra play uh bonuses, right? But this is my this is my pick for this weekend. Okay, Joe Burrow, one passing touchdown versus Buffalo. I could see this being a high-scoring game. I like this. I don't I don't think it's going to be too difficult to get that. Jamar Chase is coming off a rough week. I think he's going to have a big day, but I only have 50 yards. I feel like that's simple. That's could be just one catch for a guy like Jamar Chase versus Buffalo. Again, highscoring game. JSN versus Atlanta. JSN had a terrible week last week. He's going to bounce back. We all know it. Rasheed Rice 50 yards versus Houston. Listen, Kansas City cannot lose this game. If they lose this game, season is over. Season is wraps out the window. They need to win this game. Rashid Rice is the best playmaker. He's going to get the ball. Bucky Irving, right? Second game back versus the Saints. I think they could run up the score versus New Orleans. And I think Bucky will score at least one touchdown. I have 30 to win 90. I think this is fair. I I don't think it's too bad. Let me know what you guys think. And again, use promo code dubs, right? So, make sure you guys check out sleeper today. Another great play by OA here. Bottom side of your screen. Obviously, wide five technique outside shoulder of the tackle. And essentially, as they play fake this to the running back, we are going to establish leverage. We're not going to overcommit. Linebackers, they're taught to read, react, and then attack before overcommitting to certain running angles. The reason you do that is because if you commit early, well, boom. Now we're trying to stop the run when it's a play fake to the left. So he engages just in case it is a run. He doesn't overcommit. Once he sees, okay, quarterback has the ball. Then he starts to attack the pass rush. Right. So now he he's going to kind of hook by again. Bends off that edge. Let me see if I can move my camera over here. Give you guys a better look. As he gets through, all he's doing is reading the quarterback as he steps up. Avoids pressure. He gets there and he swallows up Patrick Mahomes in the back field for another sack in this game. Odaf Ooway man he's been a really good pickup. I really like their pass rush. I mean Khalil Muli Odaf, right? You got Hand, you got Tart. Who else you got? You got um um Otto I believe his name is. Who else? There's someone else that I'm missing. Don't know why I can't think of. But there's someone else on this Dline that's been really damn good for them. So again, got to give credit where credit is due. If you have a defense that can be in the upper echelon right here, you're going to win a lot of football games. They do need to shore up. If they could stop the run, this would be the best team in football. If they could stop the run a little bit better, they were in like the top 10. They [snorts] would be unreal. All right, once again, another great pass rush here. They're going to be in a scat or slide protection off to the right. You got man-to-man here to the left side. Tuli is going to demoralize this left guard as he gets outside leverage once he shifts all the weight from inside uh to outside foot of the guard. He's going to spin back to the inside. Boom. All the weight on the outside foot spins inside. Now Mahomes starts to panic, right? He can't wait anymore. He's got to get the ball out quick and he decides to throw this little wheel route down the right sideline to Kareem Hunt, which is probably not the best move. He actually might be throwing this ball away, but Henley turns around, gets it, and finds the ball for an interception here. Again, the pass rush did everything they could in this game. 27 pressures is legit, man. That is legit. 18 hurries. Yeah, count me in. I think this team's really good. Also, another thing we have to talk about, they had 20 stops in this game. 20 stops. I believe that is the definition of a stop is like a tackle that results in a one to two yard gain or a a loss, right? So, that is also big is also big. They did they did a great job in this football game and uh give credit to them, man. Chargers are are up there. They're one of the best teams in the NFL, at least in my opinion, defensively. Offensively, they need to be a little better. They need to get healthy. I think it's coming. Make sure you guys hit the like button, subscribe, join the family, turn on post notifications, and I'll see you guys in the next update. Should be soon.

  1. As a chargers fan, jags are the scariest matchup in the playoffs. Liam Cohen seems to have Minter’s number – both with TB last year and with JAX this year
