  1. They're not going to find another QB to pay next year anyway, so the money doesn't matter: just start the best guy. Many teams would love to have Tua as their backup – it's hardly a bad situation.

  2. Still blows my mind that Jones, Murray, Tua, and a few other QBs who have never shown consistent QB play (Jones did this year til he got hurt) but somehow teams are dumb enough to give them hundreds of millions. Which then leads them to be in precarious salary cap conditions. Anthony Richardson gets drafted 1st round. Johnny Manziel gets drafted 1st round. Tim Tebow gets drafted 1st round. None ever showed they could be NFL QBs. And so on…

I swear I could pick better QBs than whoever is for nearly half the teams in the NFL. Maybe they're just too close to the game and can't see for the for the trees or whatever that saying is.

  3. Why bring up passer rating when it’s so misleading? Analysts use EPA—which tua is 27th this year and 18th last year. And they paid him HOW MUCH?

  4. I'd bench Tua for Ewers. That give him a chance to get reps and be evaluated against starters. Tua will probably get another shot next year because of cap, but that's next year's problem.

  5. Nevermind Tua, last night they abandoned the run game on the first possession, threw the ball, and went three and out. This is a bad pattern for Miami, they run the ball well and then for some reason forget to do it. Tua's another issue.

  6. Rich. Tua's passer rating was in the 100's at the end of the 4th QT because the Steelers LET him get his garbage time stats up to kill the clock. While you're saying "Oh, his stat line looked pretty good" like the rest of the Tua defenders, the Steelers were saying "Go ahead, take that stat line and kill 6 minutes and score once and end your season" That's where the problem lies with Tua. His "stat lines" might look good to the eye but when you realize how he gained those garbage time stats then you can see that Tua isn't doing Miami any favors by being their Franchise QB.

  7. Tua STINKS
He cost the same on the team or not. If you have the choice, and money isn't a factor for or against, CUT HIM

Tua hurts the team. Period. He's been bad since 2024 let's be real

  8. His dead cap next year is NOT 90 million dollars. It's around 47 if im not mistaken. They can spread it out over 2 years if they trade him for peanuts after June 1st with the bigger dead cap hitting in 2027. Maybe they can get a team to agree to pay some of that 2027 cap if he's still on their team. Making the dead cap hit manageable. I don't think he's the QB next year. He has too many limitations and the things he was good at.. he isn't anymore. Miami likely goes in the market for a veteran bandaid for a year and drafts a QB in 2027 or maybe take Allar and let him sit a year. Daniel Jones or Russel Wilson for a year?

  9. You don't last in this league without producing, and the returns have been marginal next to the money spent. It's nothing personal, but it is time to see if he can succeed somewhere else because it isn't happening in Miami.

  10. Tua's passer rating was 113 but his QBR was 12.2. A disparity like that is almost inconceivable. I don't understand either metric, but I assume the QBR takes sack yardage loss and INTs more into account. Still, my eye test leans more towards the QBR than rating. Tua just didn't look sharp.
