Evan will have mixed feelings if the Mets sign Cody Bellinger to a deal they didn’t give Pete Alonso

Here's what we're waiting for, and this is where I'll be very mixed about the Mets sign and Cody Bellinger. I want to be perfectly honest with you, cuz there is a chance that the glass breaks. And I've gone over this in my head multiple times, especially doing what we do. This isn't the Rico Bron. I want to be fair. I think it's a Yankee story first. Like, if Cody Bellinger signs right now with the Mets, if the glass broke, I would say, Met fans, let's give it a little bit of time, and I would get your response and my response on how it impacts the Yankees cuz I do think it's bigger to the Yankees. >> Oh, you give me anxiety even thinking of that. But here's where I'm mixed with the Mets, and I have to learn how to cope. They didn't give Pete Alonzo a five-year contract. If they give Cody Bellinger a 5-year contract or more when Cody is 6 months younger, it's going to annoy me because even though Bellinger is a far better defensive player, LIKE I JUST SAID, HE'S had years in his career in which he's been unplayable. Pete hasn't. So, I'm going to have a tough time separating the two things. Now, if it's a three-year deal or a four-year deal, maybe I'm better. I'm like, "All right, you know, it's not a 5year deal." But if it turns into a bigger contract than what Pete got, before I really get into what Bellinger brings, I gotta be honest with you, I think it's gonna take me a

  1. I'm a 50 year Mets fan and I don't even want Bellinger……let the Yankees keep him. You don't know what you're getting with him. He went from an MVP to an average player….. he's been better again but he's not a sure thing

  7. i don't see Bellinger coming to the Mets more then likely he returns to the Bronx. both sides are tying to come to an agreement on the years. Yankees are firm on 5 Belli wants 6-7 years unless there's another team willing to give him those years i see Belli coming back.
