Because everyone expected Ace Bailey to show signs of being a star in the making and so far he has shown it in flashes but would you guys say the potential is there? Or is this a case of being hyped up too soon?

I think the potential is still there. We’ve seen some guys really come league ready out of college, but there are a lot that need a few years.
Yeah a little bit. But context is important here.
Lebron didnt make all star his rookie year. Tmac didnt make the jump to all pro till he left toronto.
Just from what we seen so far. I think Ace’s combination of his height and form on his shot (quick release, he doesnt push, ball comes out as he’s hitting the top of his jumper). As is, he’s at least an nba player.
But something to give the faithful some hope, ace’s shown signs of knowing where to be and a willingness to learn. Its a good indicator for the growth of his mental game.
Add a couple of years of putting in the work as a pro and building his body out like keyonte, i think he’s poised to take a leap. Excited to see how he ends the season and what tools he comes back with in year 2.
Highest draft pick the Jazz have had since Dante Exum, the harrowing week and a half drama surrounding his coming to Utah and his “manager”, all tied up neatly in a bow with some very promising preseason showings and praise from KD that all accumulated to leave a very lasting impression of Ace Bailey in everyone’s mind.
I think he’s about 3-4 weeks out from having his first real “breakout” game, but so far he hasn’t done anything to warrant me being concerned about him. He’s raw even for a rookie, but not in a bad way, and not in a way that means he isn’t showing signs of being a serious player in the NBA. He just has so many tools and elements to his game that, once he puts them all together, will make him a very threatening and diverse player.
