  1. It’s been obvious for a while. He was already retired from coaching for a reason. He’d rather be on a golf course selling snake oil to executives than trying to actually coach…

  2. The game has passed him by. Around 2012 basketball started to evolve where coaches couldn’t get away with “yeah we need to be better” without any actual action behind the words. Big personalities like Doc could produce wins. There’s never anything wrong in Docs eyes because he views the players as just needing to play better.

Doc has always been a players coach who coaches by repeating cliches and attempting to maintain a good vibe. He prioritizes individual player success over the team. There is never any actual action that changes things aside from a lineup tweak here and there, yet to him that is coaching. If you’re one of his “guys” you’re set in the rotation.

The difference between him and Erik Spoelstra since 2012 is one coach being carried by star players while everything is laid back status quo “needing to be better” during hard times while the other coach is actively working to make his team better, and often does.

  3. Honestly, what will it take for them to fire him at this point? Are they just waiting to see what Giannis wants?

  4. Really? If Giannis is the only reason we’re keeping Rivers, I’m sorry, but it’s time to move on from Giannis. And I’d honestly start questioning Giannis’ knowledge for the game if he thinks Doc is the answer.

  5. Admittedly insane conspiracy that’s been bouncing around my head for awhile; Haslem agreed to solo pay Docs salary in exchange for firing Griffin in order to sabotage the franchise on purpose.

I don’t believe Haslem has any desire to keep the team in Milwaukee, all of the moves he’s forced has fucked us over for the long term. I would guess he’s the big Doc supporter in the ownership group because he knows Doc will cause the team to suck, and when this team has an extended down period I will bet anything he’s going to try to buy out the other owners and move the Bucks to Ohio where all his other teams are.

  6. He knows if he gets fired he can chill and golf while still earning the rest of his contract.

He also knows that this is his last NBA contract so he has nothing to loose since his reputation is already at the bottom of the barrel.

  7. From what I observe the mistake was not hiring Terry stotts from the get-go. Giannis liked Griffin and wanted him, bad management decision to listen to a player like that. Probably the best bet was to go with Terry stotts. After all, he did coach Dame from the get-go in Portland.

  8. He also wants to sit rollins when giannis comes back and have him off the bench. Seriously impressive this dumbass can even manage to start his car

  9. Doc has two goals: to force Giannis out of Milwaukee and to get fired so he can get paid to not work.

He’s already getting paid to not work, but he still has to show up to games unfortunately. He’s trying so hard to get fired. Maybe owners are just trying to stick it to him by not firing him

  10. job as a coach is to motivate players and represent the team. This dude is a joke, and I dream of the day I don’t see his lazy ass on the sideline

  11. It’d be fun to see behind the scenes if he is motivated. Like is it actually a really pain in the ass team to coach or are they remarkably easy team to coach and he’s just god awful.

  12. I like the guts of any coach that has four days off and makes sure the guys can take at least two full days off to recuperate rather than practice every day , install something, anything, or work on getting better at something lol

  13. He retired for a reason. Then when the Bucks came calling he told them no way unless they made him an offer worth so much he’d have no choice but to reluctantly put his golf bag down and take it angry that they actually wrote the check. No shit he sounds like he doesn’t want the job, because he genuinely doesn’t.

  14. I’m under the belief that Doc was literally sent by the NBA to sabotage the Bucks in order to force Giannis out of Milwaukee.

  15. There is a reason the Bucks stopped posting behind the scenes of their practice session since coach Bud was fired.  They don’t want us to know that the coach they hired doesn’t do anything.  They also stopped doing Bucks All- Access videos and have been less transparent since Doc was hired.  They don’t practice because they hired a coach who is only there to collect his paychecks.  This unserious organization doesn’t want to reveal to the fans that they’re purposely trying to tank, which is probably one of the reasons Giannis wants out

The fact that this guy is still the coach should tell you everything you need to know about the state of this organization.  If they are not purposely trying to tank or punt the season,  then something is seriously wrong with everyone in this organization from top to bottom.  They’re laughing in our faces at this point, and most of us are sick and tired of their games.  Fire Doc, or you’re lying to us about not tanking.  Everyone from owners, GM, and coaching staff should be ashamed of what they’ve turned this organization into.

Instead of leaking out another stupid memo about trying to do everything they can to keep Giannis.  How about they focus on actually being a serious organization for once instead of always hiding behind Giannis.  How about fire this loser coach and his useless assistant coaches.  Better yet, we want Jimmy Haslam to freaking sell his shares and take his golf buddy with him.  This team has been a shit show since he became part owner and forced Horst to hire Doc. In the span of 2 years since Doc got here, we went from being a top 3 team in the east to now one of the worst teams in the league. No sense of urgency and zero accountability.  We are tired of the lies.  We are tired of mediocrity. No more stupid hail mary moves.
