[Passan] Right-handed reliever Jordan Romano and the Los Angeles Angels are in agreement on a one-year, $2 million contract, sources tell ESPN. Romano, 32, heads to an Angels team loading up on reclamation projects in hopes of recapturing the form that landed him on two All-Star teams.

  1. For a second I thought we had signed Romano again,
then for a second I thought he signed with the Dodgers.

  2. An 8.23 ERA means you can’t be picky if teams want to pay you ANYTHING to play in the majors again. He made $8.5 million last year with the Phillies…

  3. “BREAKING NEWS!”

“The name MLB is being changed to Dodgers and the Dodgers have siigned every player in the MLB… the Dodgers will now play themselves in the World Series.”

  4. There goes my dream of Romano on a MILB deal then joining the pen and having a renaissance.

I’m happy he got an MLB deal with someone, sucks it’s with LA not exactly a hot spot for pitching development

  5. Coming off the last couple years, he’s pretty fortunate to get a major league deal and a guaranteed 2 mill. Maybe he can regain his form there.

  6. Romano was awesome as a Jay (mostly)

He sucked last year but I hope he can turn it around

  7. Vastly over rated as a Jay and struggled everywhere else. apparently the Angels need someone a step above a fielder to pitch in a blow out

  8. The Phillies sub, not surprisingly, is celebrating.

A real shame, I liked Romano when he was with the Jays. He really fell hard this past season.

  9. Man, he’s going to a team where players go to get injured and disappear….Good luck Mad Man!

  10. Hope he turns it around, reliever careers are so weird but when he was on in Toronto he was a joy to watch

  11. still remember jays twitter having a meltdown over him being let go. times change. sports are funny
