The Mariners have legitimate interest in Brendan Donovan
Well, the interest level is high and you know this is a player that the Mariners would be attracted to and that it could fill a need. He's got positional versatility. They like the age group of it, the price of course as far as salary for him. Uh it is good and you know it is just exactly the type of player that they tend to look for at this time of the year. Somebody that can fit in with what they have already. And with all that said, he's not the only option that they have. It's they've got multiple directions that they could go. Their main priority right now is that they need to add a a significant bat and I know you look at Donovan and it's more doubles power, but he is somebody that could help out in uh the leadoff spot which has kind of been a weakness for them last year. So that would be of interest to them as well. So uh I think it'll be interesting to see what goes. The interest is there and I heard the report that you know they are a favorite right now. that might be a little bit premature. Other teams could get involved with that.
