Eduardo Rodriguez, Lance McCullers Jr, and Aaron Nola by a hair, take the 3 man rotation. Honorable mention Yu Darvish. Today it the Relief Pitcher (only 1). (Yes he will be counted here since he's technically not out of the league yet and he pitched last season.)

  1. Tanner Scott. But relief pitchers are weird so maybe he bounces back. But right now feel like it has to be him.

  2. Jordan Hicks. Scott despite not doing well in 2025 still saved 23 games and 22 in 2024. Hicks isnt even a setup guy and is getting paid 4-5th starter money at 4/44. Hicks has never been a consistent closer and the contract was handed out because 3 teams ago, the Cardinals thought he could be a starter. Dodgers can throw Scott in the 8th inning and maybe be okay while I dont want Jordan Hicks on my team and the fact that he came over in the Devers deal makes it worse.

  3. Jordan Hicks. Maybe I am biased as a sox fan, but the sheer dread I felt every time he’d take the mound would be a perfect addition to this horrorshow team.

  4. OP you better not be tricky and start looking at the worst manager contracts before we get to 3rd base xD

  5. Tanner Scott

Dude was so bad , he lost the closer role and his team had to pay another closer even more money to fill his spot in the bullpen .

  6. Wasn’t there a guy the Guardians signed a year or two ago named Trevor Stephan who barely pitched for them and they gave him a multi-year contract?

  7. Considering Gregory Santos is actually a myth and doesn’t exist, I’m voting for him despite his pre-arb contract. Paying any money to a fictional person is a terrible contract.

The only reason I don’t think he’s an AI slop filling a roster spot to launder money is because it’s only like $700k a year, hardly enough to be worth laundering.

  8. I wonder if OP is going to do 13 days of pitchers to avoid 3B as long as possible, since the 26 man has a 13 pitcher limit.

  9. Hahahah…love that we’re saving 3rd base until last. Tomorrow is gonna be bullpen catcher, then after that team manager, then head trainer, then GM. We could draw this thing out until April if we go into the minors

  10. OP is going to be diabolical tomorrow and ask for the worst contract for a non-active player
