  1. At this point i feel like if you have excess relievers you should be shopping them with how fast the market is moving here. Wow

    Dominguez, Rogers, Fairbanks left

  2. is their sales pitch “hey at least you won’t have to move” to all these former yankees?

  3. Yeah the Mets need guys and he’s a solid reliever. Should be good.

It shouldn’t be surprising that the Mets and Yankees are constantly passing around the same guys. They both have large analytics departments, are model heavy teams that will be circling similar targets, and are both rich so they’ll constantly be winning the bidding for known players. Also yes a lot of people like New York and you don’t have to move

  4. He’s been good the last few years but why does our front office have such a former Yankee fetish

  5. forget the dakota pipeline. the bronx to queens pipeline is strong. at this point trent grisham will be a met in 2027 too.

  6. Genuinely heartbreaking, Weaver was one of my favorite players and just such a joy to have on the team. Man is pure comic gold, and just a dog on the mound.

Never will forget his linsanity closer run in through the end of ‘24.

    Really bummed about this one.

  7. It’s sort of funny at this point.

And I’m sure they’re going to turn him into a starter and he’ll be surprisingly good for about 3 months and then get tired.

  8. Perhaps the Yankees and Mets can do some sort of dynastic marriage and merge into a single entity to finally unite the city in harmony.

  9. I’ll never forget his run as our closer last September. He saved the whole season for us. So long, Dream Weaver. 😔

  10. This is starting to get pretty funny. Let’s sign King and Bellinger too. Really lean into this.

  11. It would be funny if Weaver and Williams were actually good for the Mets just because Yankees suck.

  12. Assuming Bellinger is next. Grisham probably would’ve been a Met by now if he didn’t take the QO lol.

  13. “Luke Weaver and Devin Williams were unplayable in New York last year, let’s see if a change of scenery does them any good.”

    -The New York Mets

  14. this is the 15th ex-yankees the cohen mets have signed. im beginning to think cohen has a type. he said he wanted the mets to be dodgers east but in truth he really wanted to be yankees jr. if the yankees ever fired boone, i’ll bet he’ll sign with the mets within the week
