IT JUST GOT EVEN BETTER FOR THE DETROIT RED WINGS & ALEX DEBRINCAT… AWESOME NEWS & UPDATES
It just keeps getting better for Stevie Y and his Detroit Red Wings. In this video, we’re going to go over the results of yesterday’s Wings and Islanders game where Alex de Brinkit helped the Red Wings edge the Islanders. Oh man, put it back in your pants there, baby. Sorry, that was way out of pocket. Blame the NHL for titling it this man. Red Wings edge the Islanders. Anyways, we’ll talk about this. We’ll talk about the results, not just the 3 to2 score itself, but some of the extra numbers and fancy stats behind it. And if we have some time, I want to maybe talk about prospects, too. Don’t know entirely if we’re going to be able to have that conversation. Maybe at the end of this video, but we’ll see. Yesterday, however, the Detroit Red Wings ended up beating their demons. They edged the Islanders 3-2 in regulation with a gutsy comeback win. Emil Heinaman got things started off with the scoring in the first, but then Axel Santine Pelica from Lucas Raymond scored a really nice, really little casual, cheeky, slick topshelf goal as he squeaked down towards the goal line from the right side point. I mean, look at number 44 right there. Top of your screen. He gets through the check. He comes towards the goal and oop, there you go. Sorry. Bye-bye. That’s a goal. Beautiful little play there. And it is a 1-1 hockey game. De Brink then makes it two to one Detroit from Moider and Lucas Raymond before Scott Mayfield ties things up later in the third. De Brinket in the final two minutes and 17 seconds of the game. Ends up getting another one also from Cider and Raymond. He pounces on his own rebound and scores his 20th goal of the campaign. Alex de Brinket, my friends, is one of the top goal scorers in the National Hockey League. He was tied for fourth overall from yesterday’s showcase with Conor McDavid and Jason Robertson for goals on the year. Only Capriav, Morgan Geeki, and Nathan McKinnon have more goals than Debrink this season. And the funny part is, yes, it’s true Cat is literally tied for fourth in the league in goals, but he did all of this after an abbysmal goalcoring start to his campaign. Might I remind you, De Brinket didn’t score his first goal of the season until October 25th. This was the one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. 10th game of the year. Excuse me, no. Ninth game of the year. He went eight games without a goal to open up the 2526 campaign. Yes, he was getting points. I mean, three points, four points, five, six points, seven points. He was getting points under a point per game guy with only assists to open up the year. But once the floodgates started, oh boy, that’s when he has started to go ballistic. You just do the math. Take out the first eight games of the season. It means that Alex Debrink has scored 20 goals in 26 games. Oh my goodness. Do the math on 20 goals in 26. 20 divvy 26 multiplied out by 82. Ever since missing out on the first eight games worth of goals, Alex Debrink has been scoring at a 63 goal pace. My fantasy team is feeling it and I love it. And I’ve also got Lucas Raymond. So seeing May Ray go I just called him May Ray. Oh my goodness. I’m so used to having Mason Raymond in my mind. Seeing Lucas Raymond with three assists yesterday, two of them being on the power play obviously was a pretty big dub for me as well. But I digress, man. Alex Debrink has gone out there and done some pretty gnarly things. And take a look at this tweet posted by Logan Reaver yesterday. De Brink becomes the fastest Red Wings player to score 20 goals in a season since Henrik Zederberg in 2007 2008. It’s also the first game with newborn Leighton in attendance and cat gets the game winner. Poetry. Yeah, I think Leighton debrink has to go to more games. I don’t know about you. I don’t make the rules, but uh I think that’s just how things have to go here. But what a crazy achievement. Fastest Red Wings player to score 20 goals in a year in almost 20 years. I mean, 2007, 2008, 18 years ago. That is ridiculous, man. and Alex Debrink’s going out there and doing things that haven’t been done since then, despite the fact that he went eight games without a goal to open up the season. I mean, if he ends up consistently producing at this 63 goal pace from here on out to the rest of the year, he’ll still end up with like what 50some goals, he’s currently on pace, if you just do the math right now for 48. So that is even with the discrepancy at the beginning there. 39 points, 34 games played for De Brink and on pace for 94 points over a full 82. I regret dropping Patrick Kane in fantasy so bad. I needed the IR spots and the guy was injured. So yeah, I had to let him go because Jack Hughes ended up getting hurt. Was that around the same time that Patrick Kane was out? I don’t know. But one of my other buddies ended up taking him and now I’m regretting it till the end of time. Even though Patrick Kane didn’t actually score any points in the most recent game against New York. Other fun facts though, take a look at this. It’s been 10 years since the last time the Red Wings had at least 41 points through 34 games played. The 2015 16 season was also the last year the team had made the playoffs. So, how about that? Exercising your demons. finally finding a way to edge the Islanders and to get the dub over a team that’s been pretty hot lately and putting yourself at the top of the Atlantic Division one more time. All this to say, it’s the best the Red Wings have done since the last time they made the playoffs. De Brinkit is scoring goals at a pace unseen since Henrik Zederberg and things are looking really, really great in Mottown. Now, I just wanted to go out there for completionists sake and go out there and see Henrik Zederberg’s statistical profile. What did the stat go out there and say? Let’s bring up Logan’s tweet one more time. Fastest since Zedterberg in 2007208. So, Z in that season was able to score 92 points in 75 games played, 43 goals as well. Was that the careerhigh for Zedterberg in terms of goals in a season? Yeah, I believe it was. And the best part is Debrink has had 40 goal seasons already in the past. He has hit 41 twice in his career, both times with Patrick Kane on the other side of his wing. And last year he hit 39 goals. So obviously there is good ammo for De Brinket to be able to hit, let’s just say 39 or 40, maybe even beyond that if he continues scoring at the crazy pace he is at. Maybe he can get to 50. Who really knows? I mean, right now he’s in the conversation as to being a longshot rocket rashard level guy. In fact, I wanted to do this here, too. Can we see the advanced stats on nhl.com custom filters, games played? Can I see since? since shooting percentage. No, I don’t think I can see since. But anyways, I wanted to exclude the first eight games of the season for Alex Debrink. I would probably bet that he’s a little bit higher than some of these other guys. Maybe Conor Mack, maybe Jason Robertson if you exclude the opening streak that Debrink hasn’t scored. But either way, I mean, even without taking away the penalties and the non-scoring games at the start of the year, Dbrank is still fourth overall in the league. So, that does bode very well for the Detroit Red Wings. And as long as Lucas Raymond can continue getting those power play points, I think it’s a pretty good sign heading into the future of this season. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. How do you feel about the Detroit Red Wings and this update over here? Also, we didn’t get a chance to talk about the prospects just because this video and the timing on it is running down. We could probably talk about them another day. There’s some fun goalender updates in the Wings organization that we can dive into. But for now, let me know your thoughts in the comments section below how it keeps on getting better for Alex Debrink and the Detroit Red Wings. I hope you enjoyed this video and bye.

Best team effort of the year and first true complete game on all fronts. Still having difficulty capitalizing on opportunities but if they can play like this night in and night out they’ll win way more than they lose. And just be dang fun to watch. Just wish Kasper could get off the schnide.
GO WINGS GO! Absolutely loved the ASP goal! If that kid can do that all the time who needs Quinn Hughes 🤣
We are still a swiss cheese team. That is the ONLY common denominator in the decade of the Yzerplan.
and imagine virtually no one is forecasting DeBrincat gets the call for team USA 🙁
